The friendliness of the staff very positive but the negative points and not to leave out. When you book they have to say that breakfast no longer does buffet do not make the rooms after the first night is the fee of the. 36 to add to the cost of the rooms.

Couldn't make an international call from the room phone. Asked the clerk for help, got a blank look… Then "Maybe tomorrow"!

Room 410. No hot water, no air conditioning. Instead they give us a table fan. This 4 star rating is a joke. The hotel is a scam. Stay away. You’ve been warned!

I had a great time in a spectacular palace. Breakfast was, however, the weak link. Not bad, outside possibilities to josa.

This review comes after staying at this hotel for two nights — Aug 17th 2018. This is not a four star hotel as advertised. I think the addition of the car park and the courtyard bumped this hotel up from a 3? The hotel is a bit dated and photographs do not accurately depict the current condition of the hotel decor. In places the hotel is exceptionally clean and modern and in others run down and in need of redecorating. The room we had on the second floor had a double bed and a view of the side street. But quiet. The room itself is small but comes with a decent sized shower bathroom. The room kept to a clean and tidy standard although signs of wear and tear to decor noticeable. The bed extremely comfy (bed bug free) and the air con although noisey worked so well I had to turn it down due to feeling cold. Breakfast is not to a 4 star standard. Continental buffet style with very limited choice. The food on offer either did not look appealing or was of very poor quality. This meant sticking to croissants and the coffee machine as other options personally seemed unappealing. Shame because the service of staff on desk and in cleaning is very friendly, polite and professional. Breakfast for me sadly was a let down. The location of the hotel is great. A hop on hop off bus stop is literally opposite the hotel the other side of the church. Very handy for walks to metro, bus, shops and cash machine (avoid the blue and yellow Euro atms, as they charge you a fee).

Good value hotel. Close to everything. They improved breakfast by having a barista make espressos. Air conditioning could be a bit better. Not cool enough in the room during summer.

The hotel is in a great location, next to the beautiful church of St. Mary Major, a short distance from Termini station, National Street and Imperial Forums, as well as the Brancaccio theatre. A charming hotel, it has a 1600s church (visitable). The rooms, especially the bathroom, would be a bit to review. Breakfast abundant, for all tastes, but elongated juices with water, so not pleasant. Free but unguarded parking, and also poorly cared for… it was full of garbage; also being shared with a restaurant, the hotel is exempt from accountability for any damage suffered.

How sad. A 4-star one worth 1. With 150 euros a day you have a dilapidated room, an inefficient bathroom (see showers), a poor breakfast and not genuine. The Lazio region should control.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location just a few blocks from the train station. Easy walk to all attractions. Rooms were comfortable and staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The reception is very good, the place is well located from a tourist point of view, taxis are available right in front, the only snag I could given is compared to the shower not very convenient.

3 * maximum, old plumbing, sockets, small rooms, dirt. Breakfast very quickly ends. The hotel has no bathrobes, slippers. The set for a shower on the 1st person and that does not draw on 4 stars. Wi-Fi is available every other day.

Very bad hotel. We changed 3 times the room. Stuff was very kind and polite, they try to make for us the best, but if you don't have you can not give. In bathroom you can step in to bath only by jumping over a wc toilet. Room 207. Sorry for not take the photo, but I was running from the room.

We are a group of nine students who have stayed in the structure in question for a project. Firstly the hotel has ' transformed ' a triple room into a room for five people, making it virtually impossible to stay so comfortable. A bath for five was insufficient. The room was dated, the smell was not pleasant view of the carpet. Belonging a few exceptions the staff were not particularly friendly. The breakfast was poorly stocked by the standards of a four star hotel. Luckily the location is very central and it was very easy for us to reach all the points of our interest.

Position is very convenient, but the hotel. Well those photos on web are very old images of what's current. Now everything is quiet old and dusty. No internet service in the room. Breakfast bad. Staff friendly and likeable.

Excellent location. The concept of the hotel is good as it is in an old building. The view of the room to the dome of the cathedral is very nice and in the evening even more for its enlightenment. The room is small, and the one I used had the toilet covered, a very dim light because the room was blown bulbs. There was No replacement of the items like toilet paper. But overall it's OK, 3 minutes walk from Roma Termini Station. Included an acceptable breakfast and for the room rate I would say more than acceptable. I would stay there again maybe I had bad luck with the room I was assigned.

Great hotel — beds are a bit stiff with the springs, but good service. Good Wi-Fi and we got a large room. But our travel partners got rather tight rooms. All in all good stay for the price.

A hotel that usurps its stars. It's not clean and breakfast is just a shame. Anyway, don't go. I specify that I am not a difficult customer, but from there to be scammed…

In a historical building readapted to hotel residence, elegant and welcoming. Spacious and elegantly furnished rooms. Breakfast with quality assortment. Friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with Palazzocharme, with a study group there, very small room, closet hinge broken, no trouser hanger… large modern bathroom but no storage area, no hooks in bathroom for towels (others had older, even moldy baths) Breakfast so Lala, I'm accustomed to better, coffee, and that in Italy, came from a vending machine without Bohnenmahlung, tough service and minimalist beverage menu in the very nice patio,
4 * are, in my opinion, overrated, but friendly, courteous and previously coming staff.

When it says "Antico" it really means it. It is like going back in time at the age of noblesse, you expect to see some ladies in their beautiful baroque dresses coming out from the old Chapel in the morning, gentlemen coming down the large staircase dressed up for riding their horses up to villa Borghese in the afternoon… While the ladies are having a tea in the yard or reading a book in the library. Suggestive location for a roman holiday that will throw you back in time in any case, and much before the era of this antique Palazzo!

