For me it was the highlight of our three day Rome trip. You can easily spend two to three hours there, exploring the beautiful ancient monuments embedded in the surprisingly green landscape. Also it was not too crowded as the place is huge and the crowds got distributed pretty well. On hot summer days you can find cold drinking water wells all around, a tour guide is recommended but not mandatory.

Amazing place to see. There's some awesome historical structures as there are informative texts about some of them. You really get to touch yourself to ancient Rome. There's really nice and scenic trails. There's also tap water and bathrooms along the way. It's definitely worth the money. You can buy ticket in front of the entrance for 12 euro that includes visit of the Colosseum — waiting on the smaller line.

I was interested in the temple of the goddess Vesta, as the vestals held a special position in society and were priestesses for 30 years. It is with the vestal katotheria connected with the history of the appearance of Rome.
Also the temple of Caesar, where there is an altar, on which flowers are carried today for Caesar.

We went with the audio guide of the Izi app. Travel, a very large route, without it to walk is not so interesting, although much it does not tell.

Due to the age of the site, a lot of it is in ruins. I would recommend a tour so you can get a full experience. We used City of Wonders and were pleasantly satisfied. There is so much to see. If you go during the summer be prepared for the heat as there is not much shade and a lot of walking. The history is awesome!

A visit to the Roman Forum is also a visit to the Palatine Hill. You can easily spend half a day on the location visiting the sites and the different museums. If you really like to have the full experience it's advised to join a guided tour. Since April 2018 there are also the S. U. P. E. R tickets, which give access to locations (among others) as the Palatine museum and Augusts house. A visit in the morning is recommended because its less busy and especially in the summer, less hot. For me it's one of the nicest spots in Rome.

It's breathtaking from the forum. Its scale and its history create indescribable environments and impressions. And the forum is much more interesting, more beautiful and more impressive than the Colosseum. If you climb the steps on the left you will find yourself on the upper platforms of a huge forum. From there, the whole forum in all its glory is perfectly visible. There are also parks on the upper platforms of the forum. From below on the forum itself, it is also worth a walk. Impressions are great.

They didn't buy the ticket. There was no goal to walk down there. We went around the perimeter and were satisfied! It's incredible! Such a legacy! But around the forum beware of "gladiators" who drag to take a picture and then ask for 5 euros for the photo. You tell them that there is no money and they immediately from smiling friends become serious, and in general, to be honest like a bully.
But we got in good weather and the playground was played by musicians. You could stand on the lookout and feel where you are now. Very indescribable emotions.

These excavations represent the political, juridical, religious and economic center of the City of Rome, the center of the entire Roman civilization. Archaeologists always work to dig and discover new artifacts.
You can't go to Rome without visiting the Roman forums. When you walk on the cobbled you feel immersed in another era. Just great.
Before entering, in the ticket office, you can buy directly the ticket for the Roman holes and the palatine, together with the visit to the Colosseum. My advice is to rent the audio guide, or directly a guided tour.

I haven't been back in nearly 20 years and I have been very pleasantly surprised. The uncovered exhibits and the history of the place are fascinating. The routes are quite clear, many drinking water fountains and WC are available. Still to be improved: the weeds — there are still so many around the monuments (allergy take me away…! ) ; The numbering of the monuments/remains — there are three different and it takes a while to understand what to follow.

You might be queuing up for tickets so I would recommend you to buy them online along with those in the Colosseum (the ticket is unique). To visit the whole hole it takes more than 2 hours going up to the Palatine. At the forum there is water (3/4 fontanelle) There are bathrooms (3 blocks but the bathrooms are not many) but there is a bar or a place to sit comfortably if not the beautiful benches under the trees in the Farnese gardens. The hole is undergoing positive changes with the re-opening of new spaces so I invite you to always ask the entrance which spaces are open. Also here I would recommend a guide but you can also use Audioguides.

I loved it. In the various blogs I could read people said it was BOF but actually you have to make this visit. In addition, it is included in the ticket you buy for the Colosseum and is integrated into the Roma pass. Very nice ballad to do with children among the ruins of the Forum. There are still beautiful vestiges. Take a guide or audio guide, we didn't do it and really we missed it to understand the history of the place.

A good guide to accompany you and it is one of the must of Roma. Go back in the evening. And s absolutely stop on the splendid view of the Forum from the Capitol, behind the Vittoriano, on the right.

