Bad bad bad bad! don't go there!
they are layers, they wroiend our vacation with lies and promises, try to ask for more money that we already paid for! I'm not talking about the rooms that are small, and that we came with a small baby and we had to wait a hole they without a room because they promiss us one thing and the day after they ask for more money … so many bad thing I can say about their service, so I say don't go there or you will regret it!
and there is one guy at the desk called stefano he is the the worste guy we had to deal with! be carefull
חוויה נוראית! הגענו משפחה עם 13 נפשות ותינוקות קטנה, שילמנו על 5 חדרים מראש, חלק ל 3 וחלק חדרים זוגיים, לא קיבלנו את מה שהזמנו בנוסף הם טוענים שלא שילמנו ומנסים לגבות מאיתנו 900 יורו נוספים, כל יום אומרים לנו משהו אחר ומושכים אותנו, מתנהגים מגעיל, כל אחד בדלפק הקבלה אומר משהו אחר, מבטיח משהו אחר, בקיצור הרסו לנו את הטיול, חצי מהחופש התעסקנו איתם, אנחנו מבקשים מישראלים לא להגיע למלון! לעשות חרם על המלון! חוויה נוראית…

Per essere un hotel a 4 stelle ha una colazione molto scadente e di materie prime pessime. Mi aspetto da un 4 stelle almeno frutta e colazioni salutari e una varietà con prodotti di eccellenza.

Rooms are a bit poor, but location is good.

Friendly, helpful staff, and a great position in Rome to be able to wander about safely. The breakfasts were substantial. Inside the hotel was a quiet place at night.

Fantastic location close to metro and bus stations. We walked to many places from this square. Our room is small, tired but clean, and we had a good quiet view over the art gallery. The aircon struggled but a door opening onto the balcony was a bonus. There are no facilities to make a cuppa either in the room or the common area. Wifi was okay. Staff? Two of the young concierges were friendly and helpful, and the maid we met delightful. They don't take their lead from front of house management who were rude, inhospitable and didn't have personalities suitable for a front of house role. Would we stay again? Probably not, but we'd find something in this location.

The location is convenient, close to the Metro. The breakfast is very modest but tasty. Internet is available but speed is not high.
The room was very clean. There is a TV with 8 channels.

Very good hotel with fantastic staff, special mention to Fabio in reception and Miguel, but everybody is friendly and helpful, plus they speak perfect English and Spanish. Vey good hotel adapted for disable and low mobility people. Perfect location next to Metro, taxi and touristic bus in Piazza Barberini. Only critic for the High Management: Internet Connection is Poor or inexistent, Ragazzi we can't have this internet connection in 4 stars hotel in 2018!

Very good location… Small rooms… good breakfast… very good staff!

The hotel is in a great location. To use a sink, a bidet normally is not possible-water simply does not go away-blockages. The ventilation in the bathroom does not work. The fridge does not cool its contents at all. Wi-Fi No. The only Plus is the hotel in the city center and daily cleaning and towel change. The question to the connoisseurs-if this Rome hotel is 4 stars, what is there 3 star hotel?

Good location to visit Rome and reasonably priced (in the month of March at any rate). Friendly staff and decent breakfast although very classic. Small downside, the water is really lukewarm or cold if you take a shower at "rush hour".

The hotel is pretty good. It is very centrally located next to the Barberini Square and adjoining the Barberini Palace (museum). Very close to Trevi Fountain (5 minutes). It also has very close to a metro stop and many restaurants. Breakfast is very complete. The only downside is that the room for 4 is quite small, though cozy.

Small rooms and bathrooms cramped. Breakfast is acceptable. In need of renovation. On the other hand the location is really central!

Very well located 3 blocks from Trevi Fountain. Leonardo The extraordinary receptionist! Very good hotel element; A Bambino! They only give breakfast. But for Rome is good because one is all day in the street of tourist. Super comfortable rooms remodeled. 'll.!

Great hotel in the historic center in Rome, suitable for a short stay. Just enough cleaning. Cheap breakfast in a modest place. Wouldn't stay here again.

Absolutely incomprehensible where five stars, I would not give two. The average level of service and terrible technical maintenance. The hotel has long and badly needs major repairs. Internet for five euros per day! Where else is there? Good only location and breakfast above average.

We had a family room for four, which was modern and clean, but quite small. Staff was helpful and spoke English well. Internet costs extra, is per device and pretty lousy.

