I went to school near here and have seen the name change a couple of times now but finally the current owners have seemed to have found one that will last.
Since I wouldn't normally be out socialising in this area I don't often get the chance to call into the bars in Causeway. But when a booze cruise presented the oppertunity I had to call into The Forge Bar.
The Staff:
The staff are very friendly and the service was very quick but it was early in the afternoon when we arrived.
We were there for a 30th birthday and the bar staff we all excited.
Layout:
The bar is pretty big considering that its located in a small country village. When you walk in there is a big fireplace with plenty of seating to the left. There is even more sesting to the right. Then as you walk up the the bar you realise its a "L" shaped bar that leads around the corner to the left.
On the right there is a nuk where a pool table resides and a little bit of the bar counter is also here so you don't have to leave the area for a drink.
Around the corner to the left there is a dance floor but they may have it curtained off when its not in use.
Its out here where the bathrooms are and you'll be able to see what I mean by the curtains.
Decor:
Its a more modern bar so the decor is not old timey. Its more up to date but the stone fireplace at the front is beautiful.
As for stuff on the wall its mostly plain and simple. There was a TV behind the bar but I can't that I noticed another one around.