This place for those who love history and this place nearly takes one full day if you want to know each structure and statue. This place for gathering Roman military before war to plan and prepare and after war to celebrate and discuss of their achievements. This was a massive building and almost totally building is destroyed but still we can find a lot of things like pillars and walls, also other monuments with different statues of different people. Small Temples also we can see there. This place nearby coloseum and metro station. So, it is easy to find out and just walkable from metro station. Those who want to know the Roman empire history I strongly recommend this place to see and explore.

Nice visit… Nice places. Guided tours allow you to cut the line. (many people). But take the time to walk.

Next to the Colosseum building is the Roman Forum of the ancient site. Before reaching the long quarters of the area, hand-sellers are drawn, paintings, Colosseum memorabilia. We arrive in the long line of the entrance to the enclosure, there is a lot of hustle, but the beauty of the enclosure is worth standing in. The ancient remains of ancient Rome, churches, venues, lectures, and gatherings. If you want to carefully look at all the buildings and enjoy the beauty of it, one day is not enough. Extensive grounds and stunning buildings. In order to enjoy the time, we should be there early in the morning, leaving a lot of time for long queues. I am ready to visit this area many times.

A place laden with history. After as always with the ancient sites it is necessary to have done a personal work of historical knowledge, work a little the subject. Otherwise we will only see small piles of stones and bricks on the ground. In summer bring a big bottle of water…

A cool place to get to know the history of ancient Rome. It is best to walk and read the description in the Inete, or take an audio guide. Just the ruins themselves do not carry as much information as can be learned through their history.

It was from this small area that the Romans made the decisions that molded their empire, and thus influenced the history of Europe, the languages we speak, and so much more. The site is absolutely beautiful to behold, and there is so much to see. From the Curia to the arches, to the mind-blowing temples. Don't forget to visit the upper portion, where lots of people don't bother going. You get a spectacular view of the forum and the surrounding parts of Rome. On a personal note, this place was, along with the Colosseum, the most important thing to visit in the city, and I hope to return one day and see even more of it.

Wow… Beautiful especially if you cross the streets illuminated by the magic of the sun and the colors of flowering plants… The paving stones are very well kept… Watch the imposing monuments… I suggest you do the cumulative ticket with the entrance to the Colosseum… Rome is wonderful… You can not visit them even for one day.

Inspiring and beautiful place, a taste for the view, beautiful architecture. There are panels with information everywhere explaining each and every one of the buildings, temples, remains and ruins there. Very well preserved considering that it will be over two thousand years old, a walk here results in a trip to the past, inspires you, and makes you think, highly recommended. In addition, there is no street vending in the enclosure, which is very much appreciated.

The political, religious, and administrative centre of: Antica Roma, offers the opportunity to view various typologies of buildings: Temples, basilicas, Domus, insulae, honorary columns, arcades, triumphal arches, gardens, Horrea Monumental fountains, the Curia. Along the way you can appreciate the different atchitectonic styles that characterize the different epochs of edification. The area of the Roman Forum proper, is bordered by the archaeological area of the Palatino, an area chosen for the imperial residences. Of particular architectural and stylistic interest the Curia, transformed in the BII century D. C. In the church dedicated to St. Adrian, the Temple of the Romulus, the Church of S. Maria Antiqua.

It’s part of the palatine hill area which is one entrance ticket. Amazing area which lots to discover. Amazing nature and perfect for a pleasant walk. So much history at one place. Great thing they have everywhere free well water available which keeps you going. Go when it’s not too hot.

I was very surprised by this place. I didn't know very well that I was going to find it when I visited it and it's wonderful. It's like going into Roman times and walking around an important area. A landscape of ruins, columns, temples and very nice arches. Ideal for walking, it is a very large area. There's enough tail to get in but it's fast. Climbing an area there is a kind of cave where they project a reconstruction of the place. I recommend the visit.

A very nice place, it is convenient to go first to the Roman Forum before the Colosseum, as it is quite the time it takes to tour the whole place. If you do not do all the same day, do not worry your ticket is valid to enter two consecutive days to the forum and the Colosseum. I as a personal advice would leave the Coliseum two hours before the sunset, it is very nice to see it with that nuance.

