Very nice stay, very clean rooms and hotel, the food and service was excellent all round good hotel. Staff very friendly and went out of there way to help.

Totally 5 out of 5 star treatment from the moment we arrived, food was absolutely delish from starters, mains to dessert, room was beautiful clean and spacious as was bathroom, the hotel itself was spotless, staff were extremely friendly and go out of their way to help, music was excellent, will definitely stay again, thank you all.

Yes it's a lovely hotel the staff r great and a a beautiful view of the water from the rooms.

I can't sing the praises of this hotel high enough it was my first visit but not my last. The hotel itself is wonderful with marine views spacious rooms and just a wonderful place to visit. The staff were also amazingly friendly courteous and always with a helpful smile. The food was just delicious generous portion sizes and cocktails also lol. Would recommend this hotel to all most definitely will be returning. Thank you to all x.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Waterford Marina Hotel.
Check in was quick and easy with the lovely Louise and Ann.
the room was very spacious and the friendly porter Robbie was very helpful.
the next morning breakfast was fabulous and the duty manager Michael was extremely nice and friendly.
Also met the accommodation manager Helen the next morning who was all chat in the corridor.
Overall really enjoyable stay and will definitely be back.

Very overpriced at €125 for a single person staying for one night. I was expecting a whole lot more. On arrival there was very limited parking & the designated Hotel Car park was full so staff advised me I could park in one of their designated wheelchair spaces & gave my car make & model otherwise I was looking at being clamped if I parked elsewhere, I was told. On my late checkin at approx 7:55pm I hadn't eaten since 2pm therefore a hotel meal would have been lovely, but I was told that the restaurant was very busy but I could ring the Bar and reserve a place which was also busy. I enquired could I get room service and the receptionist said "no you do not have any room service". The number she wrote down for me for the Bar Food wasn't being answered. So I gave up and ran a bath. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke? why? coming in through vent. There were towels provided, a bath mat, a soap bar, a plastic cup,? a shower gel wall dispenser but no bubble bath foam or bath gel provided. The bed was very comfortable, room temperature was very warm but I did get a good night sleep once the guy whistling in the corridor and a lady speaking loudly on the corridor left. The breakfast was lovely, plenty choice & encouraged by staff & were very helpful. I don't think I would stay there again unfortunately.

I stay in Hotels quiet a lot when travelling.
The Water Marina Hotels staff seem very inexperienced with even the simply tasks when it comes to customer service. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 30 years and to spite the current situation with Coronavirus people still have to eat.
When booking was told it wouldn’t be an issue to dine at the hotel, however on arrival was waiting for one and a half hours before being seated. Another hour and a half passed before my mains hit the table remember current government guidelines state that I should leave after 105 minutes. The food wasn’t great but then again it wasn’t bad either if you get what I’m trying to say.
Glassware seemed to be an issue for some guests as they ran out of wine glasses to spite not being busy in my opinion as capacity is greatly reduced do to coronavirus.
Apology after apology from the duty manager Which is never good as he is supposed to ensure the staff are up to the job. Other than the breakfast staff who were very pleasant and accommodating the evening staff just seemed to be on the back foot from the word go.

Lovely rooms, fantastic food and very attentive staff. Highly recommended. Special mention for lovely Check in Receptionist.

My wife and I spent last weekend here and it was an absolute pleasure. The staff were friendly the food was great and the room was more than comfortable I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Just spent a fabulous 2 nights at the Waterford Marina Hotel. Beautiful spotlessly clean Hotel, so close to city centre shopping. Room was cosy & warm. Shower was extremely powerful and lots of hot water available. The restaurant was fantastic, as a coeliac I rarely enjoy eating out due to limited options. That was definitely not the case in the Waterford Marina hotel. Susan was the name of the young girl who greeted us on arrival for breakfast, she was a font of knowledge and so friendly and helpful. A definite gem among the hotel staff. There was a vast variety to choose from including gluten free bread, cereals and a full gluten free fry up, sausages, pudding, hash browns etc. All served piping hot. Dinner was another huge success with plenty to choose from, the soup was gorgeous and the beef was melt in the mouth. Dessert was a disappointment though, after being spoiled for choice throughout our stay the dessert option was generic "fruit salad" or "ice cream. Meanwhile my husband had a delectable selection of fudge cake, cheesecake & ice cream in a waffle basket. A small gripe but a nice dessert would literally have been the icing on an otherwise perfect cake. We will definitely be booking the Waterford Marina hotel anytime we stay in Waterford.

Stayed in the Marina Hotel Saturday night for the 2nd time this year and again it did not disappoint. Excellent friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, great lounge bar, lovely breakfast, safe carpark and city centre location what more do you need.

Lovely hotel just back after a brilliant nights stay the room was lovely staff so helpful and the beautiful bar food today finished off a great time will def be back x.

