Large and beautiful rooms with tasteful furnishings. Very friendly staff. Had also made very good restaurant recommendations. Good location between Rialto and San Marco and yet a little away from the large tourist crowds. Also suitable for families. Breakfast was delicious.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Horribly unprofessional. I was supposed to stay at this hotel beginning of May 2020 and I was not able to due to Covid 19. Instead of issuing me a refund all I kept getting were lies and dishonesty from everyone at the hotel about why they could not process it. They also kept changing their story. I still did not receive anything from them. Outragesly bad customer service and the way the business is run. 0 stars.

… my husband and I loved everything about the Ruzzini Palace Hotel… adorable rooms, so romantic! … super friendly staff, most helpful concierge (even set up travel, via vaporetto and private driver to the airport, all right from the canal platform at the back of the hotel) … great breakfast and hotel bar (perfect place to recap our fantastic day in Venice, chatting with the bartender, noshing on the aperitivo while sipping prosecco) … loved the historical and architectural aspects of the hotel also, it's darling! … walking distance to some great restaurants and all the sights… loved the open square right outside the front doors… thanks for making our 30 year anniversary more memorable! … definate 5 star! …

This was a last minute booking but the best decision made to make it a memorable stay in Venice. Great service and superb suite. Outstanding customer service from Guerino our fabulous bartender who guided us through some lovely gins and arranged a private cocktail party for our guests in our suite. The Concierge arranged a private boat with champagne for us. We will definitely go back.

Highly recommend, quiet atmosphere, clean. Very great staff! Close to all the shops. Had an great outside view to the water canals where we can see the gondolas pass by. Shower is not made for tall people. My 6 foot hubby wet the floor the 1st day we were there. We had a great experience!

Amazing hotel. One of the best we have stayed at in our travels across Europe thus far. Special thanks to all staff (especially the barman), they made our stay truly memorable. We will be back, thanks Ruzzini Palace!

The Ruzzini Palous was fabulous… The Hotel, the staff were marvelous. Top notch service and wonderful decor in rooms. I stayed in the Suite overlooking the canal… everything including the balcony were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this fine Hotel. 5***** stars…

What a charming hotel. We had three lovely nights here with the most helpful and friendly staff. Our Junior suite was elegant, beautiful and incredibly relaxing overlooking the square. A really special break.

Our stay at Ruzzini Palace was amazing! Our room was so grand that my children thought we were royalty for a few nights. Perfectly located we were able to walk to all the hot spots. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Historic and stylish at the same time. Quiet rooms, although centrally located. Has even it's own backdoor watertaxi entry. Nice breakfast buffet and a small bar. The front desk is serviced 24 hours. I probably would not consider to look for an alternative hotel next time.

Just returned from a 3 night stay and our first trip to Venice, an anniversary present from our sons. Such a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room was gorgeous and the hotel is I. Such a great location, no more than 10 mins from the grand canal/Doge Palace. Will definitely visit Venice again and will certainly stay at the Ruzzini Palace again.

We spent 2 nights here on our tour through Italy and were very happy with the accommodations overall. Location is excellent. Small little plaza away from the major crowds and close to some of the best restaurants in Venice. Hotel staff were awesome and even fixed my luggage that was broken in flight free of charge. We had 2 issues with Ruzzini. I was under the impression breakfast was included and they hit us with a 20 EURO per person fee for the breakfast. The breakfast was good but given other reviews, it seemed to me it was part of the deal. Another thing was the AC unit was pretty terrible but it didn't affect things too badly.

We have been going down to Ruzzini for many years and we are trying to keep him loyal, despite the difficulties of availability. This very well located hotel, high class but discreet, and its staff are of excellent level. The few times the calendar did not allow us to stay there, we were able to compare it to other establishments and each time the comparison was to its advantage. The quality of the services, the warm and competent reception of its staff are its rare assets… to very soon Alain FONT.

Our room was located on the top floor with a view of the Campanile and others. The domes of St. Mark's Basilica, dreamlike! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Delicious breakfast. Good location at Campo S. Maria Formosa, just a 10 minute walk from St. Mark's Square and others. To the Rialto Bridge.

Absolutely amazing hotel, staff were fantastic. The location is wonderful, rooms were beautiful and service was outstanding. This is the second time I have visited and I cannot wait to return.

The hotel is really well placed 5 min from St Mark's Square and 5 min from Rialto in a very quiet place. The hotel and the staff at small care for us and the bartender who made us great cocktails great room super quiet. An unforgettable stay.

The bath didn't fill properly, the shower leaked on the floor. The guest upstairs was extremely noisy and the hotel said they couldn't do anything to help, so we could not sleep for most of the night. The next morning we changed rooms, but that was at our inconvenience, not the guest who was causing the issue. The free trip to Murano was "free" to an extent. We were then left abandoned on the island with no way to get back unless we bought return tickets from a ticket office, and it was very difficult to find an open ticket office. The glass factory tour that was free, was just an elaborate way to try and get us to buy basic glass ornaments for extortionate prices. Overall the room was clean and comfortable, there was a safe and the breakfast was good value for money and tasty. But other parts of the service were not as great as I had hoped them to be.

Hotel in historical Palace recently renovated place in the beautiful Campo S. Maria Formosa in the Castello Sestriere.