It was very hot, and there is no shelter from the sun practically. What liked it is of course the detailed descriptions of where where to go. In general, this place was not of much interest to me, but I still walked everywhere and looked at everything. The impressions are generally positive.

A marvel of history. You can't miss it if you travel to Rome. You can buy the entrance to enter the Palatine, Roman Forum and Colosseum. Choose it with guide because you do not miss anything and even think it is expensive at the end you rent. Also buy you this ticket is OK for the next day too. Incredible place… if you only have one day in Rome (I sure hope you don't! ), then you should definitely come here. So much history and it's really fascinating when you learn about what happened here. I would advise getting a tour for this section of Rome, as it helps to understand the buildings much better. We are against using tours, but for this place, you really should pay for one. Try to use the official tours though and don't get ripped off by third party tours who have zero knowledge.

Somewhere it was written that without a guide or not having read the history of ancient Rome to go here there is no sense. Lie. Walking among the ruins, your imagination will draw the facades of buildings, buildings, restore columns, statues, and closing eyes, standing on the Hill palatine, you can even hear the noise of the ancient city (true with Chinese accent) ). Lovely setting, much more to look around than the Colosseum and the queue was far shorter. The information is educational, informative, and interesting. There is lots to look at and see with some great views of the rest of Rome as well. Took some fun pictures and there were places to sit and have a bite to eat to (provided you bring your own). Spent about 5 hours there and was worth the time.

The tour is worth it. As there are many people, it is very useful to buy the combined Colosseum/forum/Palatine tickets in advance.
With the children, a visual support of the period situation is very useful to better interpret the ruins.

Great Freilichtmuseeum! There is much to discover and see. I can recommend the combined ticket (entrance to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum for €12). You will have two days to visit both sites. The queue for entry without a reservation took about 10 o'clock an hour! Better pre-order on the internet!

Beautiful, but got in not better weather. There was a terrible wind and air temperature of + 8. So this has spoiled a lot! In general, everything is interesting, walk, take a photo! The entrance was chosen from the bus stops (which are circular, excursion). No queues! The whole feeling of an ancient place with a great history! But no more! See you once! So you decide!

One of the emblematic monuments of the city, occupies a large area of land and therefore takes time to visit. Set of ruins and monuments worth seeing that show how great this empire was. The entrance is bought along with the Colosseum and the Palatine. Totally recommended to lose all morning.

Once forgotten the cashier's antipathy, we take pleasure in strolling through this very well appointed site. Every ruin is well documented in Italian and English. Audioguides in French are available at a surcharge if necessary. The adult entrance is at €12 for the Forum, the Palatine Hill and the Colosseum, a really honest rate.

Superb. We contemplate the story while remaining amazed by the complexity of the buildings. Attention, the access roads are not accessible to strollers and globally to people with reduced mobility. This should be the case in order to allow everyone to enjoy this beautiful site.

Very nice if you read about your story or download audio guides. I advise you to download some comparative image in which you see Ancient Rome with the current one.
Another tip is to buy the entry into the palatine palaces, take the quiet walk into your museum and end the day in the Roman forums. Do not try to do the 3 tours in a single day (Palatine, Forum and Colosseum), is much and will miss seeing things in detail. Tickets are for 2 days! What they couldn't see they see the next day. Eye serves to enter only once to each site. They can't go back in two days in a row.

My wife and I used the Rick Steves self-guided tour. This was by far my favorite place while visiting Rome. The history that happened at the Forum is amazing I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Please keep note that there are several people around the Forum area trying to offer bracelets. These people are scam artists please try to avoid them if you can.

Located in the valley between the Palatine and the Capitol, it is constituted by a square of almost trapezoidal form between the direction and the Rostrums, on the short sides, and the Basilicas Emilia and Giulia on the long ones. A prolongation in the northern part consists of the rally.

The Roman Forum is an exceptional place, filled with history and anecdotes.
Unfortunately the place lacks signs with explanations, schematics and reenactments to locate… which can be quite complicated at times.
Think absolutely to have with you a little guide book with some pictures to locate you as well as to see the impressive temples that were erected at the time there or watch you today!
The audio guide sold at the entrance is pretty handy too! Have a nice visit!

