Hotel by itself can be better… nothing fancy… but I have to admit the room, sheets and towels are crisp clean… bathroom has mold in the vent system but again over all floors and tub and toilet are clean… I give 4* because of location, it’s literally 15 min walk from central train station, 5 min walk from Duomo and 3 min walk from metro, great breakfast, excellent price for this location and very friendly staff… all speak good English… even espresso is included in breakfast… would highly recommend for location, budget and breakfast! Thank you. Please ask to fix small things… like eliminate mold and screw the toilet to the floor… room 39… I almost fall down once…

Very convenient location. Easy access to Metro, bus to Linate, and Duomo. Rooms are small and dated. Looked like mold growing on one of the walls. The bed felt like it was sloped to one side. Controller for air conditioning was damaged, so I couldn't tell what it was set to. Staff was helpful, breakfast was fine.

The hotel is great for the location (a 2 steps from the cathedral) but being in the centre a bit noisy.
The cleanliness leaves something to be desired. The first night we turned on the air conditioning and came out pieces of an old filter, reported the problem to the receptions we were given another room.
Hotel recommended for short periods.

Nice hotel in short walking distance to Piazza Del Duomo. Although the rooms are modest, the location and service were great. Jimmy did an awesome job!

Excellent location in the heart of the city and next to the Duomo Square. At the door, stop the tram and metro in that square. Very clean, spacious bathroom and very comfortable beds. Breakfast very good during my stay and the staff has been very friendly. A hotel that has no luxuries is very good.

Great location! Helpful staff! Big plus there is an elevator (not always available in European hotels). The beds were extremely comfortable! Breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. The rooms are desperately in need of updating. For as close as this hotel is to the Duomo it is a great choice for a single traveler.

I loved the hotel. I didn't expect luxuries so I went out super compliant. Spacious rooms. The huge bathroom. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was just right. What is unpayable is Q are half a block from the Duomo. The tram stop at the door and the envelope in the Duomo. Use public transportation for everything. Restaurant nearby. The attention of ten! Super recommend. It's not fancy. It's very nice.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Accessible to everything and everywhere. The service is excellent. They are very helpful and very friendly, especially Jimmy. Rooms are outdated but have everything you need and adds to the European charm. Breakfast is great and they make a great coffee. I would recommend to them hot drink making facilities and ironing board in rooms. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Worst Hotel. Very cold, sloppy and expensive hotel. The reservation of the hotel was different. I protested but nothing changed. The contract is different. Contact the embassy for help. The embassy will help you deal with it later in the evening. It is like a room made in a warehouse. It's really different from the picture. We booked a twin room with a double bed, a fridge and a TV room about 3 months ago. However, there is no room today. Even though I made a reservation 3 months ago … Avoid calls to embassy staff. Then he says that he does not know. Why do I get a reservation? This attitude seems to be a common situation. I do not want to go through this again as I travel. I think booking is meaningless unless you keep your promise. I was happy in Venezia but I am not happy in Milan.

I can’t give review. Because they didn’t give ROOM. I have reservation before 3 month ago, twin room. But real is soooooooooo extreamly terrible. When I go room first, I think that is STORAGE. There is NO room number. Just only STICKER. Bed is temporary bed using sofa. And NO TV, NO Refrigerator, window can’t block cold air. Room have old smell Hotel said “Room is full. I can’t give you another room” But how can room is full? I booked before 3 month ago! I warning you, if you want to have good memory in Milano, DO NOT COME HERE. If you ignore this text, You might be like us.

Very small single room only one thing good is its next to dumo otherwise its not 20EUR worth.

Perfect location and good room for its price, the only problem is that there is only one power socket.

Terrible Hotel. It was a very Dirty and very helpful. Totally uncomfortable and ugly place.
I don't know how to like other people. It's dirty, the internet is not working, very uncomfortable beds, badly kept, shower unwatchable, price too high, cold in winter and a staff absent if not downright rude. The basis of a good hotel is to create a comfortable environment, rather remove the TV that are so small and of low quality, but at least repaint the walls and fix the crusts that hang from the ceiling or maybe replace the shower full of mold and rust.

