Fabulous place with a view of the sea and the islands to leave you speechless, from here you can admire spectacular sunsets while enjoying an excellent aperitif. The staff is of a unique kindness, it was a beautiful holiday.

If you want to dine or have lunch I recommend going to the wonderful Caletta restaurant located under L hotel. Very good Henry and Clare. You eat very well even at dinner with very fresh produce.

An oasis after a long windy road! Worth every penny! It’s the last 2 nights of our 14 day Italian drive and we’ve had some winners and some losers but this is the cherry on top! Gracious, clean, comfortable. Views are gorgeous, the staff are fantastic!

Absolutely beautiful. Great room and wonderful service. The ocean swim in late September was worth walking down there and renting a couple of chairs. We loved it.

No public transport connection! Shuttle/taxi to the nearest place (Porto Santo di Stefano) approx. 15min (per tour 30€)

I tried the evening aperitif in this hotel with great views of the entire Tuscan archipelago. The quality of the drinks, served in an elegant English lawn dehors from which you can witness a spectacular sunset, leaves quite something to be desired and certainly does not live up to the hotel's standing and the prices charged. Ditto for the accompaniment, very minimal. In any case the view alone deserves a stop.

We wanted to stop for lunch but arrived at 11am. 30, so we had an aperitif with a beautiful view! (A star just for the view). We waited 30 minutes to get us to take the order. We were the only ones present. 3 glasses of prosecco and 2 juices. They brought us some nibbles: peanuts, chips and gherkins. 40 th. We didn't finish the aperitif because a swarm of bees after a few minutes started eating the nibbles. Obviously we didn't stop for lunch.

Great view and polite staff, dinner was good, breakfast is horrible. The pool is way too small. Sleeping was difficult due to a lot of noise.

Beautiful property, strategic location. From the top of the Argentinian mountain you can enjoy a magnificent panorama: the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. Well defined is the island of Giglio.
The lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea is really impressive and the chef is really great, especially with the sweets!

Cozy. Simple. Excellent breakfast & cocktails at sunset. Rooms are really basic: 6 star views of the sea: beach club is a simple walk down the hill.

This hotel is beautiful and every time we come back, we are always fascinated… the location, the view of the sea and of the islands, the garden, the pool, the drink in front of the sun falls into the sea and dinner on the terrace with a view of the sea make the vacation is always unforgettable … the staff is very friendly and the director Stefania is very attentive and really takes care of customers personally …

We stopped by chance for an aperitif at this gorgeous place and fell in love with it right away… we immediately booked a room for two days in this magnificent place… we had a great time. Location High quality food, kindness and precision from the staff. The infinity pool and the sunset are definitely the winning weapon of this hotel! The particular beach since organized on the cliff… Impracticable with a small toddler but will be back when it is bigger! Only flaw a German customer at 5.30 o'clock in the morning he started arguing over the phone… An interminable conversation!

Thanks to the new direction of l'Hotel is much improved. A pearl of beauty on the sea in one of the most beautiful places. Without a doubt Calapiccola is a little' the pearl of the'Argentario. Guests have l'access to the sea. The beach is rocky, dogs are Not allowed. L'hotel is beautiful and has a nice restaurant. Only down side a little' the negative is that in high season the beach is a little' crammed, and the umbrellas are placed near. For the rest, however, a service always at the top. Especially with a dell'hotel, where I went, having a house to Calapiccola, but I sent some friends who have noticed a good progress with the new management.

We were at lunch, a poor menu an wait for an hour… but the delicious food and a fabulous staff who knew how to manage the wait with some fabulous anchovies and a very welcome free coffee!

Beautiful setting… but rooms to modernize/refresh. There being no cover of any operator I was expecting at least a fast internet connection… instead it didn't work even browsing on Google! For the prices they make I would have expected more care of the details.

Fantastic location with a laid back atmosphere. Nice pool and bar with a killer view and a good restaurant. Our room had a beautiful view of the Torre Capo D'uomo. We wondered what it looked like up close and decided to hike to he top. Fantastic hike and view. There's an 800 meter walk down the hill from the hotel to the beach. Since it was October and after the season ended, the normally exclusive beach clubs were closed and the beach was open to all. We did exercises on the terraces on the hill, followed by a beautiful swim in the still-warm water. The staff is super friendly and the drinks and food were reasonably priced.

I can't express enough my gratitude to the staff at this hotel. We were tired, dirty, smelly and lost, and they took us in and treated us like royalty. I thank God that we came across this hotel when we did, and I miss it already. It is worth every penny. If you go in June, a mosquito net for the window might be a good idea.

Very good Hotel, maybe below expectations, just arrived I had to poach from the balcony a glass full of butts of cigarettes smoked by the previous occupant. In the restaurant the waiter explains how the half-lowering his voice, I didn't have to be ashamed, in better room the TV is wall mounted at an angle of 45° to the bed and sitting area which is why you can't see it from the bed from the living room, I asked for the best room and I was given the room above the porch where breakfast was waking every morning sincerely, for that price I would have deserved better treatment.

Location, view and setting are magnificent. The hotel is a 4 star so do not expect anything above that. I stayed in a standard room sea side which was a bit dated and looking like it would need some more attention to details. Services is fine. Personnel is very professional and nice in front of the hosts. Food is excessively expensive considered the local standards for the same level probably due to the fact the closest restaurant or bar is a 20 minutes drive and hosts would rather pay more than moving. Hotel is good but not excellent. Location, setting and views are breathtaking.

Beautiful, secluded and romantic. My husband and I spent a few weeks touring through Tuscany and stopping at country farmhouses (their agriturismo) and in the cities, boutique type hotels — and we loved this place and would like to return. After driving through the crowded and noisy coastal towns we were thrilled to escape to this secluded, lovely hotel. The grounds are stunning and the hotel is obviously old, but well maintained and clean. The manager welcomed us warmly and kindly and did not mind our stilted Italian — which was a nice change from some of the acrid receptions we had received in the farm country as they seemed taken aback by my being of Asian descent. The Ocean is pretty wild there — but seemed very similar to some Northern CA coast with rocky shoreline and the views are breathtaking. I did not smell smoke inside, and I am very sensitive to smoking! But as in all of Italy, most of the people do smoke so it is tricky avoiding them. Our meals were fine — not the finest — but not the horror story experienced by the other reviewer either. But there are so many restaurants down in the towns that was not really an issue.

Four stars definitely for the view and location, breathtaking beautiful. However, the rest was below satisfactory levels: the rooms were not clean and rather battered. The first room we were offered smelled like an ashtray as the staff smoking room was next door and the bathroom vent blew the smoke inside the room — not ideal with a baby and a 7 month pregnant wife. The food was bad even for English standards: the scampi on the first evening were undercooked and slobbery, the room service forgot the cutlery next day and on the third day the lobster salad was half scampi leftovers from the weekend (wedding ceremony), so was the mozzarella tart my wife had as a starter and I had to send the pasta back as it was not even al dente but simply uncooked. When the waiter brought it back it was out of the microwave and tasted horrible. The service, especially the maitre was unfriendly and arrogant (I had an open bottle of wine at the bar that I asked for, the waiter brought it, put it on the table and it was open and warm and I had to ask for ice bucket). For the last three evenings we decided to go to the lovely (and delicious) trattoria on the bay close to the hotel for supper instead, which was lovely. Also the receptionist was arrogant and useless. For a four star hotel (eur 365/night) the service was simply a cheek.