This was probably my favourite place in Rome. A sprawling collection of ruins that formed the splendid centre of Roman life. The buildings are fairly sparsely labelled so I would recommend taking an audio guide or a good guide book to help you make the most of your visit. It’s worth making the walk up to Palatine Hill as you’ll be rewarded by some spectacular views of both the Forum and out over the city. The ticket is included in the general entrance ticket to the colosseum and you can use them over two days. I would definitely give yourself at least half a day to explore this wonderful historic site.

To be able to marvel at everything in the Roman Forum, one should plan a whole day, the facility is very wide. There are also some quieter corners away from the "main paths" which are still worth seeing.
Also, in the rear, higher part of the area you have a great view in the surrounding area.
Quiet niches with seating among the numerous olive trees available also offer a short break.

Cute. I visited this place with a guide and honestly exhausted me mentally. Many facts about cures, and popes, and saints and virgins. Total boring. If you are not Catholic or you are not too interested in the history of the church, I recommend you go quiet to visit the ruins, it is a walk that takes a couple of hours to travel, but it is beautiful!

Many times the entrance to the Roman Forum includes the entrance to the Colosseum. If you go in summer, I recommend going to visit him at the end of the afternoon or early in the morning. Why pass the C Metro to the most beautiful place in the world? Why allow the excavation of a unique archaeological site in the world? No trams? Electric buses either? The Metro B Stop Colosseum was not enough? Pure madness. We Italians are unable to understand how much luck we have had to be born in such a beautiful country. Too much widespread ignorance and too much misrule tolerated.

It baffles me that there are people in this world that give 1 star reviews to a place as beautiful and historically significant as the roman forum. Its like… what can the world offer to impress you? Not super stroller friendly is the only drawback but I don't think the creators had that in mind. Easy in and out of the park was streamlined. Once in a lifetime visit.

I state that you see so much even if you do not enter and therefore without paying a ticket. But I paid €12 to visit the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, so it's worth it to walk inside the heart of Rome. The forum was the nerve center of ancient Rome, a magical place where you can leave behind the modern city and relive a unique experience, among the remains of a city that dominated, and that gave life to modern civilizations, in almost all of Europe. Rome is charming, magical and full of art. Highly recommended.

Words fail to successfully describe the Roman Forum, nor can they convey my feelings as I strolled through it. This place is truly amazingly, breathtaking! The history of this place is awe inspiring, and just to think of the great Roman emperors who walked those streets brought a sense of humility to my soul. GREAT Experience and I think anyone who is in Rome HAS to take a walk through the Roman Forum.

A very impressive place that invites you to take a leisurely stroll. However, you should bring time. There is much to discover and it is very wide. Also in low season (I was there in February) very crowded therefore it takes at the entrance despite Roma pass a little longer. But it was good inside.

Fascinating ancient city within a city. This is way bigger than we thought, and we ended up not seeing everything. There's a ton of history and culture preserved here, so plan to take your time. Also, bring a water bottle! They have refilling stations but no water fountains. Be sure to get the view from the top.

I recommend going early to take out the entrance as it is always crowded and there are long lines that move very slowly. From here you can take the entrance to the Colosseum and the Palatine, the entrance for these three places comes 12 Euros. If you do not know much about history I recommend you buy a guide to Rome (before arriving), are not worth very expensive 12 euros, there are cheaper, as not everything is well signposted, missing posters that explain some things and you have to have enough imagination to try to Visualize what it was like before with what's left now. Inside, on the route, there are machines with biscuits, water, to 1 Euro that are saviors if you have been around for several hours.

Beautiful place! It's worth the visit. Always buy the official ticket (which allows you in two days to visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum). Watch out for those who sell guided tours at the entrances. They charge twice as much as the entrance and at least I did not receive any guided tour. Pure scam!

Would have hoped for more/something else.
You can see a lot of old ruins. No reconstruction or pictures as it might have looked. Information boards with plans partly very run down. Nice for a walk photos and nice view, but more also not. Visited this place only because it was included in the ticket for the Koloseeum. Overall, I would say but worth seeing.

A very interesting place. Great expanse of deposit, lots of things to see.

Highly recommended to start the visit to the Palatine and end in the Roman Forum why the road is down. If done backwards there is quite a slope to climb.
I also recommend to bring an umbrella on sunny days (especially in summer, when it gets hot), use sunscreen and bring water or soda because there are not many shady areas inside the enclosure and no places where to get cold drink).
The visit is beautiful and very interesting. It's worth coming in to visit.

