Have a love hate relationship with this place. NOISE — there is ZERO sound proofing in this place and it seems to attract customers who like to thump around between 12-4am. Not great if youre wanting to ski the next day. They really need to make a notice telling people to be considerate and quiet after 10pm as the sound proofing is so so bad. FOOD — the food is great. The first night you get lamb to grill yourself with chicken and veggies. It's delicious. Every night is different. The breakfast spread is great. Don't miss the bread pudding. The price per night with htese meals is pretty good. The rooms are small but big enough. The beds are comfy. Like most Japanese places they only give you one pillow SMH but you can ask for another. They'll unwillingly give you one. Haha The heaters aren't great they heat the room 5'C above what you set it to and then slowly cool to a degree below what you set and the cycle continues. It gets too hot in my opinion. All in all it's been an adequate stay.
This place is terrible. Be warned that smoking is permitted in all rooms so any promise of a non-smoking room is a lie. The entirety of the place reeks to the point of nausea. The staff are skittish and unprofessional. We were told three times over the two days we were there that we needed to pay for a beer we had despite the fact that we paid for it immediately. There's somewhere better for you to stay… don't waste your time or money here.

It's a room for you to rest in, not the cleanest, but also not unhygienic at all. The whole place has a quaint country feel to it. For the budget conscious traveler, this is definitely a place to consider. Things to note: we did not have air con in our rooms.
