Visited the bar for a pre dinner drink as an outside visitor! The bar was empty as only two persons were sitting at the bar. Strangely I was told it was fully booked! I assume they didnt like us and they didnt want to offer us a table.
I guess after a prolonged period of closure due to Covid-19 the bar prefers to remain empty.
I guess the management of the hotel should change their strategy and be more welcoming as any Mandarin Oriental hotel should be.

Unfortunately in my visit today I did not find up to the hotel and restaurant certainly not because of the staff that was efficient and professional but there are really few to offer a service worthy of the price I paid for both the room and the restaurant! But the most shameful thing that breakfast offers you an A la carte dish and then you can take advantage of the buffet! My guest and I do not take a plate for breakfast and ask to cook 40 grams of carrots to the dog … the answer is ' I have to pay it separately! A shameful thing and a fall in style! The double room 820 euros and breakfast 48 euros per person! Mistakes in so many dishes at the bistellato restaurant two dishes sent entirely back. But we 5 diners understood post covid everything has changed… it ' a difficult time for the restaurant but with an account of this kind billing 40 gr of carrots to the dog is simply madness and a slap to the customer! We're not going back! And I do not recommend it!

Had the octopus with mash for starters, mash was incredibly smooth with the octopus cooked perfectly. Ravioli was the main with an aubergine filling. Flavours and pasta cooked perfectly however a little on the small size in terms of portion. Finally the tiramisu for dessert. Light, not too sweet not traditional but amazing. Overall very enjoyable and great service. Good atmosphere and did not feel uncomfotale in the setting.

Perfect for a cocktail in the hearth of Milan close to Montenapoleone, fashion distric, the Duomo and La Scala theater. Tasty finger food served during aperitivo time. Super staff. Price not cheap but great experience.

Al ristorante si mangia anche in una maniera incredibile. Siamo stati stamattina per organizzare un convegno e le sale ci sono state illustrate e mostrate con competenza. Non amo particolarmente l'arredamento anni 70, ma il Mandarin è da cinque stelle. Integrazione del 16.02.18: sono stato ieri sera ed ho mangiato al bar I tagliolini pomodoro e basilico. Decisamente ottimi e consigliabili.

To try absolutely… very intimate and cozy atmosphere… beautiful place with very beautiful and original marbles. Wonderful flowers both at the restaurant and the Bistro… great lunch… Both the risotto their specialties and spaghetti… and to finish exquisite their sweets…

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Milan. Modern style. Both the suite, and the junior are spacious and cared for in detail as I suppose all the others. Great location, I ate at the one time but it didn't seem bad at all. The bed is huge, the bathroom as well, the room is arranged 3 times a day and the wine cellar of the hotel bar is very supplied and not only are you usual commercial wines. I recommend it to couples and young groups because also the staff is young but also the less young will find peace and quiet because the hotel is quiet. Nice.

We were there this morning to organize a conference and the halls we have been illustrated and shown with competence. I don't particularly like the 70 years décor, but the Mandarin is five-star. Integration of the 16.02.18: I was last night and I ate at the bar noodles Tomato and basil. Very good and recommendable.

The most amazing experience in my life. If you want to make a special day this is the place. Everything starting with exceptional service, kind managers and shef, and of cause god's food with all delight, delicious taste and flavours — beyond any expectation. I would suggest choosing set menu / degustation menu which consists od 8 dishes. Thus you would try all the best ones a la catre. Wine list and all complimentaries are of magnificence! This restaurant is about the art of the food, with top service and incredible inpression.

I was in the very elegant bar/bistro and impeccable service apart from the lack of water at the table which was ordered apart. Interesting selection of cocktails accompanied by a good taste of finger food.

The best thing I've experienced during my stay at the Mandarin was the Diamond face massage + kobido by Manuel Ceci. My face looked so beautiful and relaxed! I've never experienced something like that with any other massage before.

It is a hotel of contemporary taste with excellent service and excellent food. I recommend it.

This is a truly outstanding hotel by any standards. It compares well with Sandy Lane, Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat & Splendido, Portofino. It is also eye wateringly expensive, particularly since the sterling crash. The standard of service is exemplary with nothing too much trouble for anyone — but with a genuine warmth of friendliness about it. The design and style of the place is what you would expect of Milan but it is beautiful. Every comfort is to hand in lavish bedrooms. Room service is excellent. I'm struggling to find something negative to say about it but — — — the pre and post theatre eating facilities (the bar serves some food) is really quite limited which is surprising given that the hotel is a stones throw from Teatro all Scala, the reason for my visit. It is ideally placed for everything else as well. I would like to visit again! When you walk into the Mandarin Oriental Milan, you just do not walk into a luxury hotel but you walk into a hotel which excels in everything. Located in the chic fashion district and also minutes away from the Duomo, this hotel surpasses almost all hotels I have ever stayed at in Europe. The hotel is contemporary in design with nice bold colours truly reflecting the Milan as the fashion capital.   Rooms are excellently appointed with architecture which give a sense of large working space.   Very well place electric sockets and accepting Indian plugs … the very first in Europe.

Excellent. One of the few hotels that managed to exceed my expectations. Tastefully decorated, quiet and spotless clean room, floaded with light coming from two large windows. The Spa is an oasis of relaxation and the fitness room is clean and very well equipped. The very friendly staff adds to the excellent guest experience. We will return for sure.

Had a deep tissue massage at the spa and loved the experience. Very relaxing and the masseuse was attentive to every need.

My wife and I visited the Mandarin Oriental Milan in 2016 for the first time and had a great experience. The experience this year (2017) has not been as pleasant, we will search for an alternative place to stay next year. The staff is exceptional, cocktails and food needs dramatic improvement.

Beautiful spa, classy hotel very well kept bar quiet and little frequented only Neo, hot bar area, indeed hot maybe little crowded, albeit level, great cocktails.

Too bad the bar is getting sad. It does not have the magic and the relaxing air of once. What you find at the Bulgari and or at the Four seasons. This is the fourth time I'm unhappy with the bar service. The waiters no longer have the predisposition, the sympathy and the more typical touch of the Mandarin Oriental. I'm sorry because I liked it so much.

A perfect city hotel. Exceptional service. Luxurious rooms and bathrooms. The spa and pool are incredible. The location is also ideal because it's right in the center of the city but tucked away on a quiet side street so you won't have to worry about a lot of noise.

Welcoming, wonderful ambience, and excellent service. Friendly staff. Particularly loved the intimate courtyard garden which has very comfortable seating. The snacks provided with the drinks were beautifully presented and according to our daughter, superb. Delicious olives and a seriously good strawberry smoothie, which tasted of sun-ripened fruit. I assume it was freshly blended. I hope you can provide lacto-vegetarian and gluten free snacks the next time we visit.
The Mandarin is a serene haven in Milan and should be on every visitor's list of what to do in this beautiful city. An experience not to be missed. Looking forward to our next visit.