I won't describe the Roman Forum because you have to see it to believe it. I'll stick to how to visit it. Definitely book tickets online, you get a two day ticket which provides entry to the Colosseum as well. Do not engage with any of the guides outside the Forum, even if they implore that they're providing free advice and are well intentioned. Also don't engage with street vendors selling antiques unless you want to be tricked into buying things. If you plan to visit both the Colosseum and Roman Forum on the same day, I'll suggest dropping by 12 and taking an hour for each. But the best plan of action would be to drop by at 3 in two consecutive days to skip the queue. I used Rick Steve's audio guide which is an hour long podcast with directions to visit both of these locations without spending a dime. It's not only free, but it's highly informative and easy to follow. Pro-tip: Book online, use an app for the guide and stay away from guides and vendors.

Amazing. There are a lot of toursa choose from different prices and duration. If you want to take the tour on your own you can rent an audio guide, really cheap. Excellent view of Ancient Rome!

Have made a round to the forum because we did not want to miss the valuable time in Rome with standing. Price certainly OK, but hold on for too long wait. But you can see enough outside.

No doubt the most indispensable sight of all Rome. It is necessary a good guide to appreciate the whole history of this place: the Curia of the Senate, the place where they incinerated Julius Caesar, the House of the Vestals, the Basilica of Maxentius, the houses of Augustus and Livia.
The entrance also includes the Colosseum. There is usually a lot of people but being a big space is not as crowded as other sites. It has magnificent views, especially at dusk. I recommend entering via the imperial forums and not the Arc de Tito area, and follow a "chronological" route.

Shocking. The Rome Forum is a place to meet without a doubt if you visit Rome. It is highly recommended to hire the guide service. We did the tour a very hot day but luckily we found several water recharge points. I recommend wearing comfortable footwear as the floor is irregular.

Go if you like history, if you have a few hours to spare, if it's not raining (as it is, all of it, out in the open). It's a glimpse at how Rome was setup thousands and hundreds of years ago, with ruins off a whole city center where half a million people once lived. If you look at the architectural landscape, it'll feel like you're back in time. The only negative is the overall lack of information, like historical info or suggested routes within the area.

It's a place to go with a guide, unless you know its history. The first Sunday of every month is free, so it is worth investing in the guide. You can get one from €20 onwards. You need about 2 hours to walk it and get to know the most emblematic places. It is very curious and interesting to see all those places and think about what they once were. You can take pictures everywhere, from the palatine there is a panoramic view. Outside there are always a lot of vendors with everything you need and they are not really expensive.

WOW! This tour was OUTSTANDING! The Forum was a site to behold, but had it not been for our excellent tour guide, the heat would've screwed up everything. Barbara was knowledgeable and made sure the tour was fun for all, even the young children who were on the tour. The best bit was Barbara taking note of the very hot day and making sure to steer the group to shaded areas wherever possible, while still enthusiastically telling us interesting tidbits about the the Forum. Thank you Barbara for an outstanding tour. I highly recommended this tour, and I would asked to be in Barbara's group. :-)

The Roman Forum is HUGH! There is literally too much to see, you can't comprehend the size and scale of the ruins until you see them. Give yourself at least half a day, a good pair of walking shoes and plenty of spare batteries for your smart phone. Every view is a photo waiting to happen! The views from the top of Palentine hill are magical. One of the most amazing places I have ever visited. Some much culture and history.

For those interested in Roman history an absolute hotspot! You can feel the story in this place. Despite the many tourists it has gone well and you could explore the forum. The entrance fees are fine and it is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful! Should not be missed! The entrance fee gives you access to many more attractive points of the Roman Archeology. Take your time and be prepared to walk for a good three hours of you are serious about getting to know it! For us it has been a part of history that jumps from the books into our faces! To do with the ticket coupled forum/palatine/Colosseum. The place is huge, plan for good sneakers! Little tip: Take the ticket to the forum, there are far fewer people than the Colosseum.

A beautiful walk along the Via dei Foro Romani. In direct contact with history. There are no adjectives to describe the beauty of Rome.

