Litus Roma Hostel Hostel

I came by chance and went back there for three days in July 2018.
It's true, it's not a new facility and maybe it's improveable, but I answer for those people who judge negative, thinking of finding a 5-star hotel, it's the people who reside who are dirty and messy. The staff does everything they can to keep the property at its best, and honestly it's not like they define it in negative as cleanliness. The staff is not indisposed, indeed they are always available to find the right solution. So dear dreamer sad ladies and especially sentencing, if you want a 5-star place there are plenty for host, just pay. I just wanted to point it out, which is always a personal judgment, because I think you deserve it. That's it.

I enjoyed my stay here. Being next to the beach was really cool because each evening I fell asleep listening to a band play Latin music. With the windows open and a nice breeze to boot, that was my favorite part. And the people who worked there were way friendlier than the people I met at the previous hotels I was at. The only issue was a wonky bathroom shower and toilet. Not a big deal, though. Glad I got to stay here! BTW I was told a taxi early in the AM would be 30 euros but was charged 35 euros. So, if you are leaving for the airport at O Dark Thirty make sure you get your price locked down. Our cab was also 20 minutes late. He only showed up after being called. Not a reflection on the hostel just some info.

Great location in front of the beach, clean and light rooms, gentile staff, good price, you can pay by card, bar and canteen (breakfast included), everything great!

Two stars just because the price for a single person is unbeatable… For the rest if you are in two I personally wouldn't go anywhere else.

A very simple, yet nice hostel. Very clean. Truly far from the airport. No early morning public transportation to the airport. Town would be nice in warm weather.

The Litus is a structure located on the seafront of Ostia its entrance is placed behind the structure by the access that leads to the Elsa Morante library. You can stay overnight at very cheap prices considering the central location and well connected by public transport, as well as a large parking space inside. For recreation It offers a billiard room a cinema various lounges on each floor the rooms unpretentious but large and clean.

Dirty experience from NN repeat.

Super quality price. If you are looking for budget accommodation, this is for you, especially if you do public competitions for the Guardia di Finanza (Physical tests centre at 35 minutes by bus and hospital for visits to 15/20 minutes on foot). The property is rather old but well kept, it has bars and small lounge in all floors. Free Wi-Fi but only takes good on the ground floor, breakfast included in the price. To report the entrance that is not on the waterfront but you have to do all the tour of the building.

Four stars for the staff. The poor hotel does not make it anymore would need to renovate and reclaim a real shame because the location is nice.

I love the size of the place. It feels like an old palace or castle. High ceilings and the lack of visitors after the Christmas made my stay very enjoyable. We hade a huge room with only 2 from 6 beds occupied and our own shower and bathroom (also big in size). For the price of 18 Euro a night even breakfast was included. They changed my bed sheets every night even I don't need it (but it was nice). For the quality and a price the best place I ever stayed. The Metro to Rome was super cheap and just in 15min walk from the place. Love it. Wanna come back.

Not the most clean, atmospheric and attractive hostel, but close enough to the underground station leading you almost directly to the ancient city.

A very nice and cozy Hostel! The owners are very kind, the weather is fantastic!

This hotel has a great view over the ocean. It’s located in a good place in which you can travel fairly easily to Rome and other places. And the staff can speak English better than all the other Italian people :) But there are a view things that didn’t go so smooth. My bed was located on the floor because there weren’t enough beds in the room. After I went to the front desk for 3 times I had to clean my own bed. The cleaners didn’t touch my bed for the whole time! They didn’t react for al those three times I asked them to clean my bed. So I had to get my own clean sheets. There was also a break in because this neighbor hood isn’t safe. So don’t come here with your children. They lay the keys on the front desk so anyone can walk inside and pick a key up. But there are camera’s located all over the place. But overall it’s worth the price if you want to spend a view days in Rome.

Very old building, but good for the price. Very large dorm rooms. Relaxed staff. Not much of people around. Very close to the mediocre beach of ostia lido.

Hello the view is lovely! I love the sea! The room sober, bright, kept in order, the staff friendly, willing to solve the event necessities of the moment. I would stay here again all summer! I recommend it.

I really liked the hostel. The reception is open 24x7 and they are very helpful. The place is huge and very comfortable beds and rooms. Breakfast is free as well. Amazing place to stay for the price. Would definitely come back again. Only drawback would be that it is a little far from the center of the city.

It is very spacious, clean, economic and above all the people that work there are fabulous and very friendly. Make one feel as at your HOME!

Right beside the sea. The staff was nice. The dorm was fine for the price. The building is ugly tho and very badly illuminated.

Great hostel it was very clean and lots of facilities in the hostel it self such as a cinema room and gaming room (included table tennis and pool). The beds were comfortable and the actual hostel itself was located right in front of the public beach and only a 10-15 min walk from ostia centro train station. One small Issue was that the Wi-Fi wasn't great only partially working near the reception but this seems to be consistent in all hostels. Breakfast was also free of charge (make sure you tick the box) which was a nice additional service.

Not bad overall, some general discomfort but overall more positive things than negative.

Very big. Weren't many people staying at the time I went which was nice. They gave us complimentary breakfast every morning and it was a good selection of pastries, breads, and a few cereals. There was also water, juice, and coffee for free as well. There was Wi-Fi in the lobby, but not in the rooms. The rooms were tidied between the two nights I stayed, I wasn't aware of this beforehand so I'd warn not to leave items on the bed. All doors lock (keep your key with you! ), you turn in your key to the front desk whenever you leave the building, they have security cameras, and the front door to the entire building is kept lock and you have to be let in. I felt pretty secure and had no problems.

A bit on the pricey side, but you cant beat the location. Clean, friendly staff, in-house bar, beach view.
