We stayed here in August 2019 when we were in Sorrento for our wedding. Absolutely fantastic hotel, staff really couldn't do enough to help. The spa is amazing and so relaxing. Really hope to return one day.

Arrived Wednesday 9th Oct 2019 and it has been a pleasure from start to where we are still enjoying this little gem of a hotel. Food is an array of delicious choices. Buffet or A la carte. Staff are so helpful and polite… drinks from Peroni on draft or in cans by the beach… Gordon's Gin Smirnoff Vodka Grand Marnier Red wine White wine Rosè and Prosecco by the bottle all part of all inclusive. Peanuts Crisps Snacks… pizza… cakes… Ice cream. Lovely boutique hotel with clean well appointed rooms. Nothing is too much bother and so relaxing… why not try for yourselves. You will love it just like we currently are. Forget Spain and the Canaries… Sorrento wins hands down. X.

Lovely location on the coast. Friendly and efficient staff. Food excellent. Rooms comfortable and clean.

Didn’t think we had to pay to use indoor pool. 15€ each but when we asked about using it but they commented that they have problem being that Pool was cold! Might as well swim in sea then for free.

Had a lovely stay at the Alimuri at the end of July food drinks amazing so were bar and restaurant staff. Sadly holiday and memories ruined as the maid took several items from our room some of which we did notice until home. Hotel have yet to respond to me have been waiting 3 weeks now.

This is our 3rd time at this Hotel. Different staff this time but their principals are still the same, look after the customer. It's perfect can't fault it.

Good location, with its own private beach, it's own car park, great staff, good food, hotel is a bit tired, and could do with some TLC, staff make up for it with the attitude, would visit again…

Good morning, if you want to have a top holiday, you have chosen the right hotel… Great Campania food, cleanliness, courtesy, and very friendly and helpful staff. The breathtaking view, complete the package. I highly recommend it. Happy holidays.

We have just come back from the Alimuri. We had a wonderful time and I cannot believe people could possible moan about this place. It has beautiful views the staff were wonderful. The food is great the cakes if you like that sort of thing to die for. It is a bit out of town but the price will double if you stay in Sorrento itself. However the shuttle bus takes you in and you are given a time table. We had three different entertainers over the week and they were excellent. The only thing we had a problem with is the bathrooms need updating they are very big baths with marble all round and are now old. However we met a couple whom did have a new walk in shower room so they are obviously starting to update. The room itself is beautiful all Italian woodwork. People were booking when they left to go again next year.

Read all the reviews. Wow. I wish I did. Today reported june 9, 2028. I booked this room for my son through HotelTonight. This was for his Birthday. June 7 one night stay. Today he contacted me with a photo showing me he had BED BUG bites all over his arm. The service I received was horrible, I emailed them prior to his arrival to have the hotel help me out with something for his Birthday, even offering to pay. Never had any return email or call. The bed bugs are horrible and I want some compensation for this problem. I want a report showing this problem was checked out. This is a serious matter.

Well recommended Hotel, make sure you book a room overlooking the sea, you won't regret it. The food is generally very good and plentiful, bar has limited products. The staff are attentive but as it was busy don't get time to chat to you too long. Location is a little off the beaten track. But a bus is 3 mins walk or the train station is 25 mins up a steep hill. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. It's true here, what they say about Italians, they love children. Room is amazing. Private beach and pool. Endless food.

Apparently many people define the staff as "cozy" yes, just a nice welcome. A herd of beasts that has drugged, brutalized and mercilessly mocked a poor woman, because yes, unfortunately for you, the name of the hotel has been made public. The managers would be from 6 to 8, you choose it right the staff, there is no telling. Shame!

We wanted to come but after what happened…
Where was the security of the hotel.
How did you take on beasts like that without verifying extraction and professionalism?

Disgusted of what I have read about this hotel, how can you have so many staff as rapists. I hope you all go bankrupt.

How come session talks about the rape committed by some of the staff members? Staff checks do you do? Sure you don't come anymore if a holiday becomes a nightmare experience. This rabble must be ashamed and must be punished absolutely. That sucks.

How come no one says that in this hotel 5 people of the staff raped an English tourist two years ago? You do not have personal checks and do not watch over the safety of tourists?

Fantastic place to stay food out of this world sea views are brilliant and staff caught do enough for you great holiday brenda and ken.

Great atmosphere with efficient, friendly staff. Lovely food on the buffet. Definitely recommend staying here for a perfect week away on holiday.

We booked this hotel after seeing such good reviews, but I think they be must old reviews, because we were there in May 2018 and we found this hotel needing updating and maintenance and could be cleaner. Yes staff pleasant but no one could understand English properly. The beach is not sandy as advertised its rocky. The town is too far away. Poor entertainment and for us the worst was all the food.

However, the food is the main issue, there is a huge buffet but the food is mainly fish or meat meals, and as a person who only really likes chicken and pork (as meats) and no fish there really wasn't a lot of choice to eat.

This hotel and part of Italy is amazing all staff are so friendly and helpful and the views are breath taking will definitely return in the future.

