Excellent quality with products at km 0. Strong dish tortelli with ricotta cheese of the place sheep, fine fine pulled pasta (they melt in the mouth) delicious with meat sauce or wild boar but also with butter to appreciate 100% the filling. Stuffed rabbit and grassed (depending on the season). Meat of excellent quality. Dish recommended when it is the season : mushrooms fruits and first to mushrooms (a, km0 obviously found by Aldo). Homemade cakes. The panoramic view in summer is very recommended but also the splendid fireplace that is the master and warms in the winter afternoons.

Our direct experience has been fabulous! We stayed 2 days at half board, finding good owners, great property, great food and great prices. Aldo was very friendly and extremely helpful giving us directions on the trails and has even accompanied for a distance by letting us get to know people and stories of the places. The sister and other family members who manage The forest are wonderful people and very brave in the kitchen; we were given the recipes of the mattugi (first based on black cabbage), and of cakes of chocolate. As long as the people and places, so the world can stay quiet, and a bit of hope that he can improve still exists. Thanks.

We stayed in the month of June and we had a great time enjoying the mountains, the genuine is made of people who love where they live so as to protect it as you do with the precious things. Warm welcome but at the same time discreet, excellent cuisine and the sheets soft and fragrant that I have ever found in a hotel. It is true that the simple things are the most beautiful ones! Will be back for sure.

I have never done reviews, but The forest deserves. Beautiful place and a kitchen that is handed down from one generation to the next, creating a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. I go there for a life time and I was never disappointed.

I state that I attend only in the low season and it is fantastic if one seeks peace and silence.
