Great location and cosy just a short walk from the sea and downtown.

If I go to Amalfi accommodation alone here best location you can't ask.

Hotel was in the perfect spot, right at the city center and close to the coast. Staff were also great!

An old hotel full of charm just a step away from the sea.
An amazing view and the typical Southern welcome, cozy rooms and the staff makes you feel at home. Very valid also the restaurant service, the only flaw in the breakfast not exactly suitable for the years 2000 would go a little magazine, recommended for couples and families.

Outdated rooms and washrooms. Centrally located. The food from the restaurant below was ok. Breakfast was nothing special.

Historic hotel in a perfect location. Only real complaint would be the bed. It was almost as historic as the hotel. Great breakfast, friendly staff, Wifi costs extra. If driving, call ahead to get the procedure. Someone will meet you near the hotel where you have to get your luggage and walk to the hotel. They take your car and park it until you leave. Unexpectedly confusing but apparently necessary. Parking costs extra too.

There is a beautiful sea air.

They canceled our reservation a week before we got there because they overbooked the hotel but then they did NOT inform us that they canceled it. We showed up and we were then informed (as we were standing at the reception desk) that we did not have a room. I do not understand how canceling a customers booking a week before and not informing them is a viable business model.

Location is great, right in front on the Amalfi sea coast. The staff were a bit rude and not too helpful when needed, but the hotel is with its price.

Apart from the great location (my room faced with balcony on the main square of Amalfi), for the rest I give a 4 to the room, a 3 to the bathroom, a 6 to the cleanliness, a 6.5 to breakfast, a 7 to the staff.

Rooms have a nice view on the sea. The overall hotel could also be a bit refurbished. There is no free Wi-Fi. They charge you additional 5 euros and the signal can be cought only at the reception.

The front staff lady was rude when we first got there, and then she was polite the rest of the time. The place is a bit outdated, however the town is beautiful. I would suggest renting a boat and going to the sea after seeing the town.

I have been here a couple of years ago I my wife and 2 children all beautiful. Qualified staff and would stay again.

Dont recommend restaurant and bar "Il Prontonimo" at the 1st floor! — Totally different dish from the menu — Bad taste and small portion — Some staff was rude If you don't want to make a bad memory of Almalfi, you should find other place.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon in a standard water facing balcony room. The location of the hotel was wonderful locating you right in the center of the action and very near to the shops and transportation. You are literally 30 seconds from all of the shops, buses, boats, taxis and scooters. If you are looking for comfort this probably isn't where you want to stay. The bed (hard as a rock) and bedding is very low quality. The bathroom in our room was very basic with a shower only that leaked all over the floor every time you took a shower. We did have a balcony that faced the water and that was wonderful, probably the best part of the hotel. Breakfast is very basic with breads some meat and juice, nothing hot though. You are required to pay to use the internet and it only works in the lobby (3 EUR per hour). All but one employee did not speak very much English and were not extremely helpful. Other than the location this hotel is very average or less.

Located a few paces from the Amalfi Cathedral, this hotel offers spectacular views. The price is that you are awakened at 7am by the impossibly loud bells of the Amalfi Cathedral, which proceed to remind you every 15 minutes thereafter that sleep is a thing that happens to other tourists, far away. However, if you can get past that little annoyance, you'll see that this hotel has a lot to offer. The corner shower has hot water with good pressure. Breakfast is varied and yummy. The staff is kind and courteous. The air conditioning is quiet and effective. Other guests cannot be heard through the walls. The restaurants nearby are plentiful and their food is delicious. Everything you could want to visit in Amalfi is but a short walk away (all uphill, but. Close, anyway). And the view is positively breathtaking.

Me and my wife went to Hotel Fontana in Amalfi for a second honeymoon after our 25th marriage anniversary. This is is family-owned and family-coordinated hotel, very friendly. Well, the staff (Signor Tadeu and Signora Luana&brother) did the best they could to assure a nice staying. The room with a fantastic view to the ocean, very very clean, with a fantastic full moonlight at a reasonable price. They arranjed a parking-place for our car (cheaper then the public one in front at the hotel), arranjed a nice rent-a-scooter, and suggested a lot of places to go and thing to do at Amalfi. We had a very pleasant staying and, for sure, will be back as soon as we can! We are programming to stay for a month at this place next year. Enjoy Amalfi.