I adore this place. So much history, you could spend a whole day here easily. Though many of the areas are unfortunately not well preserved, there is still so much to see and the paths and trails are really easy to follow (just make sure you have a map, otherwise it's easy to get lost). I used the audio guide and I highly recommend it — the one I got (at the Palatine Hill entrance) had a map that tracked my location and showed me the audio segments for the areas I walked by.

No other place on earth like Rome, no place is Roman like the forum. Take a guided tour and, during spring/summer enjoy one of the Night Special Tour light and video mapping, just amazing.
No place in the world is like Rome, and there is nothing more Roman than the holes. Take a guided tour and in spring/summer you don't have to miss the special night events with the video mapping on the monuments, fantastic.

A really nice experience, wonderful archeological site you walk in ancient Rome! cared for and well maintained. Negative note it is necessary to make the ticket that includes Foro Romano, Palatine and Colosseum.

Being surrounded by so much history is beyond understanding. Hard to imagine how the Romans did to build such gigantic things at that time.

Awesome, magnificent … what else to say! The scale and amount preserved will leave you feeling in awe and imagining life two millenniums ago. In practical terms recommend you buy tickets at entrance to Palatine Hill (at 11ish on a weekday we waited only about two minutes to buy tickets). Only option is to buy a ticket that covers Forum, Colosseum and Palatine Hill, €12 at time of writing. We walked around and from the hill down to forum as we'd seen Colosseum already, nice route. It was pretty busy especially in Forum, early AM is likely better as it will be cooler if in hotter months. Water fountains to refill bottles are available at a few places throughout site, which was great. Not well signposted and we couldn't get a map, but there are maps placed around to find your bearings. Reading up on it or a guide likely very useful, there are quite a few informative plaques in Italian and English but not as many as you may expect. Amazing in any case!

Absolutely amazing. It takes about 2 hrs to fully cover everything here. Get good walking shoes because you'll be backtracking a lot in hot and humid weather. There's not much shade or areas to rest. Also bring two large water bottles per person. You can refill them for free at the constantly on faucets around the forum. Don't miss the view from Palatine Hill when you're done. Also make sure you have a map of the place because it's easy to get lost. Don't bother with tour guides… just get the Rick Steves Roman Forum audioguide on your phone and listen along. I saw lots of other people doing this too. It's incredibly overwhelming to be walking the same streets that the ancient Romans did more than 2, 000 years ago. My favorite part of the Forum was the courtyard of the Vestal Virgins and their temple of the sacred fire.

A lot of ruins, the walk is quite pretty without one taking full eyes for so much. But it's worth a visit.
Be careful to go early in the morning or in the middle of the afternoon to avoid too much queuing.
It's not much use to book before because there are so many queues to exchange the voucher as to buy the ticket. This comment also applies to the Colosseum
Also be careful not to stand out until you have made the palatine because it is the same visit and if you go out of the Roman forum telling yourself that you will make the palatine later or the next day you may not be able to return.
It's very poorly explained and misappropriated too. We got caught but had the good idea of wanting to make the palate the same day and the woman at the cashier let us through. But if we had returned the next day as originally planned we would not have passed, that's for sure.

A fantastic place to visit. A downside to locating entries that are not really indicated. But can be a result of the attacks. The explanations given in English and Italian on the main ruins. I think it is necessary to prepare his visit in Hamon to imagine the place 2000 years ago…

Part of the education of mi wife and mine have been classical history and literature and we are both fascinated by this culture reading many books about it, but few things compare to the feelings when you enter the real place. It took its real dimension thanks to our guide who made the ancient Foro a life and made us feel like Romans walking around. Impressed and convinced to get back.

The hole. The heart where it all began. In the evening, when the sun colors red the white travertine; When that intense red is attenuated, turning into the darkness of a new magical night; When from the thousand holes of the ancient travertine the shadows of the ancient heroes take shape and from behind the imposing columns, animated by the faint light of the magical moon, seem to come forth the wise senators in their white robes, conscious of being the power of Rome, Center of the world.
It is in the evening that Rome speaks to its guests and it tells. Every street, every window or wall gives us some of the history that has devoured avidly in the time that has seen the protagonists.

