Just back from a 2 night stay with our 3 year old absolutely fantastic from start to finish, from room to staff and everything else thank you we will be back very soon A+

Great hotel in great location. Beautiful decor lovely spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean. Fabulous food and above all very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed in Killarney a few times in different hotels but have to say the International was the best will definitely stay there again.

Amazing staff great food great location.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in Hannigans Bar last night. I have to say that the night was great. The food was great, the staff were great and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere for good food and friendly staff.

My self and my husband called in there today, we are on a mini staycation, had a lovely lunch and few drinks. Lovely staff and very helpful. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Killarney. Excellent food and staff and the rooms were spotless. Only downside was creaking floors in bedrooms and above so could hear guests moving around. Also noise from downstairs, heard blender for smoothies and the empting/ banging of the coffee sumps. The lights for the outside shine directly into bedrooms which cannot be completely darkened with curtains.

We spent an absolutely wonderful two nights while in Killarney… wish we could stay longer! We usually do not dine in a hotel restaurant but did so both evenings due to the delicious food and wonderful service. The Triple room was spacious and clean. The modernized bathroom with large tub and separate glass shower was refreshing in Europe. Beautiful reception and sitting parlor to people watch. Just a great time!

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are wonderful and the common areas are the coziest ever.

This hotel is stunning! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to the train station as well as shops. The room has many amenities that other hotels did not provide during our stay in Ireland. We are beyond happy here!

Stayed here a few weeks ago, the staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough to help and to make you welcome and assist you any way they could,, they were really great, the room I stayed in was absolutely beautiful… the breakfast in the dining room was cooked as you ordered it, What a huge difference to the buffet (this is just my personal opinion). I will definetely go back again, thank you all…

The staff was so helpful and welcoming. John helped us with any information we needed as well as recommendations. When some young guys came to play pool in the room we were sitting in he came right away to make sure they left as they were not hotel guests. He made sure we were ok. They were extremely cautious with our son’s food allergies. Les had the kitchen ensure that it was clean so they could make a nut free birthday cake. This hotel is wonderful and I would stay here any time we visit!

Next time I go back to Ireland, I will absolutely be staying here again! Great staff. The rooms and amenities are very well done. And located in a very convenient part of Killarney.

Surprisingly large, with a lot of hallways, clearly added on over the many years. Furnishings are nice, but a map would be useful. Restaurant was good, staff were excellent. I still cant resist saying it, The hotel looks like the one from the shining, but the service and rooms were excellent.

Hotel staff were excellent and accommodating. The rooms were a bit small, but was expecting that, due to the hotels age. No refrigerator in room amd you have to go all the way to the bar for ice. The bathrooms are perfectly clean and updated. The breakfast is great and worth having in the morning. The view from the rooms on the front side of the hotel are lovely. Overall the service was excellent and I would stay here again.

I am Very very disappointed with this place. It is an extremely beautiful hotel but the customer service was terrible! They had an attitude every time we called the front desk and barley ever brought stuff to our room and had us come down and get it. We asked for a cup of ice and water our first night and got charged 3€ and the second night didn’t get charged at all. That makes us think they just took our money. When we first checked in they told us the parking was free behind the white building. So we went and parked there, next morning we got to our car and there was a ticked for 40€. The nice part was the lady at the front desk said they would pay it. Like I said very disappointed because it is a beautiful hotel but staff was terrible. On top of it there is no air conditioning and the window only opened about 3 inches. Not coming back and do not recommend it.

This was by far my favorite hotel during our 2 week honeymoon, most of which we spent driving to multiple towns in Ireland. Louise at the front desk was so kind and helpful each day, and she even had a beautiful tray of sweets delivered to our room which read “Happy Honeymoon. ” The location was great, central and easy to walk around and explore the town. The breakfast was delicious, and they staff were all highly attentive. The room itself was beautiful and spacious and we loved the jacuzzi tub!

