This restaurant was recommended to us. 9 if us thought we were going out for a lovely meal.. In fairness the food was fab. We were seated at 6.30 and were still there after 9 o clock. Service was a total disgrace. We couldn't even get dessert as it was gone so late we had to get the kids home. Very very disappointing.

Window seat request not granted although booked months ago. Starter crab bisque plenty fresh meat but rather heavy base. Mains arrived an hour later. Her rib eye was fine. My seafood platter very filling (caution: mayonnaise on the prawns and crab meat). Service okay: very busy, a bit chaotic.

Geographically well placed to visit Northern Ireland, not great restaurant, being by the sea of fishing boats next door, they served us canned shrimp and fish and frozen mussels.

3. 5 stars*** Based on 1night stay. Beautiful views of the sea. Decent ‘no frills’ food. Friendly and helpful staff. Big bedroom. Very basic ‘self-catering’ facility in the bedroom. (tea/coffee area). No fridge so milk and water were warm. Hall-way can be a bit noisy with people passing through at times. Also, a continuous noise of what sounded like a loud electric shower powering up kept occurring every 20seconds or so lasting for about 5 seconds at a time. (Not sure what it was! ). It really annoyed me and I found it difficult to get to sleep. Beautiful location, nice food but I feel over priced for what it is.

We ate in the pub. The food was low level average (Burger dry and chips had a taste of old frying-oil). Kind service.

Good food, and reasonably priced. Be sure to stop into the wee pub through a small door to the right as you walk in — — you will meet lively characters and a warm welcome every time!

The tavern is not the best looking place I have ever been but food was good, servant was kind and understood my wife special needs. We imagine the view should be fantastic but it was raining to much to see something more then the pier.
