Rio Verde camping villaggio

Liked: It is a very beautyfull campingplace with a lot of shadow from the trees, a nice restaurant and swimmingpool and a gentle staff. We loved to be there and we will come back once.

A jewel of a campsite, this place has it all. Run by two charming sisters who are so helpful and kind: nothing is too much trouble. The park is a family country house and estate and so no regimented pitches, just space and beauty. Wonderful shady trees, deep nature and a wonderful swimming pool. Excellently situated for hiking, walks, cycling and exploring generally. There is even a stables annexed to the site for those who enjoy riding. The restaurant has an interesting menu and is recommended. The service block is new and scrupulously clean. For total relaxation and great hospitality whether you are campers or prefer a bungalow or even the agriturismo accommodation in a charming room with en suite services in a wing of the family home. This makes it ideal for a family party perhaps of different generations with varying requirements. We fell in love with Rio Verde at first sight and will certainly return.

An absolut lovely place for camping — quiet, nice owners, great staff, wonderful nature!

Liked: Beautiful natural setting. Quiet. Host was very pleasant.
Disliked: We had difficulty getting a pitch long enough for our 9 meter rig. Also, the road up to the campsite had some rough and narrow spots which were hard for us to manoeuver.
Would recommend for a smaller motorhome or camper van.

This is the most pleasurable review we have made. If heaven could come to earth it would be at Camping Rio Verde! We came here to stay 3 nights but after 1 night we decided to stay 6, it was so good. On arrival we were greeted by the people we now know are part of the family of owners. Immediately made us very welcome. They seemed to go out of their way to remember and use our first name, a nice touch. The pitches will please everyone there are some slightly sloping if you want some elevation, other dead flat. There are some with dense shade from the incredibly tall pine trees and others with no shade. The great thing is the owners give you advice on where to pitch but the decision is entirely yours! Sanitary facilities are just 100 meters from the centre of the main camping but when you get there you are rewarded with one of the most modern and clean facilities, we have encountered and as a bonus take 3 steps more and you can view over the fence the ponies in their paddocks. Yes, the site is attached to what looks like a sizeable farm. There is a very reasonable priced Restuarant/Pizzeria and bar with a lovely terrace overlooking the swimming pool. It is no wonder it is good as two of the owners run it, one producing wonderful dishes (My wife said you should try the chicken which she found delicious) with produce which, as much as possible, comes from their own land. The other lady looks after you at the table with every attention including her good English (Francesca).

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, fresh bread daily. Family run site with plenty of activities within the local area.
All modern amenities and nice and clean. My only suggestion to improve the showers it to provide a squeezy mop to dry floor when finished.
There is a pool bar and restaurant if required I just like to site in a quiet environment and people watch.
Plenty of room for kids to play safely on the grass or in the play area.
