La Casella Antico Feudo di Campagna

We stayed in a condo 1km from the hotel area. Quiet and rustic. Pool is damaged and not so clean. Lots of mosquitos and cats.
The driving in and around is very rocky and slow. Drive to resort from North — road is bad, but better.
Dinner in the hotel part is fun, but food is inconsistent.

Our stay at La Casella was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were scattered along the road into the beautiful property, with their high ceilings & exposed rafters you can really feel the old worldly charm of the beautifully renovated buildings. The walk along the road down to the main building & family home was simply breathtaking, with views of the stunning Italian high country that stretched across the valley as far as the eye could see. Virginia was a genuinely warm & loving host & her beautiful family went above & beyond to ensure that we were all well looked after, from early morning pickups & late night drop offs, hot coffee, gorgeous breakfast spreads each morning & a divine plant based 3 course lunch & dinner each day we could not have possibly wanted for more.

Recently stayed at La Casella for a retreat I went on. The staff here were absolutely incredible, really friendly and nothing was too much. My accommodation was very clean and spacious with a good hot working shower. I really enjoyed the walk down the lanes for breakfast in the mornings so I could take in all the nature surrounding me.
The food was really tasty, authentic, Italian cooking and I loved the atmosphere at meal times.
I am hoping to plan another trip back here so I can engage in more of the activities this place has to offer.

Absolutely loved this experience. The plant based menu was amazing. The warmth and caring from the family welcomed us in to their world. Tito the dog, the cats and the bellowing cow were a highlight. The beautiful old buildings that we stayed in were very comfortable and the walk down to breakfast was a daily highlight. There was a beautiful calm about this area that allows complete quiet and relaxation.

If you want of the beaten track, this is the spot! Be prepared for a 15 min gravel off-road driving experience (I did it in an MG! ). The family is the true highlight here. Breakfast is continental with plenty of options. The pool is huge! I stayed in the rooms next to the main house but there are other houses on the large estate that can take groups. Room was was very comfortable and quiet. Small shower but that is the Italian way. They're is a yoga studio open to use in the same building. The large family dining table every night was the highlight for me, chatting with mainly Italian locals who have been visiting LaCasella for years, staff, and local friends all chatting over a 3 course dinner.

My wife and I stayed at La Casella on our honeymoon and had an excellent time! The surrounding area was very beautiful with plenty of things to do within an hour drive. The food was excellent and dinner was served at one big table with all the other guests which made it feel like you were eating with one big family. There is plenty to do at the resort itself as well.
Many if the reviews make the gravel road seem impassable. We didn’t experience any difficulty on the road and we were driving a Volkswagen T-ROC. A sedan may have some trouble but any SUV/hatchback vehicle will be fine.
Some of the reviews also complain about spiders and bugs around the property and in the rooms. Our room was very clean and tidy when we arrived and we had no issues.

My vacation at La Casella will go down in my history for one of my great vacations. For people who love nature this place is great. Great family atmosphere, great views, great management, great food. You can really feel the peace of nature on this place. Units are perfect great views from units. I will be back La Casala.

This place is terrible in many ways. The most important thing is the terrible road that leads here. We came in a high-built SUV car,. But for the last 3 km I was constantly afraid that something would happen to the car. The road is rocky, stony, the max. Speed is 5-10 km/h, there is only one trail, if someone comes in your way there is nowhere to turn. After we arrived we felt like we were in a trap, you only want to leave here at the end of the tour. By the way, the owners drive a chassis SUV with off-road tires.
The services:
Well, there is half board. In my opinion, this is prepared by someone who is currently learning to cook, and the price is 370 EUR per person and per week. I am attaching the menu for the first day's dinner, although it is in Italian, but it can be translated. It was edible, but my wife got an upset stomach from the bitter tasting pickled beetroot leaves that were the starter. This half board is far from restaurant quality, only the price is. Breakfast is the typical Italian breakfast, just some sweet pastry, muesli and coffee. The coffee is good though. The second day we had fried ribs and some fried sausages for dinner as a main course. The ribs were not skinned and the sausages had no taste. Starter was salted ham and melon, which was of course good. Dessert was chocolate cream made from powder.
Then there is a club card 30 EUR per person and per week.

