Words truly cannot describe Hotel Pellegrino. If you are looking to stay on the Amalfi Coast… this is it. To even call it a hotel is an injustice. Of course, this is a spectacular hotel… but it felt like being welcomed home from the moment you pulled up. You are immediately greeted by Luigi, who is a third generation owner of the hotel. Although early for our check in, our room was ready and waiting. Our junior room suite was spacious, clean and with stunning views! After we got settled, we were invited for a welcome drink and appetizer on the third floor deck. There we met Luigi’s wife, daughter and son… all incredibly friendly. During our 5 day stay Luigi offered to drive us to any local destination we liked, and frequently asked if there was anything we needed. Praiano center was a walkable distance… and Positano was just a 5 minute drive away. We found Positano to be a bit crowded even in May, and after spending 5 days in Rome, staying in Praiano was just what we needed. All of the meal we ate here were incredible. Luigi’s wife and daughter prepared the best dishes we had in Italy. Do not pass it up. As we were leaving, each family member came to wish us farewell with hugs… which made leaving paradise even harder! We truly cannot wait to come back!

Very charming hotel, with a superb chef (the owner's daughter), which will make you feel like a king and queen. Rooms spacious, very clean, full of comfort, with incredible sea views. Super Hi-Fi sistem at the restaurant to eat and drink an aperitif between the music.

We spent 3 days here on our Honeymoon trip. We quickly realized that we should have spent the whole 10 days here! The most amazing, relaxing, fun, beautiful place I have ever been. Fabulous food, warm hospitality and a family feeling. Luigi and his family are amazing people. It feels like we have known them for years. We will be back, and next time we will stay longer! This family run hotel with 9 rooms is a gem. We had one of our most wonderful hotel stay there. The owner's family was very warm and hospitable. When we checked in we were invited to a welcome drink on the third floor terrace with a nice view of the sea and Praiano. The room has modern facilities with many electric outlets. The Wi-Fi was fast. The shower had strong water pressure. The third floor terrace restaurant served great food. I had the best sea food pasta on this trip. The breakfast was served by the owner and his wife. The food seemed to come nonstop, egg, bacon, tomatoes, fresh baked pastries, coffee, juices, yogart, homemade jams, … We were spoiled.

Every time it is worth to go back for the beauty of the place and for the quality of service.

We chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and were NOT disappointed. Luigi, Sandra, Daniela and Federico run a top-notch family boutique hotel centered on the Amalfi coast. They even have a small parking garage for your vehicle. Luigi put us in contact with Umberto Di Martino (Umberto Limos Positano on Facebook), and we used him for two days to tour both directions on the coast. The Pellegrino is totally renovated and comfortable with large rooms and fantastic views of Praiano. It is right on a bus stop, and you can take it to Positano in 10 minutes. But it is the SERVICE that makes this place special. Luigi is the consummate host and takes great pride and effort to make your stay the best it can be. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, and both the breakfast and evening meals are fabulous. HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are doing the Amalfi coast!

Small, very friendly Hotel run by a lovely family who are perfect hosts. Stunning views, close enough to walk into Praiano, and the bus stops right outside. Food is excellent, junior suites ideal.

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Pellegrino! Beautiful family run hotel with breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast. Rooms are modern, updated and larger than even some garages we saw driving in. By the way, driving there is not for the faint of heart! Our hosts Luigi, Angela, Frederico, and Daniella, (All family) were warm and inviting. They make you feel like you're being welcomed into their home… a stunning, 4 star hotel home, but a home nonetheless. Both the dinner and breakfast were the best we had in our entire trip to Italy. (See pics attached) My only regret is that we only stayed one night and will return again for a lengthier stay!

Food — Breakfast is fantastic and we were offered a generous selection of fruit, pastries and omelette along with juice and coffee of your choice. We chose to have dinner in the upstairs terrace on 3 occasions and the food was delicious! In fact the spaghetti seafood was the best meal I experienced in italy. There is a great selection of wines and a complimentary offering of some varying liqueurs from Luigi. The Hosts — Luigi and his family do a fantastic job. Nothing is a problem and they go above and beyond to ensure you have an incredible experience. Luigi was even generous enough to drop us to positano on a couple of occasions as the bus system is not so good.

We loved this place. A family run business and they were all so welcoming and extremely helpful. Our room was a excellent size with a lovely balcony area with amazing views. The only bad thing was the shower which took awhile to drain. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner. Highly recommend this as the place to stay while in Praiano.

The hotel is old but very good. Has an excelent staff, food and amazing views. I only felt it a bit pricey and far from turistic points.

Luigi and his family are the absolute best. A 5 minute or so walk into town and we'll worth it for the hospitality that Hotel Pellegrino provides. Will definitely stay again next time.

In spite of the not very central location, it is very welcoming.

At the beginning of September I spent with my wife a fabulous week at the Hotel Pellegrino. Lovely Panorama, strategic location (between Amalfi and Positano) and absolutely quiet outside the centre of Praiano within easy walking distance, beautiful sea, covered parking. The room was spotlessly clean with a bathroom equally lindo and spacious; The mattress of the bed was absolutely comfortable (hard enough) ; The spacious terrace offers comfortable lounge chairs and armchairs with sea views. The courtesy and professional availability of the owners and staff was touching; The Mediterranean and continental breakfast plentiful and varied; The kitchen, for nothing heavy, included exquisite dishes prepared with taste and craftsmanship, with orders to the paper. Luigi's hospitality and the food alone are worth the stay. Such a unique and genuine experience!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Pellegrino in May 2014. We loved this place! From the moment we stepped off the bus, Luigi and his family treated us with exceptional kindness and superb service. The location (right in front of Sita bus stop 4) couldn't have been any be more convenient. Our room was large and very comfortable and had its own private balcony with magnificent views of the Mediterranean. Luigi, wife Sandra and sister Angela were all amazing. The rooftop dining room is absolutely breathtaking with a terrace you could relax on after dinner. We were greeted each morning to a breakfast that was to die for and their chef Michaela made the most amazing dinners. I would highly recommend staying there if you want a truly wonderful experience while staying on the Amalfi coast. Note: Booking directly through Hotel Pellegrino saves you money.

This Pensione is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at in Italy. The views are to die for, Luigi and his family that run it are beyond friends and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. And lets not forget the amazing meals that he and his family make from scratch! A true feast of Italian cuisine with fresh fish. I give this ***** 5 Stars! Must visit.
