Review of Le Fate Holiday Homes 4*

Newly renovated and lovely apartments just steps from the Duomo, and minutes from everything! The bells in the morning are so beautiful to listen to. Reliable elevator to all floors. We were in the Morgana and it was spacious, super clean, modern, and had a lovely view of the Bell Tower of the Duomo. The bath was very large and the shower was wonderful. You have a washing machine, with laundry pods, in the bath with a drying rack, which was most handy. While we were comfortable, the mattress had a strange quality to it. Hard to move around on and was on a very low platform. We would have preferred a quality, standard innerspring mattress set. We are in our 60´s, so for younger people it might be excellent. The kitchen was well designed and had everything you would need to prepare any meal, but you might check with Niccoló for some kitchen cleaning products for the dishwasher and such. The gourmet food store below has high quality deli items and a grand selection of many other foods and candies, plus sundries. You could almost do your souvenir shopping here, plus you get a 10% discount when staying in the La Fate Apartments above. But, the entire area is prime for shopping and restaurants, and is very safe. Niccoló Querci is a charming owner and host. We had to leave very early the last morning, unexpectedly, to catch a very early train to Milan, so I was unable to see him upon departure. But, I did try to call him the night before, then just sent him an email. Make sure you have a phone number for a Florence taxi company, as they don´t just show up and the street very early on a Sunday morning. I scored a number and they were there in a few minutes. We want to stay here again next April for my birthday and would like more details on a longer term stay, perhaps a month. Yes, it is that nice!
