If I could give it 0 stars I would give it. Absolutely not recommended. The pool is in an internal courtyard near the road where you can hear the cars passing by, noisy, especially IN THE SHADE ALL DAY if not in the morning. Forget about sunbathing! The most absurd and unacceptable thing is that only 6 sunbeds are available to lie down, which are all occupied by 1 or two families clearly, all day long. According to them how should I enjoy the pool, service for which, clearly, this hotel costs more? The answer is… put on the IRON CHAIRS. Congratulations! to be avoided! never again!

The management of the owners is exemplary. Staff organized, friendly, extremely helpful and competent. Sartorial accuracy in the organization of Congress events. Modern and very well equipped rooms. Congratulations!

Very nice hotel rooms, unfortunately wellness area is completely too, which was not on Booking. Great outdoor pool.

Already 2nd time here. Bus to city Centre in front of hotel. Nice pool, good breakfast. Garage for the motorbike.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend to spend New Year's Eve in Verona. The hotel's location is not central but close enough to the center (9 minutes drive) and Verona Train Station brings New, plus there is a bus stop in front of the hotel entrance. A fairly spacious, clean and manicured room with a bathtub. The hotel has a SPA, a gym, an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor pool. The free parking near the hotel is quite small but if you are lucky enough to find one it is very convenient, otherwise you have to go into the paid one. Satisfied.

The room was very clean and it also had a Jacuzzi inside the room :) the breakfast was amazing and the dinner was also very good. Highly recommended.

The hotel has an underground car park which you can use for 6 Euro per night but there is a free car park on Via San Marco which usually has spaces and is just opposite an entrance to the hotel. Our room was fine with English channels on the TV, a comfy bed, a fridge and safe and tea making facilities. The bathroom was fine if rather cramped and everything was clean and working. Breakfast was very good with an excellent assortment of hot & cold food and staff who would make you an espresso or cappuccino rather than using the drinks machine. The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to the arena in the evening for the opera and then will pick you up later. We decided however to park our car park in the underground car park in Piazza Citadella in the morning, look around Verona then get a taxi back to the hotel for a rest before using the shuttle bus to go back to the arena and using our own car to return. This worked out very well and the parking from 10am to 12:45 am was only 18 euro and it meant we didnt have to queue for the shuttle bus back — from leaving the arena to being back at the hotel only took 25 mins. The hotel pool was good with plenty of loungers and tables around the pool where you could relax and get drinks from the hotel bar. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with good English and we shall definitely return here next time we go back for another opera.

Beautiful but a little abandoned structure, makes out is not inviting but inside it shows in another way. Staff attentive and polite, we found ourselves to be real good. Good Breakfast, we also enjoyed the SPA and the gym. The Center is reached by foot if you want to walk, Otherwise The buses. I will be back.

The conference rooms are spacious and soundproofed. The rooms I did not visit. The exterior is pleasant furnished with sun-loungers and breakfast tables.

Clean, comfortable spacious rooms. Staff warm, helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed outdoor pool to cool off and relax between visits to the city centre. Staff provided map of city and on it was marked cycle route so we could ride right into the centre in just over 10mins. Breakfast good, would have liked more choices of bread as I love variety but plenty of food on offer.

I have attended several conferences at this hotel, although I have never stayed there.
As for this aspect I can say that the spaces and the organization is excellent, the conference area can be divided by panels that soundproof very well.

This is a hotel that I know is located at the gates of Verona (very convenient to reach by bus/taxi). Great room. Breakfast I highly recommend also seen the affordable prices!

I was at this hotel for a jsday convention. I found the staff very helpful excellent service and good food. A day I have to spend the night here for another conference on Phpday. I will definitely update the review even with the room service.

Nice rooms and very professional staff. The event was handled gracefully. The only cons was exterior look and placement which is a bit old.

Good experience, accommodation the Spa is located inside. Less crowded and great to relax. Near the hotel there are bus stops that you can reach the city easily. The breakfast format continental is very good and plentiful with different choices. Staff were very helpful.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately I could not use the additional offers.

