It's just a gem. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the unique Lake Como. For a romantic dinner it's the top. Caring service and respectful of anticovid norms. The owner is a sunny and helpful guy. He makes a risotto with amazing mushrooms. I mean, try to believe.

Took a day trip from Milan. Took the train then happened upon this place. They were so welcoming and the food was so delicious that my group ended up staying for several hours to sit and enjoy the breathtaking view. Several bottles of wine later and many appetizers, we headed back to Milan. It is now a beautiful memory thanks to this restaurant.

A lovely place, we got there for the second time with the funicular after a leisurely walk along the lake and four scenic steps… The atmosphere and the panorama are enveloping, the staff friendly, nice and discreet, the kitchen excellent, the cellar superlative! To complete refined jazz music played live. A place for unforgettable experiences, able to stranger from the everyday reality that remains away, down there!

Wait staff was very nice, and patient with our poor Italian skills! Delicious food and deserts. Reasonable prices all around. Best part is the view from from the balcony. A bit cliche but that really was priceless.

This place has a pretty good view of the lake from most of the restaurant. Make a reservation in advance if you want to sit near the edge with the best view. We got the beef ragu and it was amazing! The beef was slow cooked and just fell apart in your mouth. The service was fast and friendly and they spoke English and had an English menu. Great place for dinner or lunch. I would definitely come back here.

We had breakfast on the terrace and it was perfect!
The time was at the rendezvous and the view on come also.

This is the best place on Earth. Mountain View, cozy terrace, delicious local cuisine, historical interiors, but updated for the comfort of the stay. Parking is free.

You dine really good delicious place cared for in every detail and then the live music makes it very glamorous.

ERRATA CORRIGE — We are very sorry but the Bellavista restaurant does not even come close to the expectations that could be born after reading some rave reviews. We were There at the end of December ' 17 after long walk, well disposed and hungry. Apart From the panorama (vote 8) We can give a poor sufficiency to the choice and the portions of the dishes (vote 6-). On the Other hand, the service (5 and a half), the room (5) and the quality of the dishes (5) are insufficient. We took: Saffron dumplings (6), pappardelle with mushroom chestnuts (4 and a half), saddle with polenta (5 and half), Pear vanilla (5), Chocolate Dessert (5-). Not Expensive but The dishes do not deserve it. We Won't be back.

Really impressive Place, with direct view on the lake that lets go into the second floor of the dinner. The food is not exciting, mates a bit ' strong and not always well managed.

When you find a treasure it hides. But today I can't do it: the Bellavista is for us a charming place where you feel at home, pampered by friends Coco, Meme and Renato and the staff. For us it is a special place where you can celebrate family events, but also where to escape-only in pair! — from hectic life and to recover at their own pace. Superb view and original rooms, now we have tried nearly all of them and they are one of the most beautiful of the other… Yesterday sumptuous meal, the dessert deserves a special mention: mousse, chestnut cream and persimmon whipped cream… so good that I thought for a second, to the calories! The difference between a nice hotel and one where you cannot see the time return is made from the people that greet you and know how to make you feel really special…

Very nice family run hotel with fantastic views over Lake Como and good service. Get to Brunate with narrow serpentines, but the effort is worth it!

You have to come here to enjoy the place. Everything is just great. You will put on weight. You will never be bored and you will enjoy the friendship. The owner and staff are really, really, really great. Wish we had stayed longer.

Such an amazing experience! Not only are you dining with one of the worlds best views — at sunset, on a mountain top with a nice breeze but they also have the perfect twinkle lighting and plants surrounding their patio to give you a truly Romantic Italian dinner experience. The house red wine and these salads were our favourite but the pasta was delicious as well! Amazing service and such good value for how absolutely amazing this place is!

Quaint, beautiful, friendly staff, and incredible views. Stay at Bellavista to experience Como as it once was. No lift so getting to your room is a bonus workout.

Was drawn by the fantastic view. Didnt serve food till 7pm so relaxed on patio with drinks. Delicious olives n nibbles. Had to stay for the beautiful sunset so had some pasta also. Came from canada… well worth it.

The view during sunset was spectacular. If you're lookong for a quick drink and place to relax for sunset over Como, look no further. You'll have to take the rail up, but that in itself is a fantastic experience. The food was "good" but the service was highly lacking. The wait between dishes was 30 minutes on average. Two glasses of wine were comped because of the experience, but the food was largely average.

Got the attic room, and the room itself is exactly like in the picture. There was no air con which was a major problem as the room was constantly boiling hot. The views were stunning from the bar downstairs and the coffee prices were much more reasonable than other places we had visited in Italy (€2 for cappuccino).

Nice restaurant with real linens and table clothes… A delightful surprise atop the mountain but too bad the waiting staff has no experience. One would think Bellavista a touristic trap but it is not. Delicious and creative trio of salad options in green, orange and red. We ordered all three and they were pleasant, surprising, delicious and refreshing. For main courses, we ordered fish ravioli, blueberry pasta and there white fish with orange… All three were spectacular. The panecotta is a must! The only negative comment I have is about the 3 male waitstaff who had zero personality and at times the older if the 3 was rude to other diners (not to us) and he was not shy to do so in front of the rest of diners. The restaurant might as well employ robots to give menus and deliver food… As they would make for a more interesting interaction. We would definitely come back, but hopefully the next time their staff wouldn't be so unhappy to be there.

Average food, inexpensive.

Stopped here first for an espresso, which was very nice and accompanied by a great view. Came back for lunch, had a nice bottle of red with caprese and a tagliatelle with duck ragout. All very nice. Finished with a slice of chocolate cake. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was fine.

Good service and dishes, high end cost.
The entrees from 10 to 15 euros, 13, 17 and 6 seconds early euros. I expected a little more for these prices you could serve with some sfizioseria. (Some poor Capon)

Great food, prices average and breathtaking.

We tried to have a lunch there. Waiter gave us a table in a glass terrace. But the terrace was like a greenhouse, no air, hot sun, glass everywhere. We opened a door to get some air and waiter closed it, motivating that he is waiting for people to come and door will disturb them, however there was obody exept us. I tried to explain heim that there is no air, there is a ventilation problem. Also I asked that can we close it when people will show up. I was 100% polite and calm, but he started shouting and waving hands, telling me that its "his house" and he "decides open a window or not" and that he "had a customer before me and will have after me". We found it very rude and left the place. Waiter needs to learn some manners. I strongly reccomend not to give him a tip. Also the menu is poor.