The service here is exceptional at every level! From the moment we walked through the doors and were greeted by reception through our evening in the bar/restaurant, the staff was kind and most helpful and the entire location is warm, clean and inviting and includes a wonderful view of the riverfront!

Rooms very clean you see what u get lovely jesture by the hotel box of chocolates in our room for our Anniversary.

We were welcomed so nicely at arrival, rooms are nice nothing to fancy but cosy and clean. View was nice, good location aswell. Food menu could do with a little update maybe some extra items. Breakfeast is lovely plenty to choose from. Would come back again.

4 stars ⭐ There were some renovations going on at the Towers, so we were put in the Marina. Those in the Towers were relieved. But, I think we got the better end of the deal. Rooms weren't bad, carpeted. The breakfast buffet was nice (and even had hashbrowns). The bar had good food and prices (try a pizza with goat cheese you won't be disappointed), never crowded, and overlooking the river. Location was pretty walkable into town.

A very good restaurant with great service. The location is perfect for exploring Waterford.

Only arrived today, great service at check-in. Room great. Great view of the water.

Went for a weekend away with the baby the gave us a lovely big room and travel cot. At breakfast the owner even came over and chatted awhile. The staff were lovely and helpfull even with a wandering curious toddler. The spa and pool were across the carpark and the pool had a kids section which my little one loved but the pool was busy. The food was good and the carvery was lovely. There was a park and a playground across from the hotel and the hotel itself is beside the river in the heart of the town. It made for a lovely weekend with the family.

Lovely clean hotel. Staff very nice. Joanne was great. My only problem was breakfast. The tables were not set. So you were shown to a table then you have to go and get your cutlery, napkin side plate. Make you tea /Coffee go back to the table — no pots just mugs/cups then get your breakfast. I would have preferred for the staff to set the table.

Visit every year with the family and we are always treated so well. The staff can’t do enough for us and the food is excellent. The only shame is that the breakfast service is now fully self serve, and the restaurant menu is the same as the bar menu.

Nothing fancy here with bare bones hotel rooms and bathrooms. Be aware there is NO air conditioning so ask for a fan if it’s warm outside. My shower curtain was moldy but they replaced it quickly when asked. Breakfast is good — standard fare. But it’s got an epic coffee machine that makes fresh cappuccinos and espressos. Best part is the central location to shopping and restaurants and if you ask for a room on the river it is wonderfully peaceful at night.

The breakfast didn't take us off our stool, there was no cheese and no sausage. At night it was noisy through the bar downstairs, so you couldn't open a window, but there was no air conditioning. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Revised mold spores in the bathroom. Central location in Waterford. Parking/parking garage free of charge. The hotel is located by the river, you can watch seagulls. We wouldn't go back there because two days is enough for the Viking town of Waterford.

Stayed at the Marina hotel for my brothers birthday 2 June for 2 nights, the lady that checked us in was lovely, as we arrived very very early, she got room sorted very quickly, nothing was any trouble, we had a great room, loads off space, and a lovely box of chocolates and message from hotel for his birthday! Lovely touch (thank you) we had music the 2 nights there, all staff very helpful, breakfast was fantastic and as much as you could eat! Loved it so much going again in 4 weeks, well done to all team at the Marina. Happy customer.

Old hotel. Generally clean. Our room was big with one double and two single. With exception of the shower, hot and cold water in the bathroom are individually faucets. I wonder how one can use the water in winter.

The rooms are huge but the bathrooms are outdated and dirty. There was also some kind of young men's sports team here staying in the room above us and the were incredibly loud and easy to hear through the floor. Would not recommend this hotel. See pictures to judge for yourself.

A wonderfully located hotel! Cozy and comfortable with a great staff. The beds were a bit old though and could probably be replaced. All in all, we'd stay here again.

The hotel was lovely. The view over the marina was pleasant and the staff and breakfast we're really great. Would stay again!

Great rooms, cleaned daily, exceptionally friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, great dining in the bar, close to local attractions. Best rooms available at an affordable price, couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The room is a decent size and the hotel is definitely close to the city center. The food in the restaurant was very good.

This is a lovely hotel very clean food lovely and staff very friendly. It is so close to pubs restaurants local attractions and the town centre there is also a lovely park and skate park 5 mins walk from. The hotel… They also have secure parking included.

Room was nice and service too… secure car park But the walking way have strong smell of smoke while it was non smoking area…

Lovely room. Beautiful location. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant is exceptional — much better than expected for a three star hotel. Cannot fault the services in the hotel. Would highly recommend. Superb value for money!

Hotel is full OK, standard breakfast.

Is 10 good for the exta mile on service. Marina has 10 then. Is 10 good for the smile and greeting. Marina has another 10 then. What if your car battery flat and Michael the Manager with his staff push you around the car park on a very cold January Day. You can buy five star beds but give me 5 Star Service anytime. Basic but good enough for a couple of nights. Room was clean, nice river views, a major plus, nice quiet room (couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms). The shower was a but of a challenge, the pressure was extreme, would rip your skin off, difficult to adjust.

