The main building was used as a shelter by travellers crossing the valley, from the Mendola Pass to the Tonale Pass. Agritur Maso and its working farm are managed by the Calliari family since the 17th century.
Agritur Maso San Bartolomeo is a restored farmhouse next to Romeno's Church of Saints Thomas and Bartholomew, which dates back to the 11th century. The property is set in the countryside, with views of the Alta Val di Non valley and the Brenta Dolomites. Parking and ski deposit are free.
Breakfast is served daily and includes homemade cakes, products of the farm, and fresh milk. You can relax in the spacious lounges with handmade stoves.
All rooms are spacious and feature wood floors, and local lime plaster. Each comes with private bathroom, free wired internet, and a satellite TV.
The centre of the village is 800 metres away, and the Monte Nock, Monte Ruen, and Altopiano della Predaia ski lifts are within a 15 km radius. You can drive to both Trento and Bolzano in about 45 minutes.
The farm is an ancient structure renovated with respect to a stone's throw from the center of Romanian, immersed in apple orchards. The view of the valley is breathtaking and the farm is an excellent point to reach in a few minutes by car the whole Val di non and its paths, we were there to do trekking. Clean and comfortable spacious rooms furnished in alpine style. Clean and large bathrooms. Unforgettable breakfast varied abundant both on sweet and salty. But the strong point is the courtesy professionalism passion of the family that manages it. Extraordinary people, workers of yesteryear. Their apples are great. All excellent. We will definitely return and advise everyone to go there. Excellent value for money.
