Staff very nice and helpful! Excellently customer service! Had a lovely stay even though we arrived at 9 am they check us in and had a room ready and took exceptional care of us.

Fantastic location, lots of history, good aperitivo and very spacious rooms and suites.

We arrived at 11am check in is at 3pm and they were so accommodating in storing and helping us freshen up before running out to the tour they helped arrange on the spot. When we returned everything was ready for us! Got an excellent recommendation for dinner from the concierge and comfy beds to plop our travel weary bodies!

Love the interior style and outdoor cafe but love the staff even more! They are so accommodating!

There is something unique of historic hotels, in great locations with true 5 star service: they are memorable! Memorable stay in the eternal city that despite the times has given me a sense of peace and put me in a state of total relaxation. The Staff is very professional, a special mention to Mars. Anna Maria at reception that made me feel a regular guest despite me being a first time guest. Everything was perfect and the aperitivo I in vIa Veneto is still and always iconic. Grazie and see you soon again!

From checkin to checkout worst experience ever at a Westin Hotel. The best part was when Simone the Concierge on duty this morning proceeded to argue with both my wife and myself. The well trained art of customer service has checked out at this Westin.

For a luxury hotel a over 3k a night, all they proved is a bottle of water daily. Carpets are stained and dirty, free coffee machine in lobby only till 8am. No fresh water or anything else in lobby! Spa is the size of my living room, jacuzzi is connected to small indoor pool, so cold water! Not impressed at all and although we used points, sad we deposited so many into this overrated, outdated property!

They stole my jewelry! Very dishonest employees!

7 night stay in July was absolutely perfect. Great concierge, front desk, and doorman service. Beyond being a piece of history itself, the Excelsior was a great place to start each morning @ the Doney and end the evening @ the Ovum. As a lifetime Starwood Platinum, the upgrade to King Suite was amazing. Thank you to the Excelsior team.

Very historical vibe, spacious and imperial style guest rooms, wonderful breakfast venue, friendly staff… the place to stay when in Rome.

You could do more.! Service to be improved especially on occasions such as the Grand Russian Ball where 400 people from all over the world were expected and it is flawed in the amount, not in the quality of the food and in the arrangement of the tables. Many, not only the undersigned, realized that the soda table created a real cap on the circulation between the halls, I understand the practicality and the connection between the kitchen and the retrohousing of the materials but honestly only one table was insufficient, how unacceptable it was to see the expectation of so many people standing waiting for the food or clean dishes to be brought. The waiters should at least serve the appetizers on individual saucers in order to contain the hoarding and the ungentlemanly demeanour of the first patrons while the others remained dry-mouthed waiting for half an hour to stand! It's not a service you'd expect from a 5-star! Personally the starters and the fried I just glimpsed them. Vodka and caviar, not even the shade. I ate two rigatoni in white and after half an hour another three of the number in red, this because the dishes were self-service, but I repeat a check of the quantity in the dishes is due by the service, would have enough two waiters who made the portions and would have f acilited the smoothness of the ladies in crinolin! That said, it remains one of the most beautiful places to dance in Rome!

We stayed at this hotel during 4 nights and, though the location of the hotel is wonderful, the rest of our stay was somehow disappointing. The lobby room and the breakfast are amazing and we were very well served by a french man at breakfast (wearing glasses — did not see his name unfortunately). The level of service he gave us was what we were expecting from all the staff but did not get. The check out experience was more than disappointing and for the rest of the staff, it always seemed like we were bothering them with our questions. We even had our luggage almost thrown out in the lobby when we came to pick them up which is not up to the level of service of this hotel. The pool was great though we had to ask twice to get the bubble pool on as no one regularly checked it. Finally, the service of one complimentary hot beverage a day is great and very efficient. The cleaning of the room on the other hand was not acceptable as our glasses have never been changed. The maid would take the dirty glasses but not bring clean ones so we had to call everyday to get clean ones. The state of the room is also poor with traces on the walls and in the closet. A refresh of the rooms is necessary I believe. All in all, though our experience was not very positive, our stay was nice and the room was furnished with all necessary material. The wide closest was also very appreciated.
