Beautiful hotel with own restaurant attached. Delicious food and buffet breakfast. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. I would definitely five it 4*. My only critsism would be that although our room was large and well presented with a small outside courtyard and a jet bath, we did not have any view to speak of or lots if natural light even with the window and for open.

Cute hotel, ideally located in the heart of Rome. Friendly and caring staff. Rooms are a bit small like most hotels in Europe. Our room smelled like old carpet a little but it wasn’t so bad. Att: They don’t have irons in the rooms or free water bottles.

Very clean and quiet. Great breakfast and bar. You can walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and hop and off bus within minutes.

Staff were fairly friendly, and room was a good size. The bed wasn’t overly comfortable, and the breakfast was sub-par. Also quite a hike out of town, but they have a shuttle that was very useful.

Very courteous and helpful staff make this place well worth it. Right next to a metro stop which can take you all over is also very important. The roof top terrace is very nice with good food.

To be fair, the hotel service staff is great. However the owner that posted the fake pictures on the rooms you get versus what it really is, would be considered bait and switch in the USA. The rooms are fine in general but are very small compared to the pictures they post. Read fine details for actual size of room.

We booked Albergo Ottocento primarily due to its location: we were able to walk to Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Piazza Popolo, Piazza Venezia, Colosseum. The hotel is a 4 star hotel, and despite some need of maintenance, still is in good shape. We were given a room that was accessible by stairs and also had an internal stairacse with the bedroom being at a higher level than the rest of the room. It was a beautiful room but regretfully our knees could not manage the stair climbing. We therefore requested we were moved to another room, which the very polite staff granted us. We thank them for this and for transferring our luggage while we were out. We came back to another beautiful room (on one level and accessible directly by the lift. In both rooms the beds were wonderful (please note that they are hard beds, but very good for waking up feel refreshed) the rooms very quiet, spacious and well lit. Breakfast, included in the price, was better than expected and most items of the buffet were very good (the cheese, cold cuts, cakes, fruit, coffee and juices were all excellent)

Very nice stay in this hotel, it is very clean whether it is the rooms, the bathrooms or the hotel by itself. Breakfast at the buffet very decent. Personally for us the room was quite large… The staff are lovely and very attentive really a good stay at this property I recommend it.

Impeccable except for the view and the flow of hot and cold water the shower makes surprises.

A quirky boutique hotel in a great spot to explore Rome on foot… It is aging a bit on the interior… Had constant issues with the TV… And I didn't spend much time in the room… That was the only frustration… Good place for the cost.

Very close to the Fontana di Trevi. Noise-free and comfortable place. Very good attention. It has a restaurant.

Very good location, staff at the reception very nice, impeccable room, small flat on the service staff at breakfast which does not speak well English and no terrace access when we went in September, pity.

We wanted a hotel that was somewhat close to the many features & sites of Rome. We hoped it would be comfortable, clean & friendly. It was all that and more. Many very nice restaurants are within 2-3 blocks including the hotel's own restaurant with its choice of ground level or rooftop outdoor seating. The beds are spacious and comfortable. The showers are easy to use and the staff was helpful beyond our expectation. To top off your Albergo Ottocento experience they have an excellent, included, full buffet breakfast with eggs, juice, cold cereal, pie slices, buns, tea, coffee, fruit and everything is served fresh. I could not recommend Albergo Ottocento enough!

Price quality, considering also the location, I would say good. In relation to other hotels in Rome of the same band is to take center consideration.

A lovely place to stay! Clean room and excellent service. The location is right down the corner from the Barberini Metro stop… perfect for easy travel to the Vatican. Many nice places to eat right around the corner. Hop on and off tour buses stop right at Piazza Barberini to give you a good overview of the sites. Our room was very nice on the 4th floor. Bathroom was clean and had everything one needed.

We had dinner at the hotel's Restaurant Rossini. The service was lacking. We ordered two pastas that came with cheese even though ideally one of them we would have loved not to put cheese on, ok our bad for not asking. There were two other tables eating. They had bread on the table. We ordered drinks and food and waited for the bread to arrive. It never did. The portions were small. The bacon in the pasta was mostly fat not meat. When we asked for the bill we saw listed 'bread' and were charged 4 Euros for it. We asked for an explanation and we got the following reply "you didn't ask for bread and that is for the coperto. " Other restaurants list the coperto charge on the menu and they don't hide it behind "bread". He tried to play it cool telling us it is our fault for not asking but he didn't even offer it. How could we ask for bread? We felt cheated! He even had had the cheek to sort of offer the bread then after we had finished. Next time better to excuse yourselves for forgetting to bring the bread and putting it on the bill rather than turn the story around.

Well, despite researching as much as was possible, this hotel didn't measure up to the others we stayed at during our trip to Italy. VERY small room, and the most dangerous bathtub I've ever seen — deep, narrow opening to get into it and super-slippery! My companion slipped and got quite the bruise on her leg. There was a notice in the room that no outside food/drink could be brought in, which I totally ignored — I don't want to pay mini-bar prices! The roof restaurant wasn't open (early May) and I'd hoped to enjoy a supper there. It is a serviceable place, but I don't think I'd truly recommend it's accommodations. However, the location is absolutely perfect for a walking tour of Rome and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very good hotel, nice and comfortable, in the center of old rome, the stuff members are one of a kind, each one of them made sure that we will be satisfied and pleased. They are one of the main reasons that next time in rome, I am sure coming back. They are just excellent!

My wife and I stayed here for our Honeymoon in 2014, and we are planning to return in 2016. Excellent and friendly staff; they accommodated our late night arrival near midnight from the airport. Nicely appointed room with reasonable space and very nice bathroom. I kept the windows open all night and was not disturbed by the city sounds. We loved the central location near Piazza Barberini with easy access to the City Metro and many Hop-on-Hop-off Tours are accessible from the Piazza as well. It was an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain, and the Metro made getting to other parts of the city very easy. The price was great for the location and season; we will absolutely return to enjoy ourselves again.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights there. Location is great, food is tasty and staff is very friendly and helping. Rooms are small but very clean and cozy, ours had a hot tub! Great hotel for a great price.

The best this is our 3rd year and we have been in Rome for 7years would not think of any where else the food and the staff is wonderful top shelf.

We stayed three nights at the hotel and very satisfied. The House is clean, the beds are good and the staff friendly and helpful. I can imagine nothing better to this money for Rome.
The breakfast was appealing, and in a pleasant atmosphere, it was nothing special but everything important was present in sufficient quantity and decent quality.
The location is ptimal.

Great hotel ambience, rooms great for small sized accommodation, service outstanding, buffet breakfast top quality and service, staff wonderful, friendly, polite. Hotel caters to executive business class guests but accommodates families to the same degree of service offered to executives. The only set-back for this 5 star hotel is the degree of air conditioning. We found that the AC was not up to north american standards and later found out that the lack of AC in the evening during sleep time was possibily intentional to save on energy versus what we were told (ie that there was mechanical failure). This caused much distress in hot clime of rome at the end of July. It made for a very uncomfortable sleep or no sleep at all for the 4 days. The only way 5 of us could cool down was to constantly take cold showers when in the room. Do not recommend this hotel to those who may suffer from heat challenges.
