Upon arrival we were given a key and left on our own for the duration of our stay. No receptionist, no concierge, no instruction, no assistance! This I have come to learn, is
a feature that the hotel prides themselves on. I did not find it helpful. There were several problems right out the gate when it came to basic necessities. I had to call the caretaker more than once for issues. The room was very very dark not to mention the light bulb was out in one of the bathroom lights making it very hard to function. There was no remote for the TV, the refrigerator froze anything you put in it, the curtains would not open and clothes causing it to fall, the Nescafe leaked and kept eating the pods before the cup would brew. All of these things were remedied once I called but that's quite a list. The caretaker was very nice about it and let me know where to get extra towels and coffee so that was nice. I do have to say that the bed was extremely comfortable. We had the best sleep here while in Italy.
