Truly a beautiful experience staying at this hotel. The staff friendly and caring, the premises extremely clean as well as beautiful. The wonderful spa and the operators who perform the massages professional, kind and with a focus beyond expectations.

I had a short experience at this hotel with my husband and I have to say that everything was very nice, from the cleanliness of the room to that of the staff, all very friendly and attentive to make you feel like an important host. The hotel is really very stylish. Breakfast and dinner served in compliance with covid 19 regulations. Great. Too bad that the city of Salsomaggiore is a bit off to be the month of August, they could give more. Beautiful Castles in the province to visit. Very comfortable spa. Baths not received.

Impeccable cleanliness, staff, rooms cared for in every minimum detail, is an ideal place to relax, especially to try the spa! Located in the centre of Salsomaggiore, the hotel offers guests free parking, and any type of service, a restaurant, a bar and fantastic appetizers parmigiana. Great prices. Breakfast rich and of high quality.

Great Hotel. Super friendly staff, awesome cocktails. And check oute The roof top pool (Solarium) once you are there! Definitley worth the 5 Stars!

Ok, the real italian job (yes, I am Italian). A good looking hotel but not more. Definitely not worth and not a real 5 Stars. It's all apereance. First of all, during the reservation process, all Rooms are without SPA Access. In the Room description must be explicitly written SPA Included. The problem is that 90% of Rooms are without this diciture. When you scroll all the Rooms down, you will find 2 rooms with SPA included. This is just to attract the clients with the "good" price and than charge them locally for the SPA. SPA costs 90 Euro pro day pro person. A lot of money for a small pool and not that much all. The almost all people we talked with are without 5 Stars experience. This is not a good sign for a 5 star hotel. There are comportamental leaks not justify for high end hotels. The rooms are not all described having a leaving Room foyer but in our Room there is just one table and the room is almost 18 square meter (6x3) … definitely not a as promised. Even not that busy for a 5 Stars. On our arrival day, the receptionist asked us if we want to book the SPA even if we during the dinner (in the city, not in this hotel) met some people, also guests of this hotel, complaining about the SPA. The SPA was cold, not working, but they wanted to make us pay 90 Euros! Crazy! Our Room was not perfect clean how everyone would expect in a 5 Star level. Some very big problems that cannot be forgiven to a 5 Star hotel The breakfast is really avarage.

We booked for Grand Hotel Salsomaggioire incl, breakfast, spa access and a spa package. But unfortunately only the breakfast was included and not the spa for 30 euros per person per day. This turned out to be a nasty situation that ruined the holiday for us. Hotel staff said we had to pay for the sauna, but I had proof that did not have to. We had contact with Secret Escapes and they told us they were working on it. Meanwhile, they once again insisted that we had to sign and after 4, 5, 6 times they told us that Secret escapes could do nothing else anymore and that we had to pay it ourselves. So yes, I had no more argument not to sign. Then I called secret escapes and I was told I should not have signed because secret escapes was still working. Either way Hotel staff had lied to us and we experienced this as very unpleasant. Then I returned to the hotel staff, calling them the person. She came and she literally said she was lei e dramatio and she scared because of me standing there. I understand enough Italian to understand what was said. After this deception we went out of the spa (paid). The fun was over for the day following three days. After this unpleasant and annoying situation we have not been to the spa anymore while we were delighted to have picked the hotel for it. I understood that there was a problem with the booking regarding spa access + spa treatment package, but the way in which this was done, I wasn't charmed by.

A brandnew hotel with contemporary design in old walls in the heart of the city. Unfortunately the staff is not up to the task and it took a lot of discussions to finally get the room with king size bed we had ordered. The whole experience i. E. Room without amenities, terrace pool and breakfast does definitely not deserve 5 stars.