Stay 13 days Hotel Alimuri of Meta di Sorrento full board: Self-service breakfast normal, lunch and dinner, with buffet contours, at medium-low quality. Service at the tables performed with little professionalism and a lot of rudeness. Service in the rooms and bathroom: sufficient payments made in the Hotel, for excursions and stay, completed by cash without any issue of receipt of tax or invoice.
Shuttle Hotel available with 2 sun rides per day and the hotel SPA, for a fee, not working, despite the different advertisements.

Great all inclusive hote. We have been twice and have had great stays both times. We will return if we can book without using Tui.

We stayed at the Mar Hotel Alimuri for a week commencing the 14th October and are happy to report that we had an amazing experience! The interior decor in the rooms and public areas had a classic Italian feel and gave the hotel a luxurious feel! The coastal setting was amazing with the hotel tucked away in a small cliffside area with lovely view across the Bay of Naples! Being situated in the small village of Meta meant that we were close enough to Sorrento without feelin…g we were in the middle of bustling resort. The hotel provided a convenient free shuttle bus service to the centre of Sorrento and the local train station making getting around nice and straightforward. The quality of the food was truly excellent with the standard of the all-inclusive dining putting many restaurants to shame. We particularly liked how the buffet and the à la carte could be combined to create the ideal meal. Pasta dishes, seafood, meat, pizzas and salads were all served on a daily basis and more than catered to our taste for Italian cuisine! The drinks served were known, quality brands so top marks there! My only slight criticism is the standard of the coffee served in the morning could perhaps do with being a little bit better but this is a small complaint and does not detract from the amazing overall standard of dining at the hotel. The table service from the waiting staff was friendly and attentive.

Beautiful hotel. Clean and serviced daily. Amazing food. Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Proper Italian gem. Free bus to Sorrento and ideal location to explore the area. Trips run from the hotel. We booked all inclusive and were impressed. Did I actually read someone moaned the lift was slow! There are two lifts and a beautiful marble staircase. The hotel isn't modern nor are the lifts. Not that I was rushing anywhere… the views of the sunset were stunning.

Had a weeks stay end of July 17, lovely hotel staff will do anything for you very helpful. We enjoyed the beach but you need beach shoes as it's not a sandy beach it's pebbled. Shuttle bus very handy for trips into Sorrento. Plenty of choice of food, Pizzas where a big favourite of ours, think the a la carte could have been better flavour wise just thought something was missing. Lovely views of the bay and fab sunsets. Family room was very good even had a 4 poster bed, separated from kids by a sliding door. Free safe and fridge which was stocked up with water every day.

Good standard 4* hotel, food good even better if you ask for something not on the menu — maybe available. Hotel staff seem disinterested but are very helpful when prompted. Good all inclusive package branded drinks and cocktails available as well as wine and presecco in large quantities. Down side — long way from Sorrento — shuttle service ok but stops too early for nights out. Not enough toilets, self-service for coffee and tea seems the order of the day, information is not readily available and it is wise to question holiday rep about hotel amenities.

This hotel is lovely and the food good BUT it is isolated and apart from swimming, drinking and eating not much to do! The nearest village is 700 metres plus from the hotel and this involves walking up a very steep hill, busy with traffic and often no pavement. Very difficult for anyone with walking difficulties, in a wheel chair, pushing a pram, carrying a child. The hotel courtesy bus to Sorrento does not stop in the village or at the station there. The pool is small and as other reviews have said needs repainting and some repair work. The sea — well Bay of Naples — is lovely. And views wonderful.

Spent a week at the Mar Hotel Alimuri with my partner, young daughter and 26 friends as part of a wedding party. The staff, especially the wait staff are fantastic; friendly & helpful. The hotel is kept clean and tidy, rooms & towels cleaned daily. The bar served a wide variety of soft and alcoholic drinks and the unlimited bottled water was a very welcome part of the all inclusive. The views from this hotel are first class. Stunning. Beautiful. If you're looking for a laid back and relaxing break I would actually recommend this hotel. However I personally wouldn't revisit this hotel simply due to the fact that they were unable to cater for my dietary needs. As a vegan very nearly all dishes had meat, fish or seafood in them including the salad dishes. They did provide soya milk though. The majority of my friends with whom I travelled did enjoy the food on offer though. We also had the problems with a sewerage smell in our bathroom but we were the only family out of the group who had this problem.

Absolutely stunning hotel, the food was gorgeous, the waiters couldn't do enough for us, we rate this with the beautiful scenery in the surrounding areas as the very best holiday we have ever been on! We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. One teeny tiny request is tea making facilities in the rooms. Awesome X.

Wonderful hotel for our honeymoon.

Staying as a guest with my husband on our honeymoon, hotel is in a superb location, food is outstanding, staff cannot do enough for you.

Us is the third time that allogiamo in this beautiful property, we were always good. With staff always very kind.

A great hotel, the private beach is convenient, the Spa is beautiful. At the restaurant you eat well and all the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. Highly recommended!
