My friend and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. We couldn't sleep the first 3 nights as there are loud noises coming from the hotel piping. We talked several times with the staff in order to find a solution. The staff had nothing to offer us so we talked the third night with the owner who assured us to change rooms the next morning and that we were going to have a discount. We were finally able to change rooms. This time, there was no problem with piping but ants! The owner has finally never wanted to give us a discount while the first function of a hotel room is to be able to sleep properly.
Other points to highlight:
The cleanliness missing: when we arrived in the room, we were able to find that the shower had not been cleaned. There was a woman's hair in the shower!
— Air conditioning defective: it was almost not working and was very noisy. It is important to note that I made this trip in late May-early June and it was already very hot.
— Unfriendly staff: a smile at our arrival and breakfast would have been appreciated
— Limited staff hours: reception is not open all day. So if you have a problem (as has been the case for us), you will have to call with your phone and therefore pay long distance charges.
Additional mention:
The hotel is not reachable by car.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel and did not sleep properly the first 3 nights due to faulty piping.
The noise looked like work at the Jackhammer. We informed the front desk who told us that the problem was going to be settled. That was not the case. As the piping is old, the problem is not going to be solved any time soon.
We had a discussion with the owner of the property directly at 11:30 pm (as the front desk seemed not to care about our problem), he had promised us to change our room and make us a one night discount on our stay.
They have not kept their promise on the rebate. As they have a good rating on the reviews I think they prefer to earn more money than to compensate their client…
Other negative points:
The air conditioning was working very badly.
The shower was dirty when arriving (full of hair in the shower)
Bathroom towels are low ranges; When we wiped out we found each other with a lot of plush towels on the body.
We found ants in the room (only 5).
The reception was very cold from start to finish.
Positives:
The breakfast was good and the view of the sea is very nice while we were taking breakfast.
In summary:
Far too expensive and note far too high for the benefit received.
Very disappointed.

Excellent Location Cleanliness 2 steps from the center…

Great location, few steps of Duomo (totally by stairs). Hotel have simple decoration, but a good ocean view.

Best view for the best bang for buck hotel in the Positano region. Have a public paid carpark near by, for those who drive there (very narrow roads, hire smallest car if possible). Yes you have a good view, but be prepare for long climb when coming back to the hotel as you can see, Hotel is up on the slope of Positano hence the good view.

Great hotel to stay at while in Amalfi for a coupe of days. Our room had a view of the coast, which gave us nice scenery to go to sleep and wake up to. While I took the air conditioning for granted (since this is my first Italian hotel), it was invaluable to not have to sleep with the windows open and invite bugs in. The negatives are that they (the hotel) wasn't very responsive when we made our reservation. We asked them to confirm our booking since we added a couple nights on to our stay, and it took them a long time to get back to us (weeks of I remember correctly). They also didn't have a room for us our first night, but they arranged for us to stay at a different hotel the first night. Not terrible, but mildly frustrating. Be warned that there are about 80 steps to reach the hotel, and their breakfast isn't great. We decided to skip their's and go to local places instead.

Very nice terrace where breakfast is served. We had no problem with the 77 steps to the hotel. Nice room, close to everything.

Rooms are a good size, decorative a little old fashioned in my opinion however very clean and the bathroom has a great shower. Breakfast is a normal mainland European (cold meats and sweets). Well worth the money and in a great location. Would recommend.

A rare jewel in such a lovely place! We stayed only one night but it was a lovely stay. Our room had a window with a seaside view. It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The bed wasn't typically hard but soft and provided a restful nights sleep. The bathroom was the most interesting part also being spacious with beautiful blue tile sourced locally. Complimentary breakfast was included but with no eggs.

We came for a wedding in Amalfi quiet place cozy and well organized.

Great views and close to the piazza and the coast. Service was great and the internet worked consistently.

We stayed at Hotel Croce during the footrace Coast Coast with their families place excellent beautiful rooms spotless and with an extraordinary view. Thanks to Ms IMMA and staff for their helpfulness and friendliness.