Although it is in a cent but Vsezhe Internet… 5 euros for a day and then this internet is not all over the city I was in Prague and Budopeshte and that free Internet was on the whole city Tachnee you in going Internet and you dojut 5 giga Ineta to the whole city tidy too maul I polozhyl only 2 figurines and all the tables are not kandiceoner as mini At turn off once 5 need and then pray and vazmozhno it zarobotaet if you only want to sleep and eat at the hotel and Boltshe not go then choose your.

Very nicely renovated with a fresh look. Staff are wonderful, very friendly. Great breakfast options. Only downside is they don't have an iron to borrow and their Wi-Fi is terrible. You also have to pay for it. Otherwise I'm really enjoying my stay.

Great location, room was nice and modern, staff were helpful and the breakfast provided was better then expected. Came here on the last leg of travelling around Italy. We hadn't booked this hotel our travel agent had and we were expecting it to be horrible due to the online reviews but it was much better then expected. Maybe other rooms were bad but room 204 was nice and had a nice view of a local park right out our window. Bed was a bit hard but better then some beds we have stayed in over this trip. At least it was a full mattress not a split one like most hotels in Italy.

Location wise good, staff is ok, services not good, breakfast area not spacious, sometimes we had to wait for the table, tables and cutlery not clean, Wi-Fi not free, you have to pay 5 euros for 24 hrs. Only the location is good you can walk around. Great shopping area, Spanish steps, trevi fountain, and much more just at a walking distance from this hotel.

I spent my summer vacation in june 2017 at this hotel which appears not fitting the 4 stars. Dirty rooms with small bathroom. Quadruple room having one bathroom with no place to put even the toothbrush. Stinky towels and no free Wi-Fi. Not recommended even with its good location.

Very central, Excellent location. Easy stroll to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon or Spanish steps. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Rooms fairly basic but comfortable.

Check-in went well, but Dirty bathroom, towels with blood on it. Toilets in lobby dirty and not cleaned for days… Breakfast cheap and just instant / package stuff. Pay attention to the minibar, 8 EUR for a small water bottle. Not a 4 star at all… Can't suggest and wouldn't go there again… Good thing, close to the city center.

If you're looking for a hotel out of the past, the 1980s, this is the place to stay! I would have liked to see more amenities and services for this hotel since it's rated 4 star. Cleanliness was a disaster, our bathroom towels were stained with red marks and the common restrooms on the ground floor had a lot of dust and grime. Breakfast was "meh", nothing special. However the location was great!

Definately not 4 star quality, hotel is dirty, breakfast area scrambled, no fruit for breakfast, floor dirty. The drainage in bathroom no good, very small bathroom. Wifi is very slow. Would not book again.

No Wi-Fi in the rooms. But the one that sells is terrible. I'm shocked that the management can not put the internet.

The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are clean but dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Old furniture. Very small room. Air conditioning works through once. Breakfast poor. TV only in Italian. There is no kettle in the rooms. The glasses are only plastic. No bar.

It is a shame of hotel, the 4 stars it deserves half and by location. The facilities are acceptable, the cleanliness is notable by its absence, the receptionists are poorly educated and inpertinentes, the staff (except for a minority of 2 or 3) are irresponsible and do not know how to treat with guests. Has the worst breakfast service with little variation of food (zero vegetarian option), dirty cups and broken, plastic cutlery and or um sad toaster, bread and sausage is served the same throughout the week, so that smells and tastes bad (I would venture to say that it was out of date). With everything and with this, they refuse to give you sheet claims officer, claiming that you have no obligation to dispose of them. A shame of hotel, if you do an inspection would be considered a hotel without stars.

Good place to see Rome, you can the city by foot. Good place to stay, clean comfort, well tasty breakfast.

Great location but our room had mould in shower on roof, buffet breakfast not great selection of savory items just lots of sweet things.

Location more or less central, less than ten minutes from the Trevi Fountain. To be a four star hotel the room looked a little old and the breakfast was little varied. Three stars would be more appropriate.

Good breakfast and friendly personnel. The rooms were disappointment however. Really small, humid and too many small beetles (or something similar) crawling on floors and walls. Wifi connection was really poor in our room.

Excellent location and attention, very good hotel, only flaw is that the Wi-Fi is payment. But it would come again for its great location and good service.

Excellent hotel with unbeatable location. I've been to Rome many times but never found a value for money hotel like the Anglo Americano, you are right in the middle of everything! the breakfast was ok, typically Italian and the croissants very tasty, maybe the hotel could do with providing a freshly squeezed orange juice machine but apart from that everything was great. Our room on the 3rd floor was comfortable and the shower powerful enough, the TV channels all worked including bbc news. We even watched the Roma Lazio derby game on the TV — for the record Roma won! we will definitely be back.

