My great grandparents lived here from 1894 to 1891 (Alessandro and Virginia Lassotovitch).

One of the most iconographic structures in Venice. The spaces are monumental but all the artwork is comfortable in their settings. Make sure to see the marble floors in the ground floor open courtyards. Breathtaking!

One of the most beautiful gothic architecture I've seen. Such a beautiful place.

Ca' D'Oro (Golden House) is perhaps the most beautiful and famous palazzo on the Grand Canal, an outstanding 15th century architectural monument. It's probably once gilded, hence the name.

Exceptional art gallery situated in a historical building. It is very close toate the vaporetto station and the orice 11 euro per person. You can find paintings and also a very nice garden.

The much photographed view from the loggia is quite nice, but the art exhibition is really not worth the entry of 11 euros. You can see much more valuable and beautiful pictures and exhibits elsewhere. The descriptions of the exhibits are also only in Italian, not even a translation into English was considered necessary. Unkind.

A beautiful place on the grand Canal. I only saw her on the outside.

The Golden Palace, the official name of the Hagia Sophia (Palazzo Santa Sofia), is known as the most Beautiful palace in Venice. It used to be decorated with gilded exterior walls, so it has a nickname for the Golden Palace.

Must-see, perfect Expo, sumptuous palaces.

I have to say that I have not visited the museum art collection. For against and without paying anything, free, you can visit the old part of the palace which is a beautiful one.

Not a big museum but a beautiful building with panoramic terraces and a nice collection of Renaissance art (including a work by Andrea Mantegna)

This wonderful palace contains a museum that is interesting even if you don't have any especially important work.
When we visited there were very few people in the museum… and what really displeased me was the poor treatment we received from the museum staff who seem to be in a hurry to kick us out and close. Very bad, disappointing and miserable. I don't recommend visiting this museum.

Ca ' d'oro is a well-known palace of Venice, located in the sestiere of Cannaregio and overlooking the Grand Canal, whose denomination comes from the fact that originally some parts of the façade were covered with gold, a finishing that was part of a complex polychromy, Now missing, considered one of the highest examples of Venetian floral Gothic. From 1927 it is used as a museum as the site of the Franchetti Gallery.

Place of great charm. Worth a visit: It takes a half hour.

Kind of nice. But no place for cooking. And for blanket it was not linen which means can be dirty little bit! tho, everything was perfect.

Building, Gallery and especially ground with opus sectile and opus tessellatum mosaic gorgeous. A must see. Fantastic view from the terrace on the Grand Canal.

It was Sunday and we were able to visit only the first floor.
How come? But because it was Sunday!
It is not clear? Now explain the mystery:
by Sunday, no staff is therefore is only open on the first floor, in Venice (one of the most beautiful cities in the world) in a Museum among the most famous in the world.
I like Italian, I am sincerely ashamed.
The two caretakers that we saw on the first floor, they could not be distributed one first and one second?
In the plan that we could visit we admired masterpieces. But for those of the second we will return from Monday to Saturday.
Gentlemen organizers and leaders, if you want to see the other 2 star review, try to fix it as soon as possible the shameful lack.

Its very good, if you like art/painting. I like history but there was not much in it apart from a very old hand drawn map of venice. The view is good though from higher floors. But it is definitely not worth the ticket price. (6 Euro)

10/1/2013 Really great location in a non tourist area. We found some great restaurants and Cafe's where the locals go. Room was very nice and clean and we had a excellent canal view. Excellent service, free breakfast and the small roof terrace has a great view. You cannot beat this place for the price and location!

Nice welcome. Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming.

I wanted to spend too much money. Do nothing but also cheap. Then came CA'doro rightly. Compared to other 3 * Hotels cheaper. From outside the Hotel looks already times very beautiful, with marble stairs and inside then modernized lobby. It has a small but nice pool (which is cleaned for lunch / no enter). There is a small children's area, both in the pool and in addition to the games. The food was quite OK. The rooms were always clean and when the TV did not work time, the receptionist up went right along and has set everything back. There are 2 tennis courts next to the hotel. My ca 40 seconds from the beach goes :) and not 5 minutes and you're in the shopping street. Had not thought so a good price/performance ratio to be found. 2 thumbs up.

Hotel not far from the beach is clean, all are friendly and reasonably priced. The food could be better.
