They had been told it was a special occasion for us yet they did nothing and gave us the smallest and crappiest room they had. They were unhelpful and not friendly at all so will never stay here again!

I left some jewelry and a folder in the desk drawer they are saying the found the folder but not my jewelry. So sad some of the pieces were special to me. You would not think they would have thefts cleaning their rooms. So sad because they would not even investigate.

Visiting from Toronto and had lunch at this hotel restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My kids have allergies and the staff tended to their needs. Food was great. Prime location… 5 min walk to main street.

A very very well maintained hotel meters away from the amazing amalfi beach. The food is excellent. I can't describe how wonderful and friendly the staff is. Me and my family enjoyed it.

Absolutely brilliant, helpful friendly staff and the best location for a hotel ever plus great food, an immaculate and clean hotel from top to bottom and an awesome little balcony but the tiniest room we have ever stayed in — not enough room in the en suite to get dried or changed, a shower curtain (!? ) that doesn't touch the floor and if we had had more luggage than two small cases we would have had to leave them in the hall outside. Nevertheless we have had an amazingly good time here and loved every minute of our stay.

Family owned hotel with nice, clean rooms. We were lucky and got one of the rooms with a seaside view. Just stunning. We also joined one of the promoted hikes and had an awesome time. The staff was super friendly and very supportive. Would definitely come back. The terrace with umbrellas and beach chairs was priceless during the 32 degree midday sun. Big plus: you don’t have to walk up the hill with your luggage and still have a fantastic view.

We stayed at La Bussola for a week in late May and have to say this hotel fully met with our expectations. All the staff were excellent and always helpful and accommodating. The hotel location is one of the best in Amalfi with easy close access to bus and boat transport and to the centre of the town. Our accommodation, although not recently refurbished, was clean, smart and with an unbelievable and unrestricted balcony view of the harbour area and the entire Amalfi bay. The hotel nevertheless has a certain ambience. Food, (half board in our own case) was always well cooked, of quality and nicely presented without being overly ostentatious being supported by attentive customer service. Would have no hesitation regarding staying at this hotel again.

We stayed at the Hotel restaurant La Bussola on May 12, 2018 for a celebration of great importance. We could not choose better, a charming place with a breathtaking view, a wonderful panorama among the few in the world, excellent food, a service of great seriousness and professionalism, wonderful rooms in all respects and to finish Mr. Happy, director of the structure, a unique respectability, a person of other times that today almost do not meet anymore… There are no words to define this beautiful place in the heart of the Amalfi Coast…

We stayed at this hotel in Amalfi for two nights while on holiday. This hotel goes above and beyond in terms of customer service. The staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. They make sure your time in a Amalfi is enjoyable, and they are a tight-knit group of people that genuinely care about their guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Amalfi. The hotel has a beautiful terrace that overlooks the water, and the hotel is next to everything you could ever need. There are many restaurants in the area and you are right at the ferry port. Our room was wonderful, and we had a small balcony to look out at the ocean. Anyone would be in heaven staying at La Bussola!

Great hotel in the center of Amalfi. Very nice staff, great breakfast with huge choice of sweet and savory food. The hotel has a beautiful sea views, a private sea descent with sunbeds, parasols and shower. Just a little bit the bathrooms of the rooms that are spacious, airy, many with sea view.

Loved the location. Right next to the water and the have a dock where you can swim or relax in the sun. Very close the the center of Amalfi as well. Rooms are nice, staff is nice. Breakfast buffet is decent. I would stay here again.

Lovely location, nicely decorated rooms and common rooms and dining room, with wonderful views of the Gulf. Great and well taken care of the food, very friendly staff. Presence of parking, indispensable in the winding and narrow streets of the coast.

This was my favorite stop of our whole two week tour of Italy. Perfect location, it is a little dated but it only adds to the wonderful experience. Very very clean. The breakfast was delicious, staff was courteous and so helpful. Wish I could have stayed there the whole trip.

5 stars for location, 2 stars for amenities. Quite noisy for rooms facing the street, not those are the ones with sea view, which is very nice with a balcony.

We spent 10 days here for our wedding anniversary in late October. I can only give this hotel a first rate review. To be honest everything was perfect and the staff are brilliant from the management, reception, waiting and cleaning personnel. Would we go here again, yes like a flash.

What a fantastic hotel! My husband and I have just come back from our honeymoon, where we spent 5 nights at Hotel La Bussola. It was such a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The staff are amazing: helpful, personable, attentive, and they create a real family feel. The front desk staff arranged many things for us, including a private boat tour, concert tickets, and restaurant reservations. We had two meals a day included with our rate. The dining room is clean, overlooks the harbour, and the food is very tasty and abundant! It took us a while to get used to the quantity of food in a traditional Italian meal! Service is impeccable. The rooms are modest, in need of an update, but very clean, well kept and comfortable. Air conditioned too. There is a fantastic fourth floor terrace that overlooks the habour and the town. We made a 5pm ritual of having a drink up there. There is a private "beach" just in front of the hotel (across the small road) in the marina. Sand/rock beach space is limited in the mountainous Amalfi Coast, so the hotel has made their own with a large dock running the length of the property, set up with lunge chairs, towels, umbrellas, a swimming area and an attendant. It served as a great place to relax and cool off in the clear water. The hotel is just a 2 minute walk along the waterfront to the main square, but removed enough from the hustle and bustle of tourists to seem out of the way.

I just got back from a short holiday in Amalfi with a group of friends. We were guests of the hotel and could not have asked for a better hotel for location, courtesy and professionalism.
Very good food, fresh fish selected from three menus.
The best feeling, however, was that of "feeling at home" for kindness and sensitivity of the staff to understand the customer's needs.

I was very pleased with our room, and the view was awesome. The beds aren't very soft, but that's Europe for ya. Overall, the hotel was the best part of Amalfi (the tourist trap town where good food and service is non-existant). Stay on your way through and you'll love it. The drive and our room were the highlights.

Visitor beware not every room at the La Bussola has a sea view. I've just spent a week there in one of their standard rooms. The sinlge room, which I can only describe as compact, was on the back of the hotel and looked out on to the the rock face, about fifteen feet away from the window, consequently, the room was always dark and needed the electric light on all the time. You'd be advised to pay the extra and be guaranteed a room with a sea view. Also, the hotel sits between two busy roads so you will get traffic and people noise wherever your room is. However, the hotel is clean, the food reasonable, the staff fairly friendly and it is an easy walk in to the centre of Amalfi. Above all the coastline is breathtakingly beautiful.