Loved the hotel. Location is perfect for setting off to any spot in rome city. Great smiling and helping professional staff. Super clean and well-designed.

Will never stay here again. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel! Wifi not free. Breakfast poor. Not enough seating in December. Have to wait for chair. After 10 am they close. Even if you still wait to be seated. Two days no breakfast for us and many other people.

Don't believe those pictures posted, I can't believe this hotel is a 4* hotel. Room is terrible as well. Other than near Metro station is a plus, can't think of anything good. Totally disappointment.

I was there with my family for 4 days because we were travelling around Italy. We expected a lot from this hotel because It was a 4 stars hotel, and the previous hotel where we were in Florence was a 4 stars hot which was amazing, so we expected maybe too much from this hotel. The location was perfect, but maybe it was THE nice thing, just this one. The other things like the breakfast or the internet conexion were awful. For having breakfast we couldn't eat a piece of fruit because it wasn't offered! And the variety of food was nule as the quality of the food. Moreover, If we wanted to use Wi-Fi service we must pay 5 euros per day (in addition to 6 euros per person/day of the municipal fees) In relation to the environment was a disaster as well, there aren't glass glasses, they just offered plastic glasses. Just imagine how many plastic glasses can be used per day. The rooms weren't very bad, but a bit old fashioned although the bathroom was really small. On the other hand, people who work there are so friendly and they are prepared to help you with whatever you ask. But I don't think this hotel deserves 4 stars at all. Maybe 3, being generous.

This is possibly the worst hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. We trusted our travel agent to book this hotel but when I got here I was appauled. My family never stayes in a hotel lower that four stars and this should be a one star hotel. There are ants in our room and mosquitoes. The air conditioning is weak and wont let you bump it down so beware summer travelers. Also the air conditioning is on a window ledge in the room so we can't close the curtains at night or else the air wont get through. The second window in our room is broken and they can't repaoir it without two people so yeah. Worst hotel ever 0/10 would recomend.

Hotel with good conditions expect the internet, we pay 5 euros for 24 hours and the internet is so slow and is very very dificult to enter… In Portugal all hotels have free Wi-Fi and in rome we must pay. I dont recomend this hotel for this!

August 2013. ··Pros: — Location — Cleaning — Service ··Points against: — The access to the Internet by Wi-Fi or by Ethernet (Cable) to be insufficient. The Wi-Fi signal did not reach to the room (only in a specific point) and was not accessible from any common area of the hotel (reception, dining room, living room, …) — The breakfast is not varied in the 10 days we stayed and the quality of the food is within the average. In the rush hours lacked a place to sit and in addition missing cups and dishes, which you had to wait for the cleanse to replenish them. — Supplement per day and per person of municipal taxes of the city, 3€. Not included in the initial payment, must be paid before leaving the hotel. ··Key points: — we Had 24 hours of Internet browsing for free because of the type of accommodation booked. If you need more or the Internet does not enter you bid, you had to pay€ 5 for every 24 hours of use. — In the beginning we thought that 24 hours were few, but in the end we finished about 4-5 hours. — You could only connect a single user to the Internet connection, because you always have to enter your username and password when you log on and you'd have to disconnect the internet at the end, so that it would not continue to count on your total score of the 24h accumulated.

Our visit to Hotel Anglo Americano could not have been better. The location was ideal and the friendliness of the staff far exceeded our expectations! Our room was just right for two — immaculately clean and with all necessary items, such as blow dryer, shampoo, etc. Many times the staff willingly helped us: they confirmed our drivers and tours or helped us when we couldn't get our Wi-Fi to work, just whatever we needed! We will definitely stay here again if we get to come back to Rome someday!

Stayed for a week in June 2012 as a family of four with two young children. Multi-lingual staff were very helpful, giving us directions and suggestions for places to go that were not the main tourist attractions. Room was comfortable with enough storage space for us to unpack and still be able to move around in. No storage in the bathroom, so it became a little cramped with bathroom stuff having to live on the floor. Location was very good for us, with an easy walk to many interesting places and generally safe feeling when out in the evenings. Was surprised that a hotel of this quality still charges separately for Wi-Fi since every other hotel we stayed in provided it free. Still, a minor complaint in an otherwise comfortable and pleasant stay.

Be ready, that Breakfast is the will of plastic plates, plastic forks and spoons. And this at a cheap price.