La casella has become my second home. The staff is so welcoming, I feel like I am leaving family behind when I go back to USA. It's a warm and magical place. Breakfast, coffee, lunches and dinners never disappoint. Everything is freshly made by Chef Edmondo with local and quality ingredients. The drivers who took us on excursions to Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio where knowledgeable of the areas every moment felt meaningful and personal. The cooking lessons were so exciting, making pasta from scratch then eating what we made. The road from Fabro has been greatly improved. If you want a phenomenal warm travel experience that will touch your heart and leave you with lasting memories, visit La Casella and the wonderful people who take care of you like you are family. This is our third time back at La Casella. Our family loves it here. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the journey. Not your typical Italian vacation at some high rise hotel, you're nestled in the hills on an equestrian type ranch. The lodging is quintessential country Italian stonework. Sleeping is wonderful in the very comfortable rooms. The staff here are very pleasant and accommodating. The full breakfast every day and four course dinners are delicious.
La Casella is located close to (within an hour, hour and a half) cities like Orvieto, Bagnoregio, Assisi, Sienna, Montepulciano, Perugia and Florence.

All the staff were very kind, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Enjoying this kind of relaxation away from the busy city life was truly healing. I’d love to come back if I get the chance. 😁🤙👍🫰

I came to celebrate my 63rd birthday, after arriving l was informed that the sauna, which was a "deal breaker "when I booked through RCI:was closed and that it was too expensive for the resort to turn on after paying 100 euros for electricity for a week and there would be no horseback riding as well. I also wasn't informed that a rental car SHOULD BE RENTED. IT SUPISINGLY COSTED 40 EUROS ONE WAY FROM THE the 20 minute train station by taxi, Sandra and 40 euro to go to the market. No cell phone service and no television. Thank God for Grace, mercy, wine and my books.

We had a wonderful experience at La Casella! This is a family run, gorgeous property. The food is authentic and delicious (we would definitely recommend the half board). We were lucky enough to be there over the holidays which was a great experience and we were treated like family. They have great recommendations of what to see locally (Assisi is a must) and we enjoyed the cooking class and tour of Tuscany. Highly recommended! Yes, the road to the property is rough…but it’s worth the bumpy ride!

My husband and I enjoyed six days lodging at this resort in October. We loved the people, the food and the ambience of the property. Very comfortable bed, beautiful views from the room. Within walking distance down a hill to the main lodge for meals. The only downside was we were expecting to be able to do laundry but the washer was out of order. There was a small charge for extra towels, and it was a 25 minute into Fabro to do laundry. When we arrived, it was closed so we took the laundry with us to Assisi and did it there. Slight inconvenience that would have been nice to have known about in advance. It's very quiet and horsebacking riding is available. The onsite bar was also nice for a quick coffee or apertif!

I went to La Casella as part of an international retreat. The family and team looked after all our needs. They even went the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience possible. Went there as strangers and left there and forever friends. Thank you everyone for your generosity, hospitality and professionalism.

I stayed at La Casella as part of a group stay recently. We were welcomed by Virginia and her family like extended family. We were taken good care of and nothing was too much trouble. The location was ideal, set in rural countryside, beautiful lush and clean country air. The road is rough but that's part of the authentisity of the area. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the rooms were serviced daily. The meals were delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented.
If you're looking for a unique countryside getaway I recommend to stay at La Casella.

La Casella is set in a beautiful valley in Umbria, an absolute idyllic place to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. Run by the most beautiful family who work together to make your stay an unforgettable experience. Rooms are basic, spacious and widely spaced on the property so you can have your own piece of tranquil heaven. Food was just amazing, we had full board plant based and everything was delicious. We also went horse riding which was just superb. Cannot recommend La Casella highly enough 10/10 in my opinion.