Excellent Hotel service competent and professional, in the rooms there is no lack of comfort, the food is very good, the property offers a convenient garage and right below the hotel, even the halls. Meetings are equipped and modern, with ultrafast connections, without neglecting the location connected very well with the center, and the great price. Huge and beautiful SPA. For sure to pass to Verona I will still be a guest from them.

Hotel 4 stars very nice, spotless and fragrant, the breakfast is great ranging from salty to sweet, impeccable service and nice interior bar. Complete and super clean SPA and gym with technogym equipment. If I go back to Verona, the Hotel San Marco is the place where, I will book X sleep.

Hotel located about 25 minutes walk from the centre of Verona. Quiet area and no traffic noise despite the proximity to a main road. The hotel is equipped with free outdoor parking and an indoor fee. The hotel has a wellness centre and a fitness area. Breakfast included very plentiful with wide choice of food and drinks. In the lobby there is also a bar where aperitifs and cocktails are served.
Clean and modern rooms, mattresses and pillows a bit uncomfortable in my opinion. There is a safe and a small bar. Free Wi-Fi and TV in all rooms.
Friendly staff and always ready to respond to the requests of their customers.

Great little hotel. Rooms adequate and upgrade got us a bath jacuzzi. We went early December midweek and had the hotel and spa facilities all to ourselves. Spa is well maintained and clean.

Good evening I returned today from a night spent at this hotel according to me to call it hotel is too much.
I made a birthday present to my partner is wandering on booking I appeared this hotel with spa and to see the photos are really very beautiful (done very well), because it really is not so… cmq, as soon as we arrive in Verona type in the browser, and we come in front of a dirty hotel, neglected and abandoned, we arrive in front of the door with a written sign that the entrance is on the opposite side, then pick up the luggage and make the rounds, arrived at destination nn you find a parking, there is one in front but It's always full and a few parking spaces.
Finally you get to the entrance and it really looks like a 2 star hotel abandoned a walkway thrown there with bricks resting them so much for, the sign half for air and half in the ground leaning against the wall with all a small green space abandoned at the entrance, We enter and the reception at the Hall… I state that having been a gift then surprise, I recommended several times both by phone and by email that my partner NN should never have come to know how much I had spent, during the days at the Tel with them I was told that the rooms were being delivered at 11 o'clock. 30 then arrived on site at 11 we are told that they were delivered at 14 o'clock.

Fantastic experience, really comfortable and comfortable room, the Jacuzzi by a remarkable added value. Staff really courteous and helpful, from receptionist to lady who does housekeeping wishing you a good day when crossing the corridor. Even the breakfast I liked, certainly have a considerable go away but the maids are taken up always courteous. Spa of all respect in which nothing is missing, if you then want to stay in a more intimate environment there is always the jacuzzi in the room.

Although a bit far from the center is very well served by public transport (the two stops are within walking distance of the Hotel) that have ran almost every 15 minutes.

Nice clean hotel and some of the rooms are newly refurbished. Great choice at breakfast. Very good drinks. The hosts and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I chose it for its location not central but close enough to the center and the train station Verona Porta Nuova, so that we could walk, also there is the bus 11 directly at the entrance of the hotel, excellent to turn with the means Public.
From the outside does not make good the idea, various pieces various styles are intertwined including an Art Nouveau chalet, inside instead it is a structure with a reception, bar and waiting area with sofas, the staff is very friendly and ready to help you, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are very comfortable with Wi-Fi free, clean, mine had a not very large but functional bathroom with multiple jets shower.
The breakfast room is very impersonal, the breakfast is to self-service abundant with all of everything with vending machines dispensing coffee and cappuccino, good croissants.
The hotel has a great SPA which I have tried and enjoyed with also the gym.
Good value for money.

The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, we never ate in the restaurant but breakfast was also fine nothing spectacular. However the coffee at breakfast is awful, Nescafe machines which somehow make something that tastes worse than instant. The other downside is the traffic noise which starts early and ends late, if you're a light sleeper or want to relax its not good at all. On the upside it's a short walk from St. Zenos and from there into the centre of Verona.

No restaurant in the hotel. Shower was broken and awkward. It was an okay stay.

