The hotel Astoria Garden is a beautiful little 3 star hotel very near Rome's main train station Termini in a quiet side street. The people there are very friendly and extremely helpful, multi lingual service, an elegant atmosphere with a beautiful and peaceful garden to relax in and enjoy. The rooms are very clean, the air conditioning in the bedrooms works very well, we had no problem sleeping in spite of the heat. The breakfast was great. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Definitely would stay here again!

Great reception, small room but comfortable and cozy. Staff and other guests were friendly. Complimentary breakfast from 7-10am. Nice outdoor seating area.

In an emergency had to find a hotel for a single night. They were fully booked but gave me a great single night deal on a "no show" room that was one of the best they had. The building is beautiful and everything was exceptionally clean for the region. Room was small but featured a private patio in hotel's own court yard. All of this was surpassed by the excellent staff on hand. I met several members and all were extremely curious, attentive and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience: the cost of the rooms is excessive compared to the service offered. My room seemed to have been cleaned three months before and not all the staff proved courteous.

It is located very close to Rome's Termini train station but in a particularly quiet area. It has a beautiful patio where you can have breakfast. I recommend it to friends who come to Rome!

Price is right, accommodation very simple but clean.
The hotel bar does not have a card, but you should not be afraid to take a drink in the beautiful garden. It's really not too expensive!
All in all a nice stay.

Very nice hotel. Helpful and courteous staff. Beds are a little hard, but a long walk around the old city will help with that!

Good value for money, view of the convenient location at Termini station, university, and some of the monuments. Important. The staff is very friendly. The basic rooms but with everything you need. The area is quiet. Definitely recommended!

Hotel has tiny rooms in a central location that is convenient for the exploration of Rome. It is directly across from a high school, so expect noise in the morning. Also the kids used the street outside our window as their smoking area, which didn't smell so great inside. There was no refrigerator in our room, but we latched the shutter and put a couple bottles of Peroni in the space between it & the window, creating what I like to call our "Roman refrigerator", & it worked pretty well on those cold nights. The breakfast offered had decent variety & was really essential fuel for our long days visiting the Colosseum, Vatican City, etc. Some of the front desk clerks are friendlier than others, I actually heard the one grumpy guy tell a Japanese guest to "be quiet", which I found unacceptable.

Simple budget hotel with very good location to explore the city… 5 minutes walk to the metro and 10 minutes walk from the train station… The room was very clean. Simple breakfast buffet… Nice staff.

The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. We have found the location to be excellent for access to public transportation and food. The only negative that I have is kind of a big one. Even though smoking is not allowed in the building, the breakfast area wreaks of cigarettes. It's almost as if someone is smoking at the next table.

Hotel booked for a short trip. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast is typical Italian. Train and bus station 5 minutes away. Direct connection to both airports every 30 min. Many attractions can be reached on foot or by bus, while shopping and eating delicious Italian. Overall a successful stay.

I am traveling alone, and I have been staying in different hotels and always satisfied with the rooms. Alone yet, the rooms are always normal size. This hotel put me in a very, very very tiny room like a closet and the bed size Is like a bunk bed, really small, and there is a hole on the floor that they just cover with carpet and it's really disturbing. Heater is not working, according to the front receptionist, they are waiting for the city of Rome permit or approval which is stranged. Too cold at night time… oh when you take a shower. The temperature of the water goes to hot, then cold, then hot then cold, front desk says cause other guests are showering. I don't know if that reason will fly. I asked to be transferred to another room, which they approved on the 2nd day… still no heat, room still very, very small. At least no hole on the floor in this 2nd room… on the positive side, the employees are great… but I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Single room very small. On the locus you sit very uncomfortable, since the wall is 20cm in front of one. But very friendly staff.

We stayed from Sep 8 to September 11th at this hotel, the front desk staff were excellent with us, they were very friendly! But when we got home we went noticing so much lost clothes! Most of it was taken out of the laundry! They knew how to choose because everything they stole was good and expensive brands, this hotel did not put tripmasters in the package, advise them to look good because with the valuable things I lost ubiera chosen a place where Ubiera paid more and not lose everything that I stole,

Horrible experience… the water would change temperature every few seconds to either freezing or boiling hot while taking shower… management said a plumber will fix it… 3 night of nightmare… stay away.

Nice Hotel Service central location.

The bed is very uncomfortable. Its very hard. Its like laying on the floor. The TV in my room does not have a clear picture. The shower door dosent close and the water temperature goes from ok to scalding then too cold. Room is is small. Its very difficult for two people with large suitcases. There is no place to put the suitcase. The decor is outdated. The only good thing I can say is that the room was clean.

Room ok. Location ok. Breakfast average. Wifi signal in room (next to garden) beyond awful. Bad room location if you need Wi-Fi to work.