Had a lovely stay last night, my friend treated me for my birthday, rooms were lovely, we had a lovely view of the marina, I would have brought the bed home with me if I could of got away with it, so comfy. The staff were lovely and helpful, the night porter was lovely. The food was fab in the restaurant, highly recommend the thai green curry and creme brulee, they even added a candle and wrote happy birthday in coulis, it was a lovely touch, would definitely stay again … Thanks so much guys.

Before I write my review I have to say some of the previous reviewer's can not have been staying in the same hotel. My Wife and I have stayed here 4 or 5 times in the past 6 years. We have had rooms that overlook the car park and public appartments as well as rooms overlooking the river and all rooms were great. A room is only to sleep and get showered etc so why complain that it's too small. Now as for the food, we always find it to be good and the waiting staff are very curtious, helpful and friendly. All Waterford Marine hotel staff we find are very very helpful etc and a few have gone the extra mile to help me when I have asked for their help. All in all we would give it a 10/10 but ours is only 1 of many reviews and as yet we haven't had any problems. Keep up the good work Waterford Marine.

We found it to be very comfortable and with extremely friendly staff. It has a very nice bar with great food and the secure parking is an added bonus. We could highly recommend this hotel. We will visit again.

Bed was very comfy and breakfast was good with several different choices. Was a but hard to find though. Great views out the windows.

Didn't stay at the hotel. Visited colleague who were. They had food and said it was amazing. We had a beer, which was of the finest order. Staff were great and even kindly chased us down the street when we had forgotten to pay the bill… but in all seriousness they were great. Would like to stay and see how it compare to other hotels in the area.

Very slow service lacking bar and waiting staff. Very slow and bad set up for d breakfast buffet. Bedroom were nice.

Conveniently located on the waterfront. They had secure garage parking which was welcome. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in close waking distance for more restaurants if you crave variety. The rooms were small and clean. The general appearance of the hotel looks like they keep thing up. Price was reasonable and I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, lovely water pressure and large towels. Stayed two nights and the staff was always very nice and welcoming. We walked literally everywhere from the hotel. Only small complaint would be music can be heard late at night from the bar, but we were usually too tired to notice. Bar staff very informative!

Hotel near the sea with very nice and clean rooms. Parking, WI FI and good breakfast included in the price. Quiet with professional and helpful staff.

Friendly and great food. Rooms good size and ok some other reviews say rooms are dated but they are clean and at end of day if coming to Waterford you are either tourist or working like myself so really how much time are you going to spend in your room so who cares of not to your taste. Secure parking better than other hotels in area and quiet away from main road but still city easily accessible.

This is our second visit to the Waterford Marina Hotel. I agree this hotel is dated and needs quite a bit of TLC but other than that we really had no complaints, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent, the food was also excellent, as with any hotel it's the luck of the draw on room allocation and on both occasions we have been lucky enough to have a view of the river.

A nice place to stay, near the water. No A/C in the room, but a great breeze through our window. One interesting note is that to run the power in your rooms you place the room key card in a reader just inside the door.

Lovely hotel. We had a great time and were treated really well. I love its location and we had a great view. The food was great and the car park is really secure. I would definitely visit again. Good value for money.

Sadly represented online as quite picturesque but dreary and our room faced across the alley to apartments with washing hanging off baclconies. Then across the hall a door was wide open to the dirty linen holding room also containing bloody tissue. We closed the door for other guests but found it open again shortly after. Food for dinner was good, breakfast is a buffet but staff serve you, had to ask three times for coffee & toast. We won't be back.

Our stay at the Waterford Marina Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is well-located as it's an easy walk to the Waterford Crystal Museum, Viking Triangle, and the River Suir. We walked to the bars on John St. Both nights and it was a very safe, well-lit walk to and from. The hotel is clean and well-kept. Although it seemed fairly old, it didn't feel worn out. The staff was friendly throughout our stay. For the very reasonable price, it fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Waterford.

I booked a room for 13 of us. We could not get over how nice everyone at your hotel was. We were treated with smiles, and your staff were very helpful The made our visit to the hotel memorable The rooms were fab and the views breath taking. Accomodation was very clean, comfortable, and staff were all very friendly and courteous. Food was not up to standard, breakfast items were cold and some items over cooked, on the first morning of our stay, better the second day. Dinner was ok, not the standard you would expect in a hotel. Wifi was hit and miss kept disconnecting. Cannot fault the staff they were 5* in their dealings with us. Housekeeping excellent and rooms were very nice. I would stay again but would book Room only. Sorry :).

My family had a brilliant weekend here to celebrate the year of the Gathering all 59 of us. We were all really well looked after A big thank you to all the staff and management for all they did nothing was too much trouble, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great break away.

Very good 3* with free car park and Wi-Fi. Well located with nearby restaurants and friendly staff.
