Podere Sole

We enjoyed a perfect stay in Tuscany at the Podere Sole. The agriturismo is located in the beautiful countryside, close to the charming town of Trequanda and a short journey away from many other great towns such as Montepulciano and Pienza. We felt welcome from the moment we entered the Podere, and Cecilia, Sabrina and Joe gave us fantastic recommendations for things to do in the local area, even arranging wine tasting with a local wine producer for us. Their recommendation for visiting the hidden thermal baths of San Filippo in a nearby forest was simply magical.
When not exploring the nearby towns, we relaxed on the farm which provided plenty of beautiful paths and olive groves for walking. Evenings were spent enjoying a bottle of Tuscan wine while watching the stars.
The breakfasts were simply amazing and we would highly recommend including breakfast in your stay. Everything was made with fresh local produce and it kept us full on our days of sightseeing until dinner, where we often went to one of the restaurants that our hosts would recommend. As vegans we really appreciated these recommendations!

We had a great stay at Podere Sole, highly recommend.
Rooms are simple but clean and neat, and have everything you might need (inc Wi-Fi). Our room was (not yet! ) air-conditioned but a fan was provided. Located on 200 acres of grape — and farmland it truly is a beautiful farm estate where you can walk around and enjoy the beautiful views. They have a hammock to view sunsets and a terrace with amazing view.
The (vegan) owners are very helpful, friendly, and communicate well. All staff speak perfect English making communication easy. Breakfast consists of delicious fresh homemade, all vegan goods (ranging from fresh pannacotta, bread to mutliple spreads and fruits) and is served on the terrace.
The podere is located next to Trequanda which also has a great all vegan restaurant! The podere is located near (45 min drive) Siena and Arrezo two big towns with enough to do and see.
All in all, highly recommend staying at Podere Sole.
Note: They are quite a new place and planning on expanding their farm with a pool and air-conditioning so check their website for the current facilities.

We had the pleasure of being among the first guests to stay at Podere Sole in May 2024, along with three other adult family members. It was a fabulous visit. Upon our arrival, Sabrina showed us to our rooms and made us comfortable. We then enjoyed delicious olives, grown on the property, while sipping wine and sitting on the patio overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
The guest rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were wonderful, including Sabrina’s home baked breads, jams and sweets. The excellent cappuccinos were a real treat!
Cecelia, Sabrina and Joe are wonderful hosts who made our stay the highlight of our trip to Italy and Greece. Tuscany is beautiful with more places to see and explore than we could possibly fit into one visit. Cecelia helped us get the most of our time by arranging an Italian cooking class at a nearby restaurant and cooking school, Locanda Demetra. We prepared and dined on several lovely pasta dishes and tiramisu. Cecelia also arranged for a driver to take us to the places we wanted to visit.
After this wonderful experience, we plan to go back to Podere Sole for a much longer stay. We highly recommend Podere Sole to anyone who wants to experience a beautiful and authentic Tuscan vacation hosted by some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