Beautiful place with a gorgeous private garden. Amazing considering that it is a 3 minute walk to Termini station.

Small hotel not far from Termini station. My room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful Nice interior garden, a little corner of greenery and tranquility.

A short walk to Termini station, cheap, clean and tidy. On the whole it stands out the kindness of the staff! mattress so so, but for a few nights it's fine.

I wouldn't be staying here again. Hotel is dated. When we walked into the room it smelled like intense chemicals from their cleaning products. We've opened ask the windows, and an hour later it started smelling like sewer, the smell was coming from the shower. Breakfast was pretty bad, cheap, high in carbs, the worst coffee you can find in Italy. Location was OK. Close to the train and metro stations. Not many good restaurants around though.

The room was clean but this hotel has clearly seen better days. It looks like it used to be very nice but is now succumbed to age. The breakfast is alright, but not really worth the extra charge as you can find much better near by. The location is about half an hour walking distance from any main tourist attractions but only a stone's throw from the termini train station, making transfers to and from the hotel simple. There are no minibars in the rooms so no refrigerator (I tend to be one who uses the fridge to store things that are coming home with me or snacks or water). All in all our experience was fine, but nothing more than that.

Room was very small, but is perfect for we only stay one night. Staff very friendly and helpful, after a travel day at providing drinks. Classic European-style palace style, great location, within walking distance you can reach the railway station. Breakfast is served in the basement, is very rich, cappuccino is very good. Interesting courtyard and garden, brought peace and quiet to the Roman times.

Breakfast selection, bad small no bath available, W-lan in the rooms is not stable, nue you could not heat 2 german-speaking channel, because apparently this is only possible from mid November, due hotel bar will be made by the receptionist with this although polite courteous but not familiar, very close to the Centre all within walking distance. Who only cheap sleep in the vicinity looking for Centre is well advised.

Hotel was carefully chosen due to location away from the hustle of the Termini area and our plan was to spend several days there. In the immediate vicinity there are many, many hotels to chose from but the Hotel Astoria Garden seemed the best to fit our needs. How wrong I was! The staff was not just rude but inhospitable. While the room was average, after one night/day we decided to check out and find another hotel. In our 10 days/9 nights in Italy we never had a bad experience at the other location/hotel. I would not recommend the Astoria Garden simply due to their rude and unfriendly attitude. Almost as if they did not want us to stay there nor did they seem to want anyone wanting to stay there.

We spent 3 nights in the hotel from 6 2 14. We were very impressed by the tasteful ambience. Everything was very clean. The room was well heated (24 ° c) the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast with 2 sausages, cheese, jam, honey. Breads, kl. Cake, coffee, (very good) tea, milk and fruit juices as well as hard boiled eggs, cornflakes and cereals as well as. Yogurt, varied and tasty. If we should once again come to Rome we would live very happy there again also because of the convenient location. Sights were within walking distance.

I was very happy with our experience at Astoria Garden Hotel. The rooms were very clean especially the bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent. Perfect location as it was easy to get to the places we wanted to visit.

Stayed here in late July 2011 and had tried many others in the area. Even without the price being factored its three star rating is an understatement, they service was incredible and always beyond expectation. Their rooms were well suited and clean. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and I will definitely stay there again when I return. Can't say enough about them! The price was a steal for the location and service. If you're looking at them as a possibility do it.

The super friendly staff! The hotel is very well maintained, during our presence even the shutters were dismantled and scrubbed! Unfortunately the Chambermaid are not quite so neat. The rooms are tiny and dark. We have failed somehow, to open the shutters, so we have to sleep every day. Breakfast somewhat one-sided, I can no salami and boiled eggs see more. The bread (only white bread in the offer) was always curiously old-fashioned. But the small garden is cozy, you can relax there great. At any time.

Deserving of its good reviews, this was one of the better hotels we stayed at in Rome. Easily the best I have experienced in the Termini area: choose it over others on the surrounding streets. Although we had the smallest room available, our stay was nonetheless comfortable and the staff exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful.

We stayed here Sept. 3, 2008 for 3 nights. It is a great 3 star hotel. The grounds are spotless, as are the rooms. The staff is helpful and speak English. Even though it is walking distance to the Roma Termini (the main Train Station in Rome) it is not in a seedy area at all. It does not have a little refrigerator in the room however. So, be aware. The breakfast is absolutely amazingly good. Although they do not make the cappucino for you, it comes from an automated machine, and is not good. So for 1 Euro, after breakfast we would stand at a bar (which is the economical and the Italian way to drink your morning cappacino). That is the only complaint. And it was nothing we couldn't work around. We Americans have to go with the flow when travelling abroad.