Loved this place! Great outdoor pool and HEATED INDOOR POOL and jacuzzi and fitness center and lobby. Our room was luxurious (ours had a jacuzzi) with a balcony overlooking the pool, with a large bed, safe (which we didn't use), small refrigerator, hair dryer, bathroom with bidet and makeup mirror and sink. Desk staff was friendly and affable. A big plus of the San Marco is its location to the heart of Verona (an interesting city with much history) plus being a block or two away from a laundry (lavanderia in Italian), a supermarket, shops and restaurants. The downtown bus is right across the street. Highly recommended!

This is a really lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent customer service. The Gluten free breakfast was brilliant and although they did not have a restaurant for dinner, the staff called a nearby pizzeria and ensured that I would be able to eat there. On the last night (a Sunday) we booked the spa. You get 2 hours and we were the only people in there. The facilities were clean, it was well equipped and excellent value for money compared with my local Spa in the UK. The hotel does have limited parking for a fee but we were able to park on the street just outside the hotel for free. The only advice I would give about this hotel is that it is located just outside the city of Verona. It is apparently walk-able but the staff advised the local bus which goes from just outside the hotel. It takes about 20 minutes to get into Verona on the bus and it is better to get tickets in bulk from a Tobacconist rather than buying on the bus as it is much cheaper that way. We chose this rather than driving as there is limited parking in the city.

Starting from the spa, really nice and big with more relaxation areas several relaxing showers, swimming pool with waterfalls and jets of water, whirlpool pool, sauna, Turkish bath tea area (among other things also good) and other really all very nice stuff.
But unfortunately all this relaxation is interrupted by a fastidiosissimo continuous noise due to I think of aeration, in almost every point of the spa was felt, especially in the relaxation areas where there should be a greater silence.
Very friendly and kind to the reception, a little ' less to the bar, which for the welcome aperitif the girl seemed almost annoyed of our presence.
The room was magnificent, shutters that do not let in even minimal light, so goodbye to those annoying rays of sunshine in the face in the morning, the TV was quite large, the bathroom instead was fabulous.
Jacuzzi plus shower really very nice.
The breakfast buffet was not bad, in my opinion however they could add something different, like scrambled eggs for example.
If it wasn't for that noise at the spa and I would give it 5 stars because it was all perfect.

I was at San Marco Hotel for a two-Days conference. The welcome was excellent and the buffet and lunch were fine. Maybe the hotel is a bit far from the center of Verona.

Rooms are always too hot. Simple structure, works fine but not that great.

Spa very big minus just a towel. Great breakfast and very varied the drink you have to ask the staff because those machines aren't much good. Clean and big rooms.

The outside is not a much. But it is very nice inside, nice spa very accurate although small. The deluxe room! I'd recommend it. A little far from the Center. To spend a nice weekend definitely.

The place has seen better days and is a bit away from the city centre, to which you have a 15 minute bus ride (of reckless bus driving — hold on tight! ). In our bath, several things were broken when we arrived, and the carpet was run down. Noisy street. Breakfast was good & parking was free. Very clean & very kind English speaking personal. Got a sweet deal for 60€/room of two, so this was really good. But at the normal rate a bit over priced.

Had a wonderful weeks stay at Hotel Marco, agree with previous comments, location not great, staff were good though. The restaurant was very expensive and disappointing, (our most expensive and worst meal of the holiday. ) The spa and gym £15 per day was very expensive and so did not partake. The outdoor pool was good, either busy are deserted. The bar was quiet so spent most of the time in Verona, a beautiful city.

Good: spa and sauna area, decent bed. bad: rather grotty location, overpriced, breakfast decidedly average, unfriendly staff. International TV channels present, but not pre-programmed. Standard room rather grotty. Deluxe room ok. ugly: noise, noise, noise We stayed at this hotel twice, on cycling trips for the sole reason of using the spa and pool area. To be honest, the spa is *only* reason I would have to stay here. THis is sadly a very typical italian hotel, (overpriced, poor service, apathetic staff) which obviously lives off the opera tourists. It's a 15 minute walk into town, rather dodgy area though. Certainly would not leave my car here. Still, I think it's the best hotel in Verona.
