There is little to say and so much to see… The awakenings sea view where you can admire the whole gulf, it is little to say that it is wonderful. The food is great, but the staff are very but very courteous and above all personable. Congratulations on everything. And thank you for making our honeymoon unforgettable.

Our room overlooked the sea and we must say the views are breathtaking, it was beautiful to have the french doors open and lay on the bed to a view that just overlooked the sea 😍
The room had all the facilities you require both in the bathroom and the main bedroom area. The hotel has its own outdoor swimming pool and snack bar which serves some very tasty meals. I had Seafood Salad very fresh and the taste was heavenly, my Husband had the mixed green salad which he said was also fresh and very tasty.
All the staff around the pool area are very attentive
We couldn't find any faults with this hotel that would spoil anyone's stay, and we would highly Recommend anyone visiting the Isle of Capri make the most of this beautiful Island and stay the night here 😎

The view, the beautiful and peaceful garden and the fascinating history of Axel Munthe. Not forgetting the mysterious but sphinx friend who looks at the view with you.

I stayed at this hotel for one night in August with my wife. The views are gorgeous and the hotel is located in Anacapri. It is within walking distances to shopping, restaurants and the popular Mount Solaro chair lift, which I highly recommend. The room was clean and had air conditioning. The hotel has a pool which was nice to cool off on a hot summer day. The included breakfast was good with a wide selection to choose from and the Wi-Fi was pretty fast for a hotel. The reason I gave 4/5 stars is that the pool is not heated and the water was freezing, it felt like it was just full of hose water. We ordered a pizza at the pool and it was awful. The shower was a bathtub with no glass or curtain around it so when usinghr shower water would splatter everywhere, poor design. In addition we called the hotel the morning of our arrival to schedule a time to be picked up at the port. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for the shuttle driver to arrive and then there was confusion between the shuttle driver and hotel for over 20 minutes about whether or not there was room for us in the shuttle because they had another party to pick up. We should have been told this when we called two hours before to schedule a shuttle pick up and I had to call the hotel myself to sort out the confusion because the shuttle driver was not helpful about it. The decor could also use updating as it is a bit dated.

Tired and faded grandeur. Disappointing breakfast served in a large and neglected dinning room. Semi Olympic swimming pool but you need to pay extra €6 for a sun lounger what is surprising when you are paying more than€300 a night. Also as the pool is not exclusive for the guests it gets very busy. The food at the pool restaurant is good and traditional Italian. Close to the centre of Anacapri but to get to Capri you will need to take a bus or a taxi. It could be amazing but it still trying to live on the glories of the past.

Such a beautiful place — I loved touring both the rooms and the gorgeous garden and was inspired to buy a copy of The Story of San Michele on my way out, which I am very much enjoying.

This hotel have a very good view toward the Port of Capri. And is just next to Anacapri town. Good area for shopping.

The 4-Star hotel, which has already been in its Year, impresses with its Architecture and unforgettable Panoramic Views over Marina Grande. Many Terraces are open to all and the Harbour is also easily visible from the Restaurant and from the Bar. The Room I booked was functional and unfortunately quite clairvoyant Thanks to the outdated Door technology (the Doors from other Rooms are quite noisy when Closing). The Staff were friendly but not intrusive. Welcome to the Hotel or the Island, however, you don't get to hear and when You say Goodbye you don't get asked if everything was okay. The lived hospitality I know from Austria is not offered here. The House has a beautiful History, the Story can be felt — thanks to the many historical Images that decorate the Corridors — at every Turn. Very nice although it is advisable to go to Anacapri in May and not in April because of the cold issue. The hotel is a very nice place and two minutes from Anacapri.

Great views and central location. But the bed wasn't the best, breakfast was average, and the place is in need of a serious upgrade. If here for just a night it's ok but if you are looking for a place to relax and stay for a while this isn't your best bet. Photos are deceiving.

We spent one night my girlfriend and I. To say the least wonderful! Balcony with sea view and all the Comforts. To recommend Absolutely. They offer massages swimming pool facilities and a beautiful garden suitable for families and all ages of ETA even with Children. Congratulations!

Dated room. The power outlet is too small for any of our adapters. No shuttle for pick-up.

The room look like a closet, nothing to do your coffee and enjoy on the balcony, pizza overprice +25, the Wi-Fi didn't work during one and half day and we got an electric shut down.

We were very disappointed by this hotel. It's clearly not a 4 stars hotel as there is no service -employees are not welcoming -poor rooms: broken shower, old matress -dirty: we had ants in our room! -bad location: far from Capri center and Marina Grande. During peak season it's impossible to take the bus at this location since they are completely full at San michel hotel's station. You have to walk up to Anacapri center to get the chance to take the bus. -additional fees for beds and umbrella at the pool… (6€) In conclusion: you won't have for your money!

Most amazing view! The staff is so polite. Free taxi around the island. Close walk to city center. Clean, newer rooms in antique building.

It was not my intention to visit it. I did it instead of the electric chair because it was so crowdy over there. AND what I did was the best ever anyone can do during the visit to Capri. Magical place with breathtaking views and a place for meditation. It was paradise and I mean it litterally.

The best part of my visit to Capri. I was very happy to learn of what a huge animal lover Axel Munthe was. Also appreciated his big heart in helping the poor in Capri with their medical needs and didn't accept payment from them. I love birds and was thrilled to learn of his fight to protect the birds. A very beautiful and magical place on earth. I recommend everyone try to visit Villa San Michele if able.

A magical place not to be missed. Come early or late to avoid the crowd. Concerts at night and beautiful views at daytime. And read the book Axel Munthe wrote about the place, or some of the other books he did.

This is a beautiful hotel with stunning views towards Maples across the sea. With one notable exception, the level of service, helpfulness and demeanor of the staff was very poor. The choice of food was lamentable with very limited options at both breakfast and dinner. Someone's you were charged for coffee after a meal and sometimes you weren't. Table water was always extra. There was no provision for making hot drinks in your room. I cannot recommend this place.

The hotel has a spectacular view, accessible from some rooms, from the dining room, from the garden and from the communal terrace.

I didn't have a good experience at this hotel, and I'm not usually a fussy person! It is in a good location, about a 5 minute walk to the main square. The hotel itself has some old charm, but needs a bit of modernization. My room was okay, the bed was comfortable. The toilet seat was broken and would slide off. I asked for it to be fixed, but after 4 days it still wasn't seen to! The bathroom was also small and pokey and the shower screen didn't close all the way so the shower would soak the floor. Good hot water though. Breakfast was really not good. A real lack of choice, cold hard boiled eggs, a bit of tinned fruit, some fresh fruit, lots of sweet pastries though. Staff at breakfast looked moody and unhelpful. Probably the worst experience came when I checked out, they said I needed to pay 8 euros for some fried eggs I had at breakfast! When I was at breakfast I saw people getting cooked eggs, so I asked a waiter for some. He didn't mention anything about having to pay for them, and there was no menus on the table. The lady at reception who was demanding the payment took me to the restaurant and went behind the bar and got a menu showing me the price. I said to her "how was I supposed to see that when there are no menus on the table! " She was insistent on me paying but I outright refused, based on principle of the ridiculous cost and second because no one told me I had to pay for some cooked eggs. It definitely left a sour taste.

The view is magnificent. The food is really good and the staff very nice, at least when I was there I. Recommend to anyone staying there to try it out.