Very nice hotel with a restaurant. Staff was amazing friendly. We were there during a heat wave (for the locals anyhow) and the room had A\C. Very rare for Ireland. The room was great and well appointed. Right next door to a national park with a castle. Lot's of pub's-resturants within minutes of walking distance. Overall highly recommend.

Great location, amazing rooms and friendly staff. On arrival to my room I had a very warm welcoming. There were chocolates on my pillow and a plate with welcome on it which was a very nice touch. The international hotel is located in the heart of Killarney which was ideal as I didn’t have to get any taxis during my stay, I was within walking distance to where I needed to go. I really enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend.

It has a super cool old European design style, and the staff is friendly. However, they don't have wash cloths and there are stairs in the middle of the corridors the rooms are on, so it is very difficult to get luggage to and from your room.

The International Hotel is a fine place to stay during your trip to Killarney. Conveniently located right in the center of town, next to the Killarney House and close to Ross Castle, the parks, and all the shopping and food you want. The common areas are very classy in design, and enough so that apparently you cannot come down to breakfast in pajamas or have your kids do the same. Rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were well done. We had an Executive Double, so your mileage may vary with other room types. Elevators are slow and small, and if you're on the third floor getting luggage to your room will be a struggle involving two elevators and some steps.

From the time we entered the hotel we were catered for at the highest standard. … staff, food and surroundings area 5 star… I will be recommending this hotel to my family and friends.

I stayed in exec suite. Room was very high quality. Hotel staff were pleasent and food was good in the hotel bar and restaurant. Walking distance to train station was ideal. What made the difference was I actually ordered two whole breakfast plates to room service because I'm an idiot and just wanted two eggs. They only charged me 6$. That was super nice! Would stay again.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, always felt we were looked after. Breakfast is really nice, always felt full and had a diverse menu for all tastes. It’s within walking distance to almost everything and has busses close by for a lot of touristy things. Beds are pretty good, we never even thought about the room in regards to improvements. Decent selection of TV channels, we always had something to watch. Quaint bar had reasonably priced drinks, stays open ‘til late which is a very nice plus. Fantastic hotel, would recommend to everyone.

Gorgeous hotel plenty of staff and very helpful and friendly especially the breakfast staff. The room is done in a very high standard. Only down fall the back of hotel is a little noisey but you are in a beautiful part of Ireland and very busy. Location is everything and this hotel has it.

Very nice hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. I would stay here again. The only downside is the hotel does not have it's own car park, so you must use s public car park up the road.

I stayed in the hotel on the 4th and 5th of January with my family for my 40th Birthday. On arrival to my room there were chocolates on my pillow and a plate with Happy 40th Birthday written in chocolate. I thought it was a beautiful touch. We all had dinner in the restaurant that evening and it was beautiful and the waitress even cut up a cake we brought ourselves. The breakfast both mornings was delicious. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay and my family a wonderful experience :)

Really welcoming when we arrived. Maik showed us to our room and was also very friendly. We had a really beautiful meal on New Years Eve served by friendly and excellent staff. We could recommend this hotel.

Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, comfortable room and friendly staff. The room was a bit too warm and we couldn't control the heating ourselves or open the window, but nothing unbearable. In the early hours of the morning we could hear the people leaving the pubs after having one too many drinks, but that should be expected during the festive season in Ireland. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Stayed there 2 nights and found it charming! Service was the excellent / warm, friendly, attentive. Best breakfast we had in Ireland. I agree with the person who said she could see that the management and staff took pride in the establishment with little things like fresh flowers on the tables and white table cloths. The room was comfortable, the location was great. The hotel has a long history and has been kept up to modern standards but not too modernized. It feels historic. Just lovely.

Great central location. We were upgraded to a lovely spacious and very comfortable room. Plenty of places to hang out if you want to relax with a drink, or play a game of pool. Staff were very polite and accommodating too.

The hotel was lovely inside and out. You can tell the owners/managers are very proud of their hotel. Good good, kind staff, fluffy big towels. Great attention to the details of the room.

