Liveliest bar on sea front. Great food. Perfect rooms. Near everything. Noise from nightclub and dart no issue. Staff very friendly but could be quicker service with cutlery, menus & taking orders.

Beautiful food. We had our wedding reception over there just for ten people and everyone was very pleased. Great location, beautiful views.

The place is really nice, quite. The staff should be more prepared (they were running around lot seeming not to know what they were doing) but they are overall really nice We took two starters, they were both quite fine. Calamari could have been cut even smaller, so it would be much more comfortable eating them and King size prawns were tasteless (but this is a problem we found in Ireland, prawns are simply tasteless here). Then the pasta came and we were shocked. The bread with pasta? No salt in the pasta? Crab wasn't even clean but we found things we can't eat in our plates? But the biggest mistake was putting cheese together with the fish. Unfortunately, this pasta recipe had almost nothing to do with the Italian pasta. And for a price of 17, 50€ per plate is simply overpriced. Then I made a mistake of my life and ordered an espresso which a) wasn't even an espresso but a really short americano b) seems it waited days on the counter before arriving on my table. Just, awful but we still have to try the meat.

Lovely hotel. Room was four star level with a king size bed and well placed ambient lighting. En-suite was much bigger than I've found in more prestigious hotels with a large walk-in shower. Breakfast menu had a huge selection with even a separate section for eggs. I went for the creamy porridge with blueberries, strawberries and honey. It came in a huge bowl and was a meal in itself. It was accompanied by a large glass of juice and tea with toast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was live music in the covered patio area out front. Audience participation was encouraged, which made for a lively night. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Dublin/Wicklow area.

Friendly staff. Good food at very reasonable prices. Lots of screens for sports and will put on rugby etc. They go the extra mile to entertain with lots of themes throughout the year.

The food was so nice. But the staff were not great. I had to ask 3 times for water. 2 times for ketchub 3 times for napkin. The table was not clean. There was dust on it. Otherwise food was sooo nice. Its just the service that I did not like.

Highly recommend the Martello to anybody coming to stay in Bray. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you walk in! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bistro and bar Menus are delicious — and updated seasonally — and there is plenty of choice for everyone. The staff are always very helpful and pleasant, and the service is great.

Service was excellent with some wonderful food served, in particular the chowder was excellent and so creamy. It was a horrible wet day but once you got inside it was so warm and cosy with very welcoming staff.

Fantastic food. Excellent menu for a gastro pub that would suit a variety of tastes, good veggie option too.

Great place for family's and loved the food and great priced food.

We've stayed here a few times and have always enjoyed our stay. Rooms are a little small but very clean, breakfast is exceptional. Lovely spot facing the sea!

I dont think this place should be promoted as a hotel, at best its a Bar/nightclub with rooms above it. The room was tiny, the Bedroom door hits the bed when you walk in and there was no where to put our luggage, the carpets where very dirty and worn out as well. The music from the bar/nightclub was so loud that the windows in the room where vibrating, we even had to turn the TV up because we couldn't hear it due to the loud music, the music went on until 2:30 in the morning at that volume so we hardly got a wink of sleep as we where up at 6am. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in some pretty terrible hotels but I have never felt more ripped off than I did at The Martello "Hotel" I payed £140 for 1 night to effectively get 2 hours sleep in a room the size of a cupboard. I wouldn't recommend this "hotel" to anyone, especially not on the weekend.

We were here a couple of times for lunch. The food was good and the service was kind. Nice views of the sea from the outside area.

Best seafood chowder in the area. Much better if accompanied with a Guinness. Particularly a must everytime I travel close by.

Great spot to stay the night before heading into the craziness of Dublin. Staff were fabulous, food was good and the walk along the promenade at your doorstep wonderful. Thanks for the advice to check out the Harbour Pub nearby. Unique and great for a pint… or two.

Staff are great, great location photos taken from just outside. The function room is fab as are the various floors. Room was a little small and could do with rennovating as its a little dated. Food was also good nice portion but maybe a little to salty.

Friendly people with good food, (drinks are bit pricey) rooms not perfect but clean and good size, was the best choice in bray, it's not quite here, but it's a busy full on packed place, would stay again.

Large outdoor seating area, with lots of TV's for sports. We both had did the fish was good but the batter not so good. My wife had a chicken salad which was very tasty. Good selection of beers on draft and a selection of craft beers.

Our experience at this location was poor! We rented a self-catering apartment. Staff seemed to be bothered whenever asked a question. The mattress was acceptable. The apartment was filthy and looked nothing like the photos included. The carpet and two upholstered chairs were spotted and dirty. The kitchen had plates and service for 5, but extremely limited cooking utensils (2 — — 1 soup ladel and 1 large spoon). The oven contained a dirty pan. There were no sharp knives and when we requested some, we were reluctantly given two. The last day we were at the hotel, they had a problem with the hot water with no one scheduled to come and look at the problem until after we were checking out. There is no parking at the hotel. Our view was the railroad tracks and the service entrance where garbage is taken. Unless you have a reason to be close to the shore, I recommend you find somewhere else to stay.

Excellent hotel, great location. Staff very friendly, rooms are large, clean and modern! Restaurant has quality food. If you want to stay in Bray, the Martello is a must!

I ate here last August with my parents on a sunny evening. Friendly, helpful and well humoured staff. The food was above average for a bar. The prices are good too. Good atmosphere. The front facing beer garden looks out onto the sea. Definitely worth it on a sunny day.

We have arrived at the Martello hotel very friendly greeted. It was very helpful and gave us tips to the Park what is there unfortunately not easy. The room was super nice, just a dream. Very nicely decorated, very clean and the bathroom was newly renovated. There's free Wi-Fi, hair dryer, Ironing Board and iron, and a kettle in the room. The bed was super comfortable. We were all in all very pleased.