The archaeological site itself is beautiful and very interesting. But there are many things to improve. Primarily the information on revenue. We were queuing 1h30 in the scorching sun (they could plant some shady tree if they didn't want to add structures to fix people in a row) and at the "checkout" we found that 1) you couldn't pay cash, and 2) informed us that there was Another entrance to the height of the palatine with less people and where you could pay in cash. They had put signs at the beginning of the queue they would have avoided a useless desolation. Luckily the good souls behind us have paid the entrance with their credit card. Then the entrance costs 12 euros, but inside there is almost no information to understand how the site is structured. They could give a brochure at the entrance with a map of the site and a little more in-depth explanations of the little and nothing that is on site. So I think it is worth going there with a guide that is a valid, and not like those who come in the middle of the row to try to sell his service. Since it already costs, might as well spend a little more and really enjoy. Also there is no monument in Rome where they make reductions for art history students, including bore!

Brilliant hotel — staff have been lovely and very attentive! Service has been brilliant, lovely food and loved the American bar. Very clean and tidy hotel as well as being so close to all of the main sites in Rome! Would highly recommend!

Just reviewing the rooftop bar, but based on that and the enticing restaurant I'll be staying here my next visit. Wonderfully helpful and polite concierge and bar staff, this truly is a rare gem in Rome. Beautiful views and very reasonably priced. Thank you.

Very central and great for walking around Rome on foot. The room is not very large. Very nice breakfast served on the terrace from which one can see the Roman Forum.

Friendly and helpful staff in all areas, breakfast excellent and views fabulous from bedroom and restaurant could see Colosseum and Forum Would have no problem recommending a stay here.

Refused to even seat me, apparently had no room that night at the restaurant. Despite the ENTIRE floor being empty. Concierge was very rude. Shame.

I came to spend my short leave here and stayed almost a week. I like the ambience and traditionally decorated cozy rooms. Friendly staff makes the joy double and make your stay pleasant.

Stay for 10 nights, then a period long to form a fairly accurate judgment discreetly: upon arrival in Rome (read underground Coliseum), the folks at the hotel were not able to guide me to the hotel itself (about 400 m) and they left me to myself at 11 at night in a city like Rome; In addition to initial incompetence, I detected a constant arrogance, of all staff; the room was small for the price, very little room to move around, the elevator arrives at the restaurant was always full of food smells; excellent location, a stone's throw from the Imperial fora; Finally, demonstrating class a 0 star hotel, at check out I declared the consummation of a bottle of mineral water, exactly the first night after the vicissitudes of which he was guilty; and the bottle I was charged, two euro jangling, worse than that.

We arrived at this hotel as a family (2 children and 2 adults) Placed a normal room 2 room. In one room, 2 beds (for children) and the other one big bed (for adults) Room cramped. We come with dinner in the room clean blankets with children's beds and there black spots. The pillows and a blanket. Well we did not respond and just went to sleep. On the following day the child поевились strange red spots. Thought that Allergy. Then the next night remove the blanket and we cried daughter that on the bed bug. We came and there was crawling BUG! We called the reception and steel разбиратся. In the end, before the извенились and перестли in normal room. There was no клапов! But not езжаете Tudu there BUGS.

A great place to take a break and see Rome but. Next door is an Irish pub that doesn't close until around 1.30am and they can be heard, standing outside having a smoke and loud chatter, even with the hotel windows closed! Most staff were excellent and helped with changing rooms as I was given a room that smelt like an ashtray, inspite of requesting a non-smoking room; only one staff member was distinctly less than courteous, and the ladies serving at breakfast have great trouble remembering room numbers, to the extent that we were embarrassed to have a guy in uniform come and check on us as if we were strangers! We had no meals there but there is a great, cheaper restaurant nearby — you'll find it if you explore! Overall it is worth the money paid and so central to the Forum, Colosseum etc etc.

This place is a hoot. Feels like you've walked on to the set of 'The Addams Family'. 0r a Pasolini movie. Or both! Then step outside and the clashes continue with Ancient Rome and Modern Rome competing for attention. Back to the review — good solid service — must be the suit and tie.

I brought a group of 15 to this hotel in July 2009. We stayed one night then left for Venice for two nights and then came back and stayed another night. The staff of this hotel went out of their way to help us in every possible way. The location of this hotel was amazing. I promise you will really enjoy your visit to Rome if you stay at this hotel. The breakfast on the rooftop was wonderful. It was hot during our visit and the airconditioner in the room was good and the lobby was good and cold too. A great place to stay.
