We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The first night we slept in the Towerhouse (different part of the hotel with separate entrance), which had beautiful view and very quiet atmosphere — when do have no one in the room next door. The walls are very thin and the room was very small. The bathroom was a bit dated and was not completely clean. The terrace is just a complete metal grid with no seating outside. The television lost its purpose by its position as you can't see it from the bed, which is the only place where two persons can sit down to. The staff was very friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant. We had an opportunity to upgrade to a bigger room, however, that was a bit noisy because the backyard had some work going on and had no particularly nice view. This room and bathroom was cleaner and the old-fashion style matched very well with the lounge and the rest of the building, which were beautiful. The restaurant could be a bit more decorated. It is seems to be in contrast with the antique style salon. The breakfast had a satisfying variety of food, but the plates were not so clean. The toilets belong to the restaurant were really nice and atmospheric. The garden in the front was also good, but it is a shame that the building lost its creamy colour and became grey, especially outside. The rooms could have new kettles now and the old ones can be recycled to a hostel nearby.

The hotel could be the perfect place! Very nice ambience, very quiet location. However, the furnishings of the rooms in the Courtyard are somewhat old and the whole plot and garden is a bit unkempt. Very good food, friendly service.

We went as a group of seven using the rainforest spa package. We stayed overnight and the rooms were fantastic, lovely and big and very clean. The receptionist was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. With the package we got afternoon tea and because the weather was amazing we were set to go in the garden. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. We were looked after very well. Dinner was also included in the package, I felt the only thing letting the menu down was the selection available. But the quality of the food was amazing. The only let down was the dessert as it had similar aspects to what we had at afternoon tea. We were told that if we wanted to order drinks with dinner we would have to go to the bar which was odd, but the supervisor then looked after us with wine. Our waitress was a little unsure of the menu and serving us but that is me being extra picky in the evening. We also got breakfast the next morning which was amazing, for a buffet breakfast everything tasted fresh and was very enjoyable. There was a huge selection that would suit everyone. All in all I would definitely recommend a stay here. The views are surreal and it was a memorable stay for all! Thank you for having us!

Great hotel with all amenities including spa. Rooms are of good standard and staff are friendly as well as helpful. There is a spa on site at an additional cost depending on what you want but all in all a fantastic hotel in Co. Wicklow…

Town house was amazing lovely view. Breakfast was amazing staff so friendly. And spa on site book in advance though. Very clean great value Hotel.

A very nice hotel, clean and very comfortable, set in very nice setting, food was very nice and hot. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Brief stay, charming village and very nice facility. Bathrooms have a great "look" but I found them a bit cramped and showering awkward. I would suggest staff to stay a night in each room to realize their minor inconveniences. Often, it is the small details that make a big difference.

I've never had to write a review before but we had tables booked for family for a months memory for a passed away relative, two staff to manage 35 people all at the same time ended up very messy, some of the food was cold, 5 — 8 of the dishes ordered never came to us and large black insect around and inch and a half long found in my salad which they charge 12 Euro for. Was a real shame location is incredible have been here before and everything was very good, seemed like the young staff were left to sort all of us without any overseeing from a manager and ended up messy. We spoke with managers and chef were apologetic and hopefully it sorted.

Lovely hotel needs proper management breakfast staff great bar needs major cleaning and toilets not great Proper Bar Manager needed urgently ashtrays needed front of hotel very messy.

We had a very pleasant time there, we stayed in the house's they were spotless and very comfortable bed, they have tea and coffee making facilities, lovely showers and bath, all over excellent condition, very friendly and helpful staff would highly recommend this hotel.

Very poorly supervised wedding there. Glasses smashed on dancefloor and no staff around to notice. Very disorganised. Nice place though.

Lovely hotel managers and staff are lovely people very understanding we have our senior citizens Christmas dinner every year at hotel we are so well looked after every thing 100 o/o.

Only down the road from are company, the staff are great and has a lovely view from the back of the hotel.

Located just a little outside of Enniskerry, Summerhill House leaves a stunning first impression. The lobby, bar and restaurant continue to impress, only when getting to our room in one of the outlying houses did that impression start to fade just a bit. The room was comfy and clean, yet there were a couple of spots that could have used some repairing (if only for visual effect). The Wi-Fi didn't reach to our room. Breakfast was good.

Was OK, fairly quaint small bar with not much choice, food was OK, ate in restaurant as opposed to bar which looks to have a better selection. Roast beef isn't bad at all. Stayed in the extended part of hotel which are apartments. There is no sound proofing so you hear everything through the walls. Rainforest spa is very pleasent.

As you enter the main door and walk along the foyer towards the reception area you can feel the floorboards are uneven and creaky even under the carpet. Allowing for this, first impressions are not bad. But then you enter the restaurant and you begin to notice how run down and shabby the place has become. In the restaurant the doors are dirty and have peeling paint and chips knockout of them without any repair work (See images), but even without repair work, a hot cloth and soap and some elbow grease would make them look a lot better. There was a cable cover running along the floor in the restaurant area and the carpets need to be binned. The wall-lights look from the last century and only add to the shabby feel of the place. Anyway I started with vegetable soup, tasteless and without body or texture. The waitress never asked why the soup bowl was still full when she was collecting the dishes, another disappointment! For main course I had the beef (not for the first time) although I don't mind the beef been well-done but this time it was crispy & chewy and I couldn't finish it. When I asked for the bill, they are still using a hand-written receipt (really in this day and age) and then you have to go to reception to pay the bill. Over all experience was very disappointing Sunday lunch. The one positive is that it can only get better. I will update this at a later date to see if things have improved.

Lovely meal with excellent service, pint good, staff friendly, and the weather was beautiful. Don't know how they managed the weather?

Customer Service here was outstanding, location is great and outdoor area very relaxing.

Great first impressions for my American tour group. Very comfortable and there are two whole twins and a queen bed in our room which was a great thing for splitting some people up.

The worst hotel we stayed in in Ireland. Housed in the room in the townhouse, a kind of lodges behind the main building, in which we had a ridiculously cramped room; We had to lay our suitcases on the floor for lack of space. Wi-Fi absent in the room, small bathroom with a sink glued to the toilet and a heater that goes on manually that will shoot you hot air in your head when you wash, in addition to the tiny mirror. When we were there it was a wedding and they played with a complex until 3 at night! We could safely run with the guests of the room next door as the walls are plasterboard. Avoid this type of hostel accommodation with a 4 star price.

Old school charm and lovely location.

Great location just outside Enniskerry Village, small traditional country house hotel, laid back & relaxed, great for weddings. Friendly staff. Disappointed to see the outside repainted from the yellow ivy covered facade to a drab looking browny grey colour with all ivy removed.

We loved it here. Food is amazing surroundings to dye for. Guinness is perfection.

I attended a wedding reception here and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was clean comfortable and a throw-back to another time (in a good way).

Beautiful wedding. They did a great job. The bar did close down a bit early though. Beautiful place and decent rooms.