I have stayed at the Ruzzini twice now and would recommend it. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is plentiful and tasty! You will not be disappointed!

Great hotel in the center. Just far enough from the touristy places to be quite. But just 10 minute walk to most.

The staff at the Ruzzini were wonderful. They arranged a car from the airport to the water taxi port and then a water taxi to the hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel they treated us to some wine, coffee and after noon snack. The rooms were perfect. Modern, but yet still with the touch of elegance of Venice. The hotel is in a prime location to allow you to walk to most of the most popular landmarks in Venice. Fairly close to St Marks, the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. We spent an extra day in Venice before our cruise and loved every minute of it. The hotel even arranged a water taxi for us to the cruise port for us to board out ship. I would suggest to anyone to stay at the Ruzzini if they are going to spend anytime in Venice.

Great hotel. Stayed there for my honeymoon. Staff was friendly and attentive. Helped me get a taxi for my 2 am departure. Staff went beyond expectation when they helped with an issue in my room. Hotel was in middle of Venice. It was easy to go anywhere. I would highly recommend.

The Ruzzini Palace and it's wonderfully skilled staff made my first visit to Venice so special — the junior suite was extremely spacious and well appointed — beautifully windows overlooking the canal — the furniture, design and bedding were completely lovely and the bathroom … most modern in every feature — breakfast is included and has a great assortment to choose from — the service from Mario, Sandro and Paulo (who was our private greeter to and from the station via private water taxi … which I highly recommend & so well worth it are the very best staff! They made my holiday the most memorable — I miss them all already :-) ) I plan to go back and I wouldn't stay anywhere else — it's so convenient to everything — 5 stars in my travel book!

Nice location, great breakfast and cold rooms.

Just home from 3 splendid nights. Booked a suite with some reward vouchers from work. Greeted with a glass of fizz while our luggage was taken to the suite. Concierge arranged a private tour of the city by boat with a bottle of Prosecco for us, and even changed his mind and brought it forward to the same time an evening earlier after reviewing the weather reports for us. Great attention to detail as there was a storm the evening we originally booked at the time we had booked too. Money well spent we went 20:30-21:30 on Tuesday this week to bridge daylight, sunset, dusk and nightfall when the canals were quiet. Same concierge also made two stellar restaurant recommendations on successive evenings, one to a family run establishment very reasonably priced but packed out and very atmospheric, and the other a fine dining establishment which was up there with the best I've dined in. Also arranged for us to visit New Murano Gallery where we saw some pretty special examples of the island's famous glass output and were well looked after throughout our purchases there. Thoroughly recommend The Ruzzini Palace and will almost certainly re-visit.

In July 2013, we live here (just finished some of the comments), the hotel is great! Good location, with beautiful scenery of the city. I wish I could stay here! Hotel staff is very kind and spoke English very well (most of the locals speak English very well, so we have no communication barrier), and they will help us to translate a few calls to the phone, or the coordination of train, let us 1 hour to Venice to see his family in the North. Room clean and comfortable. We enjoy, and we come to Venice will stay here again. Hope to come back here soon.

A great hotel with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Our room was superb. Comfortable and well presented. Great location too, with Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco a short walk away. If we come back to Venice we will stay here again.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in late June/Early July 2014 at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel. It was a beautifully restored building located 5 mins walk from San Marco Square, but in the most gorgeous genuine local Santa Maria Formosa Square. We stayed in a fabulous room on the 1st floor overlooking the square, where the floor to ceiling windows opened up to views of the locals shopping at their fruit stall, people sitting outside restaurants dining and enjoying coffee, and kids playing ball games. It was a glimpse of real Venetian life yet so close to easily walk to all of the tourist areas, churches, restaurants. Etc. We pulled up in our water taxi (highly recommend this when you are arriving, worth the cost to avoid wandering never ending lane ways and over bridges with luggage in tow). The hotel arranges this for you. Our room was literally huge, with an enormous grand 4 poster bed, fabric wall linings and a spectacular painted plaster ceiling way above us. The staff went out of their way with their suggestions of activities, bookings for concerts, recommendations for restaurants, arranging for a night tour in a private water taxi (again recommended), walking tours. We had not been to Venice before (and it can be a confusing but magical place), and our stay at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel was one of the most enjoyable, unforgettable memories of our entire 5 week European Trip. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel.

The staff was nice enough. Deco was a bit dated for my taste and shower glass wasn't long enough such that water dripped onto the floor.

Just back from staying here. Absolute Fabuleous! Very friendly people at the reception, very helpful. You organized also a birthday present, even if we don't tell them, that we had to celebrate a birthday. We were fortunate to have a beautiful room with a beautiful view on the square. The breakfast is ok, not oustanding. Nice coffee! All guests a free excursion to Murano. We advise you to avoid waiting at the glass factory free taxi ride there and back with the bus too long. This hotel is an absolute recommendation, if you plan to go to Venice.

The first thing we liked about the hotel was its excellent service and friendliness. Staff were more than eager to help. They recommended good places to see with direction clearly marked out for a layman. The hotel has a lovely view of the canal and St. Maria Formosa (the Church). Walking distance from St. Marks Square. To sum it up: When I visit again, I would prefer staying and enjoying the services of Ruzzini Palace.