Love the elegance of the hotel. Rooms very comfortable complete with jaccuzi. Staff went all out to get us quiet rooms. Not fond of the traffic and need to park in paid parking lot away from hotel. And you can walk to almost anything for music, food, shopping. Within 9 minutes.

Nice hotel but a bit small.

The hotel is centrally located but there is no parking nearby. There is a lot a few hundred meters away that will cost up to €5 a day. Our room was small but clean. No air conditioning but thankfully there was a cool breeze. The attached restaurant was very good as was the breakfast.

The building is nice, but definitely caters to an older clientele and tour buses. I booked a Superior Double; months in advance, but when I arrived I was given a pathetically small room, no air conditioning (necessary for the hottest day of the year) and told that there was a fan in the room… I was finally offered a room at the Ross Hotel which was a far better experience and no losing status due to tour buses.

Really good experience. Centrally located hotel, great food and staff. Only downside is the lack of hotel parking. On the street parking is limited to 1hr. Very popular with tour operators.

The hotel is good for the price but … and the breakfast is far from excellent.

We were not in the hotel but if dining there. Only have things good that tell, the food excellent, we ask some fillets of pork in sauce and a species of crepe with seafood and fish by inside that was buenisimo. He try to unbeatable, had a waiter (them) that we attended very very well, and not only that but also had a problem with our accommodation and is worried by help us. A site of 10.

Rooms were spacious and staff was super nice, our TV didn't really work but honestly it was so nice and peaceful it didn't matter.

There was a giant spider in my bathroom. They obviously don't bother dusting the cobwebs out if the corners. The kettle was weird and had an exposed heating coil. Also the rooms use real keys which sounds cute but the key fob is larger than my cellphone. The access to the sports center was nice and the beds are pretty comfortable.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but the restaurant in the hotel was very good. The fish pancake and the fish and chips were both very good. The only complaint was that the service was a bit slow. Definitely worth a look if you want something nice and have some time.

This a 5 star hotel. In my life I may never stay in finer accommodations.

Reasonable price, great location, public parking 3 blocks away (free 6:30pm-8:30am, otherwise inexpensive but does fill up by 8pm or so).

I and my cousin, Ev Garcia stayed at your hotel from 8 May until 12 May 2015 with a Road Scholar tour. I was the lady that broke her ankle on 9 May. I would like to thank the entire staff — I do not want to mention any names for fear I will leave someone out — for out standing customer service. Everyone; those gentlemen that helped me get my wheelchair up 3 stairs to my room, food service, cleaning staff, front desk who helped with long distance telephone calls, taxis and everything else, all did it with sincerity, kindness and good Irish spirit. In the time I was in Ireland I found everyone to be so friendly, and helpful. There are not enough adjectives to describe. But I love the Irish people and plan to come back. The International is an outstanding hotel, perfectly located with wonderful staff, Very sincerely Leigh Ruff.

Stayed during the rally of lakes! Beautiful hotel well looked after.

I simply cannot give enough stars for this location. I am shocked they have only 3-1/2! The staff is courteous and friendly, the price is good, the location is even better! Upstairs from what seemed like endless bars, pubs, restaurants and night clubs we had no trouble whatsoever finding active nightlife here during our stay! We especially loved the nightclub downstairs that played live rock music every night. As for the room, it was medium sized, bed was comfortable and plenty of European plugs available. One minor thing is that I thought a hotel named "International" might have some plug converters from around the world *ahem* American *ahem* but that was no biggy we had a converter anyway. No points docked there, just a note. The room was clean and well stocked, and I loved the biscuits with the coffee tray :) Breakfast downstairs is wonderful, too. All you can eat for 9 Euro which included some incredible spinach eggs Benedict (Had mine without the bacon).

Fantastic! I highly recommend this lovely establishment. My wife and I had such a wonderful time here that we're definitely coming back next year. The staff, service, food, and amenities were all beyond our expectations and we couldn't be happier with our experience! Great job guys.
