In Venice, we stayed at Hotel Casanova. Very Good Location. Hotel is 5 mins from the nearest water bus stop, and 2 mins from St Mark Square. The hotel is in a 500 year old building that has been completely renovated. Decent size room. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. Breakfast was included and met our needs.

Great location, clean and comfy, though the air conditioning was not working. Great value overall.

It's a great hotel. Not a good connection to the Internet. The place is lovely, the location is gorgeous. Amenities in the room. It was a very hot period, however the air conditioning worked without interruption, a good pressure of water in the shower. Perfect cleanliness, wonderful staff. A regular breakfast. Nearby is a beautiful Columbino restaurant.

Very nice and accommodating staff! The place is upscale, almost to a fault, but it's hard to feel anything but pampered.

Very good location, in the heart of the high-end shopping area near San Marco. Actual hotel interiors look grand and the room is nice, clean and complete. Had a very comfortable stay. 1 star deficit just because noise can be heard from outside the room even if all windows are closed and reception is kind of small so if there are many guests trying to check-in, the room gets crowded easily.

Beside the location everything turn out to be bad, the bed is hard and painfull to the back at night. The servise is bad — the air conditioner doesnt work, it is suffocating in the room and the hot water takes like 20min until its get warm, and when I said it to the reception they said there is nothing to do and that how the hotel works. And the breakfast have so little options and even the options arent so good. I was very disappointed and dont recommend this hotel to anyone. Defenetly the worst hotel Ive ever been! And Ive been in a lot of hotels. And Im not one of those who complain about everything.

No Kettle. They charge you apart a tax per person. It was very central and the rooms were very nice.

I found this hotel really nice, comfortable, warm and welcoming. At 2 steps from St. Mark's Square, the reception staff is very polite and polite, the rooms are in perfect Venetian style, very large compared to the rest of the hotel which is quite small, and with abundant velvet. Comfortable and large bed, in my room there were even 2 TVs and a sofa area. Also the bathroom very large. Be warned because, if you book it on Booking, they say it is a 4 star hotel, while in fact the stars are 3.

Perfect in all: the hospitality and the welcome are of a high standard. Great breakfast and rooms. A few steps from P. Zza San Marco.

Hotel very well placed staff very welcoming the breakfast is plentiful and varied, the Conso at the bar of the hotel are not very expensive and the room is impeccable in the layout as the cleanliness I recommend!

The hotel is very good. The staff was kind and even the breakfast was good enough. The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The position is good as well. The hotel is located behind San Marco Square. The only bad thing is regarding the numbers of the stars. This hotel is a 3 stars, as reported on the keychain of the room. Well, I'm leaving 3 stars only for this reason.

Nice hotel, impeccable service, impeccable cleanliness and comfort. Good breakfast. Well located, close to the Vaporetto station, St Mark's Square, it's easy to radiate for sightseeing. I'll be back!

I do not give 5 stars just because of the fact that in my room there was smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, I just hope it is in only one room!
In any case, the hotel is beautiful, Venetian style both as far as Hall and Bar, a little more modern in the breakfast room!

Amazing that there may be such a spectacular hotel at such a reasonable price just a few meters from St. Mark's Square. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms and the service are perfect.

This is a good hotel if you want to stay near center of Venice. It's just behind the St Mark square surrounded by good restaurants.

Conveniently located near St. Mark's Square, tourists stream loudly through the narrow alleys of the hotel. On the 3rd floor, however, it sounds like the Horde is running right through the room.
Furthermore, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good.
The following is to be said about the bathroom: The musty smell has its origin in the first place, and on closer inspection there are also hairs from the previous tenant on the ground next to external footprints. The coronation is then the absolute no go… the shower curtain!
Breakfast included means: basket with buns (hard) and fatty croissants as well as coffee — end.
Ergo — one night endured and then quickly moved out and not far away at a renowned hotel chain the second night spent.

Nice decoration, average hotel. We were forced to change hotels after 2 days as the bedding is really way too firm. It is too hot, 24 to 26 ° in the room heating off.

Excellent location affordable prices… cleaning and maintenance of the room not at the top.

