An absolute disaster! Rooms are tiny, microscopic places where all you can do is turn around and go back out. And honestly going out of this b&b is the best thing you can do.
Starting with doors that can be locked with a key only in a way that they keep making awful, loud noises whenever somebody moves a bit in the common space.
Walking in, you start to realize you’re almost in the basement — the only window is a small, squared hole high up on the wall. Just wait until your first shower…
From now on nothing will ever be dry. Whole bathroom is soaking wet; the walls, the toilet, the mirror, all you had brought with yourself to take the shower, including clothes. The ventilation system can’t deal with steam, nor can the drain deal with water. No surprise there’s mold :)
In general, you can hear people from upstairs, outside of your room and outside of the building. Reaching out to the staff solves nothing, they seem surprised to hear about the noises, but when you ask others sleeping here they’ll all be complaining about it.
Frankly, if only I knew Italian, I’d report this place, as I don’t think it meets any norms.
The only good thing is the rooftop over your head and a short distance to the train station.

Room itself was OK: clean, decently furnished, much-needed aircon, even a few bits and pieces like water bottle, bathroom amenities etc. The problem was that there was nobody at the property. They kept pestering me with messages asking when I'd arrive (which I found hard to estimate, because Google Maps gave me a wrong walking route that was longer than it needed to be from the ferry port to the hotel, but not being familiar with the streets of Bari, I didn't know if Google knew something about it that I didn't). They gave a number to call, but when I tried, it just made one very long beep and then disconnected. As soon as I got Wi-Fi on the ferry, which only worked near the coast, I told them my estimated arrival time via the Booking. Com messenger.
And yet why did they even need to know it when they had no plans to be there? They apparently sent me a message when I was getting off the ferry and walking through the town, demanding that I send them a scan of my passport. My phone is a flip phone, it was dead as a doornail because there are hardly any sockets on ferries to charge anything and I wasn't going to get my laptop out in an area like that with all the graffiti and flyposters and dishevelled men walking around with no shoes on, so I didn't see it. I got into the building by sheer luck when two residents of another flat were leaving and I showed them my reservation to prove I had a right to be there, because there's no bell on the outside.

We stayed at this property for just one night. Driven by the positive reviews we booked. The room was very small, just think that the queen-size bed was attached to the wall on the side, the wardrobe was non-existent, just a coat hanger. As for breakfast, it takes place in a small corner, called the kitchen, with a refrigerator where the necessary items for breakfast are arranged inside. There is only one small table to sit on and it is insufficient for all guests. We didn't even find a tray to take breakfast to the room so we had a cup of cappuccino standing up. It is located 10/15 minutes walk from the station. Furthermore, we haven't seen the owners at all…
