Amazing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful sea view.

A perfect place. Outside of Sorrento just enough to be less hectic but only 15 minutes walk to the main square. Great views from the room, its balcony, the breakfast terrace, and rooftop deck. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Rooms are bright and well appointed.

The pictures do not do the Helios justice. A short walk from city center, this location is quiet and beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive, it is an amazing and affordable getaway! Highly recomend a room with a balcony.

Reasonably priced. It is on a hill about 10-15 minute walk from downtown Sorrento. Room 1 has a door to a secluded balcony and a window overlooking the water. Opening both allows for a wonderful breeze. I would most certainly request that room again. The breakfast is simple and served as a buffet. There is beach access for free using the hotel next door. The front desk at Hotel Helios will give you passes. If you want a chair and umbrella (recommended) it costs 10-12 euros. I recommend water shoes as it is a rocky beach. If you rent a scooter (recommended for those seeking a bit of adventure) you can park it at the hotel for free. I would stay there again. Note the costs of a taxi are high in Sorrento and will cost about 25 euro for a ride downtown with luggage.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Despite being a little bit out from the town centre, the walk down to town allows you take in amazing panoramic views of Sorrento and the bay. The staff were very helpful and attentive and were quick to respond to emails (thanks Daniela) when our flight into Naples was delayed to assist in organising a transfer for us. There are great views of the bay both from your room and during breakfast on the balcony (see photo). Speaking of, breakfast is great, with a selection pastries, cereals, bacon & eggs etc. The staff on hand to assist (particularly Salvatore and Angelo) were very helpful and friendly.

When I say “5 stars”, I don’t mean it’s a 5-star hotel, but simply that the hotel is absolutely excellent for what it is. The staff are just amazingly friendly and helpful (and speak very good English for those of us who can’t manage Italian), offering lots of advice about things to do, places to go, and restaurants to eat at (since the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant). They will also arrange private car transfers when you need them (eg to/from airport). In good weather, but breakfast is served on a sunny terrace overlooking the sea and a very pleasant cove. The breakfast is superb and caters for most tastes (you won’t get a full English fry up there, but they do eggs and bacon). The rooms are extremely clean and all of them have a beautiful view of the sea (as far as I could tell). Air conditioning works perfectly and the rooms are nice and spacious (i was in room 5). On Saturday night there was a massive fireworks display close by that I wish I had known about in advance to get a better view (might be worth asking at reception if that’s a regular saturday night thing). If you look at a map, you might notice that the hotel is a bit out of Sorrento town, but the location is perfect. Only 18 mins walk each way to the town centre, and a very pleasant walk too (amazing views of the harbours and gardens). Very enjoyable stay and would definitely go back!

We escaped to Sorrento as a last minute decision after checking out from an absolutely 'night-marish' hotel experience in Capri since all the remaining hotels on the island were booked up that weekend or out of our price range. So glad we came here. Two smiling ladies greeted us on arrival and helped us with our luggage. The room was just brand new and spotless, the bed and pillows exceedingly comfortable, the shower and toilet simply luxurious, the toiletries provided were excellent. And the service was second to none we have experienced in Europe. At any one time there were atleast two members of staff behind the reception, ready to help you with a smile. We asked for tea in our room, almost immediately a lady came with a tray containing beautiful tea pot and cups and with a selection of cookies on the side, into our room. The rooftop views were amazing, the hot tub is closed at night which is for the best as it minimises drunken and unruly behaviour among guests, thereby making this hotel an oasis of calm and serenity to stay in. Couldn't fault ANYTHING at all! Thanks for such a memorable stay guys! Keep up the great work!

We were just so lucky to find this amazing little hotel. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary there I. May 2016, being wonderfully looked after by the team and in comfortable surroundings with incredible views of Vesuvius … how could you not love it? I’m planning a return trip in 2018! Herculaneum, Ravello and Capri next time!

I was looking for a convenient hotel in Sorrento that still had great views of the Bay of Naples and wasn't disappointed. This place is about a 10 minute walk from downtown Sorrento, which my pregnant wife was able to do without a second thought. Although we had a car, we didn't need (or want) to use it for trips into the town center. If you do plan to arrive with a car, however, let them know in advance. They have a small parking lot and if it's full you'll have to park down at the bottom of the hill and walk up! As for the hotel, it is recently renovated, clean, and a great value. They bedroom and bathroom are good sizes, and almost all rooms have a good view. The top floor has the best unobstructed views of the Bay, while some rooms can even see Vesuvius as well. They have a patio on the roof, which has lounge chairs, a hot tub, and some patio tables/chairs. They offer a snack menu with generous portions at a good price, which they'll gladly deliver to wherever you'd like. There's an extensive breakfast spread on the lower level that has more than enough to prepare you for your day of sightseeing or relaxing. And the staff is exceptional. They continuously go out of their way to help. In our case, we had a very early departure the Naples airport, which meant an even earlier departure from the hotel. So the night before, the staff let us check out, set up the car for us to leave, and even prepared a snack for my wife and I to eat on the way to the airport!

It is very modern and cozy hotel. And staffs are very kind and friendly. But It is very far from city center. Besides the hotel is up on the hill. fare of using taxi is almost 20 euros. I would recommend you to choose another hotel in city center.

Very friendly well designed hotel also very clean. Breakfast is diverse cakes, breads, cereals, fruits, plus hot eggs, bacon, sausage, toast. Lose 1 star as no pool, but great sunbathing area with views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvious.

Beautiful new hotel, opened last May is a gem set in the rock. Small and well cared for. Excellent breakfast and staff.
