Having worked in a five star hotel before, I notice the little things when I stay somewhere. While having a nice property with good rooms is part of a good experience, it makes so much more of an impact on your stay when the service is top notch. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this hotel! They were amazing from start to finish and you could tell they took their jobs very seriously. The snacks in the lobby were delicious and always stocked and kept clean. The lobby/common areas were all very clean and smelling nice. When we got into our room for 3 people, we found the extra bed already made and extra amenities like shampoo/towels etc for the third person. We even checked in early! You can tell they cared about being prepared and that isn't something I see much at other hotels. However, the moment you can tell what a restaurant or hotel is really like is when something goes wrong. Either they take care of the guest or they don't, and Nikos (not sure of the spelling) and the rest of the team went way out of their way to take care of us when we discovered we had some ants in our room. They allowed us to move rooms very quickly and were always considerate throughout the whole process. They always asked what was easy for us and they always tried to give us the best solution possible. It was very clear that there goal was for us to have a good experience, and they succeeded! Lastly, every person on property went out of their way to hold the door and say hello. It reminded me of a Ritz Carlton or other five star property because it didn't matter if it was the kitchen person setting up the snacks, the maid in the hallway, or the person cleaning in the garage area — they all said hello, helped us with doors, or wished us a good stay. That's five star service!