A nice little hotel, a minute away from the beautiful Duomo. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. In this price range completely in order and recommendable.

Very convenient hotel for the location and great price is the 2 time I go and unfortunately I was disappointed with the housekeeping in the room they were quite dirty
But for kindness and availability of the hotel there is nothing to say
I will definitely come back for the convenience of the location.

Three stars, also because it's a three-star hotel. In fact room, breakfast bar point I can't give more. However I give 5 stars x the kindness and courtesy of all the staff who made sure to make me and make us (I was with 7 friends) look great. With all the hotels visited it is the first time I see such kindness and competence in the work. Thank you, next.

The location perfect, also the workers was very kind and friendly, but the room very small.

Hotel was located in the perfect spot. Space was tiny but good enough. Breakfast was amazing and the ladies at the counter were super nice.

Friendly staff lovely clean hotel small but perfectly formed and fantastic location close to main centre, metro and trams. Breakfast was good with great coffee and a selection of pastries, fruit, meat etc. Aircon was in rooms and eating areas. We would recommend.

20 steps from the Duomo, recently renovated, friendly and polite staff. Helpful and friendly (the blonde receptionist), were accommodating with my mum who was reduced by an operation and needed to eat in the room. Large and bright bathroom, quiet room thanks to the insulating doors despite being overlooking via Mazzini. Great croissants and selection of good bio yogurt. Good!

The staff is very courteous. The property is not anything special however it has a location (200m from Piazza Duomo) extremely interesting.

Hotel Rio was an excellent choice for our Easter holiday in Milan for 3 days. We have been to Milan before so this time we only went there for a short city break, just to roam around and fill ourselves with geloatos and scrumptious Italian food. We didn't have high expectations from the hotel as being the Easter weekend, all the hotels were much more expensive, and we booked Hotel Rio as it was more reasonably priced and mainly because it was literally a 2 minutes walk from the Duomo di Milano, the heart of the touristy stuff. As I said earlier, the location was Excellent! We were surprised and happy because it was so close to the Duomo. We would leave around noon, walk around, go for shopping, eat at one of the restaurants in and around Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, come back for a nap, and leave again in the evening. Also, on one morning we left early (about 8:30am) to skip the queues for going to the top of the Duomo by lifts, and came back and relaxed for a bit before heading out again. Also, there is a tram stop right at the doorstep of the hotel which we used to go to a restaurant a bit outside the city centre, and once to go to the famous Santa Maria Delle Grazie Rooms: Rooms were very clean and tidy, and had Air-Conditioning. Initially we had an issue with the shower where it was leaking water everywhere; we reported it to the reception and it was fixed in next 15 minutes.

Excellent structure is courteous staff and fast in ' Esqudire requests.

Definitely great comfort in the city center but… and the good brioches.

The location was perfect close to the Dom and main square. The room was small and not very modern, design looks old. Too much expensive for what they offer.

Cozy, within reach of all budgets, breakfast plentiful, a stone's throw from the Duomo, great for those who do not have claims, friendly staff… only flaws the showers to be reviewed… however it is a fixed stop not to be missed:)

Hotel to forget given the price and the place …

Good hotel, shame about the paid Wi-Fi service sometimes choppy, but it certainly is a good choice for those who find themselves in the Duomo area and wants to spend less.

This hotel has a very good location. Term stop outside and 30 second walk to the Metro underground station. 30 second walk to the Cathedral, shopping centre and square.

Saved places doesn't work without @.

Beds are not terribly comfortable, no construction now, but the trolly runs right outside of the hotel, which kept me up for most of the night (even with 2 pillows covering my head). Staff was nice, accommodating; we checked in at 11:45 PM at night with no issues. Would not try to stay here again, but a good last resort.