The hotel lists AC in rooms, ours did not have AC, itching all night? Something else shared or bed. On three days the breakfast was short on all stock, staff in tears being overworked by management. Four guests went out for supplies, & brought them back to the restaurant. Manager refused to discuss the issues. Stay somewhere else.

I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. First of all let me start with the fact that although the hotel looks very nice in the photos, in reality it is very run down physically. When we first arrived 4 days ago, we were given a room on the 4th floor for my dad, mother, sister and I. This room was already humid as it was and the air conditioning hardly worked. The Wi-Fi signal was also very weak on that floor so I do not reccomend booking a room on that floor (or at this hotel at all). Once we complained about our room, we were given a room on the first floor in 104 and 105, for 4 to evenly share. At first the rooms were pretty nice, with only some small issues that were quickly fixed such as a broken fridge and shower. They were fixed about a day later. Although on the third morning, my mother woke up with many BED BUG bites. We complained to the staff and they gave us the usual excuses: "Our beds and blankets are cleaned every day for our customers satisfaction, maybe the bites are from outside mosquitos. " I bought it at first but was still skeptical due to our prior experiences. About an hour later we were getting ready to leave the hotel for sightseeing, but before we did, my father actually caught one of the bugs crawling on the wall. We caught it and showed it to them, which they admitted to having some reports of biting bugs. Please save yourself the hassle, and don't book here.

My family and I, wife with two boys, 5 & 10 got back yesterday and our first stop was to the emergency doctor in our home village that we phoned when we landed back in England. We had to go due to the mass of BED BUG bites my 10yr had suffered whilst at this hotel. We initially thought the bites were mosquito bites and visited the pharmacy twice for medication, costing 60 Euros. Until I swapped beds on the last night just incase. About 530 in the morning whilst sleeping in his bed I caught a BUG on me which was the size of a small garden pea and when I squashed it, it was full of blood. I have photos of the 'critter' and the bites to my son. When confronting the staff in the morning and showing all my sons bites, the first thing he said, 'what room are you in? ' Obviously knowing what the bites exactly were 301. All the staff could do was apologize, but I couldn't explain what a misery his hotel had caused my son over 4 days, of scratching and pain. Not only that but the air con was rubbish and I had to keep the spare key in the plug all day so it was a half descent coolness when we came back in. Also the fridge did not work at all. The bath plug didn't fit, so the boys couldn't get a bath, just a shower. I can confirm breakfasts are basic and limited, quite poor for an allegedly 4 star hotel. Tell you the truth I don't know why I have give it 2 stars as it's dated and needs a complete overhaul + fuming re disgusting bites.

The staff! From the front desk to the breakfast service to housekeeping. They are friendly and helpful. I was in Europe for 2 months and will tell you that this is my favorite hotel. Great location, for walking anywhere. And Leo the 12th's chapel is on the 3rd floor. Amazing place to relax in the court yard after dinner! We stayed here for a week and I would like to stay longer. Much to do and see right there in the area. Relax and enjoy there is no need to rush experience this hotel like you were a bishop in 1600's.

Aperitif working in the garden located on the first floor, very nice location located right next to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore so well connected with public transport.

Although it is a good location, we signed up for 4 nights. The AC in our room stopped working on the 3 Rd day they moved us into another room. That Ac also stopped working, I notified them in the morning and told them we didn't sleep well because of the AC problem. They said the tech was on the way, 5 hrs later still no repairs. I decided to go to another hotel, they tried to charge us for the 4th night, after much complaining the they finally only charged for the three nights. So disappointed in their reaction to the problem I would never stay there again.

Cleaning OK. Some small detail to improve in the bathroom. Breakfast Great service.

Good hotel, in a great area, very close to the station. Clean and tidy rooms, but in my case the TV didn't work (no problem, I wouldn't have used it anyway). Classic International Breakfast with some packaged products. Very friendly and helpful staff.

“Great view of the church across the street. ” I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it's in a really good position with a really good family restaurant around the corner, the room was comfortable, clean and a good size. All the staff are very welcoming and always very polite, there was a young Asian gentleman whom I found extremely polite. Traditional Rome breakfast I assume — was good, my only regret was that the shower took along time to drain and the place to hang the shower head was loose so you could only use one hand to bathe while holding the shower, am sorry I didn't report it as I'm sure it would have been fixed. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures as I think I deleted them by mistake.

Rooms weren't cleaned, previous guests left food in fridge… had to ask for it to be removed. Same in the bathroom, bar of used soap left in shower. Had to buy hand soap etc as it was never replenished once used. Wouldn't class it as 4 star hotel, not with the service provided. Lucky to be acknowledged in reception…

Enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and great view. A pity there isn't any tea and coffee making facility in the room. I like a cup of a tea as soon as I get up. The bed was really comfy. In a great location as well.

It's a 1600's palace that is why the hotel is a suggestive place where enjoying your trip in Rome. Furthermore The staff is very friendly and polite. Thoughout the hotel is located in the centre of Rome and you can visit the city without any means of transport.

Stayed 2 nights here in January 2014 — very nice hotel, my room was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was included and had a very good selection of food, yogurt, fruit juice and coffee. The shower was nice and hot water, which feels great after a day of walking all over this beautiful city. The staff at the hotel were all very nice, professional and courteous. I would easily stay here again.
