Close to sites. Rooms need an upgrade and a proper cleaning. Staff were not very helpful or friendly and couldn't answer questions about public transport or give directions. Good views and swimming pool area. Food was excellent.

Well located with a great view to the Jerusalem wall. A walk distance to the old city. All the staff are kind and profesional. The breakfast is ok. The facilities are ok. The room are small but comfortable with good beds.

Nice hotel, beautiful location and views. This is a historic building, which adds a lot of charm. It also houses the cable car historical rooms, which is very interesting. However, the rooms are a bit dated, and the breakfast buffet is just meh.

It maybe located close to the old city! The hotel leaves alot to be desired. No hot water for a day! No room service! No bar. Bathroom toilet paper is a premium as there is non at times! Customer service is horrible front desk is just nasty! Cleanliness is not kosher. Would not recommend!

Not all of the rooms are nice…

I loved the experience I had in Jerusalem. The people at Mt Zion were polite and especially accommodating. It was decorated in a quaint old world way. The only two things which were distractions were some of the plants were dying! A little thing really. Also it seemed the bed wss kind of hard. But everyone's needs vary. I slept well enough. Overall, a great ecperience!

Our upgraded, king size “Citadel” room offered a really awful hotel experience. The bed was very poor quality — 2 foam and spring twin ‘mattresses’ pushed together on a wood frame in place of a proper boxspring. The pillows were lumps of foam … and not new. The linens and towels were old and tired. The decor was also old and tired, in the rooms as well as the lobby. We stayed 2 nights at the end of what had been up until that point a wonderful 8-day trip to Israel. Unfortunately the subpar furnishings should have tipped us off that we weren’t going to get much sleep at the Mount Zion Hotel … and we didn’t. Both nights, fire alarms went off from activity in the kitchen, and there was also a period for about an hour each night, around midnight, that we heard very loud noises — large racks of metal trays being shuttled around in the kitchen? Who knows. Highlights: the breakfast is good. The views from the hotel are beautiful. We will definitely not return.

Clean, friendly staff. Walls are a bit thin as we can easily hear our neighbors but overall good. I would stay again.

This hotel is great. It has character, history and class. The front desk staff is friendly andand helpfully. The restaurant service is amazing and food fresh and delicious.

Incredible building with a great view of Jerusalem. Short walk into the old city. Staff were all friendly and helpful, but the rooms themselves felt a little dated. With some investment and modernisation this could be an incredible hotel.

The best hotel in Jerusalem. Not cheap but absolutely value for money. The staff are the nicest and most helpful you could ever find. Specifically the receprion Manager Shmulik. Ask for rooms in the old wing, or the junior suites. They are beautiful with allot of atmosphere.

It is necessary to take with a view on the old City high floor. The Hall on the 6th floor, our room was downstairs-on the fifth-a very beautiful view; The swimming pool is only open during the season. There are rooms with carpeted floors and without. Overall good insulation, interesting interior, great view from the hall, 10 mins walk to Jaffa Gate. The view from the street was very noisy. The breakfasts are good. Porridge is only in the form of cereal salads. Well, it's delicious. In Shabbat everything functions in normal mode. The place is good. Taxi to the airport 40-60 minutes 320-350 shekels.

Very nice hotel, service to the top, superb rooms but a little noisy, exceptional location with view of the Temple Mount.

Charming and somewhat renovated hotel, nice and helpful staff, clean rooms and clean pool located in the middle of Jerusalem. However not without some quircks like only only 1 outlet available in a room to change devices, bathroom door locks not working, lights turning on and off by them selves, if you are willing to ignore some small issues like that you will enjoy your stay.

Beautiful old stone building with charm and character. Also has fabulous views of the Mount of Olives and the Old City of Jerusalem. Helpful staff always willing to suggest excellent restaurants and organise tours. Great pool area and gardens. Excellent location for visiting the area.

Beautiful views. However the hotel itself is a little dated and it's maintenance a bit lacking. The bed is not very comfortable. If u do not observe the Shabbat the breakfast on Saturday is disappointing. I think in the summer when the pool is active and u can use the beautiful grounds it is more recommended.

Stunning grounds and rooms, very authentic feel and walking distance (half hour tops) from the old city. The food was great too!

My Wife and I stand there while on a Tour of the Holy land. It was easily the best hotel that we stayed at in Israel. The Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The Food served was top notch. But the high point was the pool. As we were there in June and it made for an excellent respite from the heat. Since it was deliciously cold and very refreshing. All in all an excellent experience and well worth the coin.

This hotel is one of my favorite places to stay while in Jerusalem. The location provides excellent views of many historical sites such as the Mount of Olives, the ancient walls of the city, and the tower of David. The Dung Gate of the old city is a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. Many of these points of interest can be viewed from the hotel lobby through large arched windows near the hotel's bar area. There is comfortable seating in the lobby for casual meetings and enjoying a favorite drink from the small bar. The hotel is colorful with many Turkish influences. Since the building is located on a Jerusalem hillside you enter into the lobby with guest rooms on floors below and above. The restaurant is one of my favorites since it allows spacious dining with great food. The breakfast is awesome! The fitness room is adequate for the hotel size and the outdoor Jacuzzi located in the garden area with great views of Jerusalem city is wonderful. The hotel does not have a shop for purchasing soft drinks, bottled water and snacks. This is the only thing missing in this otherwise great lodging experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next stay at Mount Zion.

My first visit and could not have asked for a better place to kick off my trip. Walking distance to the old city, mall and Ben Yehuda st (a little far). The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is amazing and the people could not be nicer.

I visited in May and stayed here. My second visit. I was thrilled with this hotel. It was located well for me in the southwest corner of the old city walls. Walking distance to Jaffa Gate. I loved the building and grounds, the employees were very friendly and all seemed genuinely glad to see the new arrivals. The room was great, all the basics but with a few more than I expected. (the bath, closet space, view from the window. This hotel is sparkling clean, secure, prepared for any event. There were several shops there and they were great to deal with, love to negotiate and got a great deal. High Standards here. I Loved this place.
