A truly unique place (extraordinary landscape) but the property remained in the 80s: it needs a refreshment. Rooms spacious (jun suites) and clean but always 80s. Restaurant I would say from three star max for what is served although very good service. Very high prices difficult to justify: maybe the island of Elba is so.

Good hotel in gorgeous location. Rooms spacious many with sea views. Good and well assorted breakfast buffet. On average the dinner that you book the previous evening choosing between some proposals both first and second. The gala dinner with menu chosen by the maitre is excellent. Free private parking. Private beach, included in the price, can be reached both on foot (down about 150 steps) and with the hotel gondola. From the beach you reach by taxi boat the in front of Porto Azzurro.

Too expensive for what is offered. 5 star prices for 3 star hotel. Will not come bacj.

We stayed for 10 days and overall I have to say that I liked the hotel. The views from pool and rooms are stunning — you get on side the bay with small village called Porto Azzuro and on other side the sea which often is full with sailing boats. Truly lots of postcard views. Location is up on the top of the hill so you have to have a car to get around which is generally needed for Elba anyway. Parking is very close and free of charge (but renting a car in Elba is expensive! ). The hotel has two nice pools — one for kids and the other for adults. We were at the beginning of the season and the kids stuff advertised wasn’t working (fountains, slides etc) but we didn’t ask for them to be turned on either. It just felt a bit deserted, nobody even bothered to clean leaves off from sun beds The service and food at the main restaurant was amazing. It also has amazing views to both Porto Azzuro and sea plus the staff can up the glass sliding doors of you ask. If you want a good meal out, go for that set menu — it’s €35 per person but it’s worth it. If on budget, opt for salad buffet and there is also amazing dessert/cake buffet for only €6. The hotel doesn’t have double beds — they just move two large twin beds together and put a large bedsheet on (even without a king size mattress topper). They also have a private beach but I couldn’t get there comfortably as I have a small baby.

Although the property is dated, it is in a lovely location overlooking Porto Azzurro. Good service with polite and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and wide choice of courses for dinner. Decent wine list. Great free tennis court for customers, as well as canoes in the private beach below the restaurant, although you must be at least 16 years old to use them.

If you want to spend a holiday at Elba in an exclusive environment and equipped with every comfort in this hotel you will find all this and more. The spacious rooms with great décor and clean with almost manic care offer divine comfort and stunning views. The competent and highly trained staff is always able to pamper the customer in a very soft way. The restaurant offers a menu of the highest quality and wines at the top of the menu. The price compared to the service is great. If you think about a holiday at Elba this is the place for you. I highly recommend it.

Hotel with wonderful view and very helpful staff. I don't add anything else on the grass that is a wonder of nature!

Structure a little dated outside but the rooms have been renovated and offer every comfort (minibar, Sky TV), large balconies to enjoy the fantastic view. Swimming pool geared in an ocinal way: You can enjoy the sun until evening. Well organized common areas. Great staff availability in meeting customer needs (we had for more evenings guests at dinner). On the occasion of the annual Capiliveri Legend Cup, possibility of having the bike deposit and sports menus specially prepared. Private beach reachable by lift or alternatively, the nearby beach of Naregno. Good value for money.

Really a great hotel: Pros Rooms view clean gulf with Wi-Fi and spacious bathroom, nice balcony. Great restaurant Nice well served pools. Faults the beach down is not the best you have to go down a bit to reach it. Great location anyway.

Fantastic location: On top of the promontory of Naregno with a fantastic view over Porto Azzurro. Really good restaurant with local and fresh specialties every day. It offers a private beach with bar and restaurant which can be accessed by means of a convenient lift. Nice and friendly staff, definitely a great holiday!

Wonderful location overlooking the bay to Porto Azzurro. Large pool, Lounges Available. Small Hotel was located below Hotel. Food good but no 5 stars. Dining Room with great views. Lounge roof terrace with magnificent Views. Very friendly staff.

Lovely hotel by the sea. We had a really nice room with a sea view. The service was excellent and everyone was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Although the service was certainly good and the food was excellent, the hotel was dated and pricy. The mosquitos are really bad and you can't sleep with the window open as there are no mosquito covers, so you can either get stung all night or be extremely hot. I was thoroughly disappointed that supposedly 5-star hotel hasn't rectified this basic resolvable problem. When put to the staff they dodged addressing it. The view from the hotel is spectacular which is likely the major draw to this place, but the view doesn't make the hotel, and as such this review can't take the view into account as it existed before the hotel did. It was an ok experience, especially the food, but I likely won't be staying here again.

The view is amazing and great access to the beach. Front desk staff and house keeping staff are nice. However, the self important extremely unfriendly witch-in-charge at the main restaurant is a huge put off. Enough for us to not want to return. Recommend a change of staff or manner training for the individual. Thanks.

Very big and clean. Friendly staff, clean room and good food. I am here for a social event and if they had to repeat it, I will gladly.

Large clean rooms very large parking (especially to Elba) courteous and discreet. And then for mtb enthusiasts, is located 2 km from the most beautiful paradise: pedaling the bike park of capoliveri.

The hotel enjoys one of the best locations in the whole of the island of Elba, with some room that look directly out of Porto Azzurro. Pity that the look of the hotel was a little to years 70-80 and the cost is slightly elevated. Still a nice experience to stay.

Courteous staff and great place!

Just returned from a dream vacation spent at the Grand Hotel elba International. Even to want to criticize something, nothing found. Everything perfect, spacious and so was the bathroom, each Department's staff very helpful and friendly staff, not to mention the food, very good with a wide choice of buffet and prepared with skill. The cakes then … It is the fourth time we travel and holiday on Elba 4 star hotels, but this is the ultimate for location and we want to speak of the beach in the elevator? and the two swimming pools with sea water? Spectacular! … we were sad so much back home, but will be back soon!

My wife and I stayed in a hotel in late June for a week with half board, we were sad so leave your resort and the hotel. After touring the island, we haven't seen a nicer place. The hotel is in a great location, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, very friendly staff, good food, expands choice on buffet, though mussels, clams, prawns were not hot, great breakfast, fantastic cakes and pies, shame about the (our) table, which were more in the morning to have breakfast, great location.

Total class. Clean, great staff very friendly and super food.
