We have stayed here for a 2 night stay and must say it is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in! Decorated in a gorgeous tasteful Italian style, very clean and welcoming! The owners are so friendly and helpful too which makes the stay such a great experience. Perfect location! Can't wait to come again!

Francesco & Giovanna are wonderful hosts, offering guests a sincere welcome to their home and you genuinely feel that you are in a family home in the best possible sense of that phrase. The room I had was spacious and immaculately maintained. I was offered a generous home prepared breakfast each day and found Francesco & Giovanna very willing to chat and make recommendations about what to see and do. Follow their recommendations, especially those about eating out (excellent suggestions! ). This is amongst the best stays I have ever enjoyed anywhere and I intend returning and recommending this to friends. The location is ideal for access to the town and the train station. ”

Beautiful property, welcoming and helpful hosts and an incredible location make this B&B quite exceptional. I would happily stay there again. We love lucca, so much to see and do, and al Porto di lucca is a great place to call home while you are there.

I have been a guest in many B&B 's but untill now, this is the best. We stayed in one of the four ambianced guestrooms which are on the first floor. While there was a heatwave at the time of our stay we were so glad with a goodworking, very silent airco. While I sometimes suffer from backpain, I was glad the bed was very comfortable. Not too soft, not too hard. The accomodation is very clean.
The nice thing of this B&B is, you can sit in the garden if you like. Its a beautifull large garden.
The breakfast, did I allready mentioned the breakfast? No? Maybe because I was speachless. You feel like a prince or princess. So many delicious things to eat.
The hosts of this B&B are very sweet people. They are interrested in your journey and they like to give you advice.

Booked this spot last minute on a Tuesday night — I think it was nearly 10pm and Francesco welcomed Rose and I warmly. Even offered to make her a sandwich when we arrived after 10:30. The home is beautiful, warm, welcoming, perfect. Breakfast was WOW. Giovanna was the loveliest of hostesses — limited English but fluently exuded the universal language of warmth and kindness — so it was not an issue for these two non-Italian speaking gals. The home is perfectly situated just outside the beautiful walls of Lucca — a short walk to one of the loveliest places we visited. We stayed two nights, though we did not have much time in the city itself as we arrived late after a full day in Florence (and quick trip to Pisa), then spent the full next day in Cinque Terra. La Spezia, where we parked to hop on the Cinque Terra train (bounces to and from each of the 5 towns), was about an hour away — easy drive. Good base for one day in Cinque Terra if you're not staying the night there. The room was beautifully, perfectly appointed. We were in the Marina suite with a living room area of its own — I think the other rooms might be a bit smaller but everyone we met there fell in love with the place. Big, big thumbs up.

My wife and I spent a week at Al Porto di Lucca and had a wonderful time. Very comfortable room (suite), top service and an outstanding breakfast (which was much more than we could eat). Al Porto di Lucca is a perfect location if you want to visit beautiful Lucca, being only a few steps away from the centre and also with the train station a few minutes away. It was a good base for seeing the Toscana region. We want to come back to explore more of it.