When we arrived in front of the hotel booked, the Casanova, it was closed for works with a word on the door and a phone number to join. Fortunately, street traders helped us… By telephone, we were asked to go to another hotel, the Alcyone, at 5 minutes. Arrived at this hotel, we are shown a third hotel, the beautiful Arti… Not at all in the same neighborhood… arrived at the door of the hotel booked at 9:30 to finally have the right hotel at 11:30… In conclusion, 3 hotels, a morning of lost and an unwanted neighborhood… (We had to be towards St Mark's Square and we finished to the Académia! ) And no excuse, no commercial gesture on the part of the patron of these 3 hotels (but we feel happy because it has a 4 ° hotel, the Belle Epoque, and we would take a ride too). We find it lamentable not to have been warned of the change of our hotel before our departure… So I do not recommend these 4 hotels.

Horrible experience! I made a reservation 6 months in advance only to arrive to an abandoned building and an envelope with my name on it. They are closed for reservations and booked me in another hotel 20 min walk away in a non central location. The new hotel is comparable but the location is very far from restaurants, shops and attractions. I am shocked of the unprofessionalism of this hotel. A true profesional company would have emailed me / called me beforehand to let me know and ask if it was ok to re book me in another hotel or offer a refund. Will never recommend to anyone as they don't even show their face. The new hotel says they are unaffiliated and hotel Casanova simply made a reservation and paid.

Rather basic accommodation but it is situated in a great position (4 mins walk and you are in the middle of St Mark's Square). Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Staff were helpful.

An old hotel just at the end of Piazza San Marco, characteristic just because old, in my stay they were renovating.

Very well placed but a bit noisy at night. The breakfast buffet is quite correct on the other hand sleeping is average. 24 hour reception very convenient.

Small hotel without pretension very nice and conveniently located one minute walk from Piazza San Marco. The staff are available and friendly, the room made daily and the buffet, at breakfast, is very well stocked. We can regret the sometimes dilapidated aspect of the hotel, but this only defect fades very quickly.

The hotel is old but clean. The best location 1 minute walk from St. Mark's square. They should renovate facilities. Normal bed. The basic buffet breakfast.

13 3 2016 Hotel Casanova is clean, neat, courteous, friendly, very good location, breakfast value for money very good and the staff is always very on it carefully to help them! We felt like Kings! A very big thank you to the entire staff of hotel Casanova. Very much recommended!

Fairly good hotel. Well located couldn't be better. Wi-Fi only in the reception and in the breakfast. Shower means chota but pulls away. 4 leivitas.

Great location, great price, easy access to all locations around and easy to get back to we didn't get lost once. Only downside is that there are no coffee nor tea making facilities in thd rooms, apart from that you cannot fault this hotel, good little restaurant opposite for basic meals.

The rooms were kind of small for the price, but this is VENICE. Breakfast was free and pretty good. Wifi is only available downstairs in the lobby, so don't get your hopes up for in room Wi-Fi. There was a window in the bathroom that made the room very noisy sometimes due to the crowded street below. Its really nice how close the hotel is to San Marcs Square, and just about everything else. At the end of my visit I did run into an issue with the manager though. I left my cell phone behind in the room, and they found it after I left. But the man wanted my to come back and get it (I do live in America. ) I told him I would pay for postage if he'd mail it to me, but he refused. Very uncooperative staff. Thankfully a friend of a friend lives in Italy and picked it up and mailed it to me! Terrible customer service period.

I suppose I should not write a review for this hotel, for even though we booked over a month in advance, we were told they were full and we were walked down to another hotel. The beds were awful; mattresses hard and our third bed actually folded down from the wall! It was on a very busy street in Venice and we were woken up several times during the night by the sound of either people clacking by with their rolling suitcases, or drunk people yelling right under our window. In addition, we all woke up with bug bites, which I pray were from mosquitoes and not the bedding! For what we paid for this hotel, I am sorely disappointed and highly recommend that you find another booking if you are going to Venice.

Superb location, 3 min walk to St Marks Sq. Expensive and rooms really small. But thats venice. My room was smaller that what it looks like in the pictures on the we. Easy to get to from airport. Everything in walking distance. Went in high season paid abt eur 200 per night. Staff helpful. Breakfast. Basic as usual and same every day. So a bit boring for long stay.
