We arrived a bit early to check in but staff let us put our luggage away behind the counter so we weren't lugging it around. Hotel has the old world charm and appearance. The rooms were clean and spacious. Price was great. The rooms could use air conditioning or fans during the summer because not much air flow from the side windows. Staff had a great sense of humor and very courteous. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

My niece had her communion here at the weekend and I have to say the food was absolutely beautiful. The room was done up with chair covers and pink bows which really made my neice feel so special. An amazing day out and the staff were lovely. Thank you to all involved.

Very clean reasonably priced. Receptionist very helpful. Bar staff were great and the bar food was delicious. Morning breakfast was excellent with everything you could ask for.

This hotel is okay. Could use a little updating, but it is a historic building so that's just part of its charm. Had issues with the Wi-Fi and could only connect in the lobby area. Wonderful location right on the coast. A great place to stay if you want to stay outside of Dublin. Overall a nice stay.

Location was wonderful and staff was kind and pleasant. Room was dirty and the coffee maker had gunk in it. I would stay here again only for the location and cost. It's by no means a fancy or "nice" hotel but does the job fine.

An Anglican-style hotel with wonderful views of the Irish Sea. People are nice and helpful if you don't set your claims too high. The food is really delicious and in the area you can do some nice tours. From playing golf to swimming and hiking, there's everything there during the day. And if you are still fit in the evening, I can recommend the pubs nearby. It's best to ask the bartender.

Excellent place to visit while in Bray. Had a lovely Sunday lunch, the service was excellent, & the staff friendly & attentive, will drop in again when I'm next out in Bray.

1 star because I have to… bedroom was nice but: Beddings was not clean, were stains on it. Towels, brown stains on it. No Wi-Fi in the bedroom Old broken CRT TV with 5 channels on it (even freeview has more) That smell in the bedroom, impossible to leave the window open to get some air. Then you wanna go for a cup of coffee to forget about this, guess what, cup and spoon not clean… During the night, impossible to sleep because of that constant background noise. Not enough plugs, had to unplug the TV to charge my phone. About the staff, condescending, I told them the issues, the man at the reception who seemed to be the manager said "I am afraid but all the bedrooms are like that" he did told me that he would send somebody to check the beddings, 50 minutes later had to go to the reception to ask again. When he finally came up, when I opened the door he said:"so what s wrong with the beddings?! "… when he saw the problem he did ask somebody to change them, and we could go to the bar for drink… guess what… glasses was not clean… 149 euros I paid for 1 night, no service, nothing clean, not even a nice view from the bedroom, the staff aggressive… How can you justify a price like this for a service like this?! Unacceptable. To avoid absolutely!

Beautiful hotel on the Bray boulevard. Clean rooms, very decent breakfast and a cozy bar.

I've been in this hotel only to dance the Irish dance, but I saw the hall and it was very nice and confortable… lovely.

A good place a wonderful views and a great deal.

Very nice hotel, clean, quiet, good bedding, but the deco of the room is a bit old as well as the bathroom and the curtains are not obscuring.

It is a friendly hotel but has many flaws in cleanliness especially: I found a movie between the cushions, two days later I was still there, I warned at the front desk and I changed it for another over the Piumino! Good thing it wasn't on my side. If the person who cleans loses hair why not wear a cap!
The bar is very nice but smells soooo bad that it is better to go out to the street to have a drink. Curtains, glasses better not to speak. The best of the hotel the position, in the center, facing the sea, but not all the rooms overlook the sea.
Breakfast OK. Nice and friendly people.

Ridiculously small room, horrible "seaside view. " Spiders on walls. Staff was nice and comfortable bed. Would not choose again.

Great hotel with value for money food — parking can be a hassle.

It's in great location there is plenty walk to do. The staff are nice the breakfast is good.

We didn't had the best experience there, booked a room for an anniversary date and couldn't stay in due to the smell of cigarettes in the room! (Was pregnant then and couldn't be arsed the smell). Although it has lovely interiors and location is really fabulous, staff was really helpful and understanding.

Very nice, cheap hotel; good breakfast & was warm & quiet! Only negative thing is if you uncover the curtains, the paint is peeling and the windows aren't exactly "pretty".

Seen from the outside is very charming though… Although the rooms are large and spacious the cleanliness is completely lacking. In fact we found the carpet full of hair, on the bedside table there was a transparent card of some guest's biscuits before us. The bathroom tiles have mold. The Wi Fi does not work in all the rooms, as described at the reception, the TVs are still the cathode-ray tubes. No welcome kits in the bathroom… Not even the hair cap. For the amount they ask is absolutely to avoid.

Dear Bray Chess Club, please do the other teams in the Armstrong League a favor and switch your home game venue to a more welcoming place. No need to have a sea view. People who are neither Bray locals nor overnight guests — so the away team — are treated like garbage here. Even 1 star is too much. Beer prices are fair though, one of the lowest I have seen in the Dublin area.

We had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay here. Granted, there are a few signs of wear in this grand and characterterful hotel, but they're insignificant. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable with good-quality sheets and the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Breakfast was generous. The location is superb.

The front at sea has had its best times. Growing backwards has never seen good times. Old, scrapped and the lady at the reception unfriendly beyond measure. Immediately checked out and taken a hotel in Dublin where you can greeted with a smile and feel immediately welcome. Clear recommendation: Do NOT book FALL.

Its ok staff very mixed some helpful some not late bar. Waiting. TV in room out dated. But nice clean averaged hotel a little over priced. Maybw just the weekend that is in it. Bur will be watching prices.

Great view on the strand/beach from our room, basic but comfortable accommodation. Could improve the looks and quality (of bedding, drapes, TV, furniture, breakfast room…). Friendly staff.

This hotel is beautifully situated but in need of refurbishment. The televisions are cathode ray tubes! In my room the bathroom extractor fan did not work and the soap dispenser fell off the wall. The wallpaper was peeling. One of the bedside lamps seemed to have a one watt lightbulb in it. The numbering system for the rooms is hilarious — room 614 is on the fourth floor. There is no 6th floor.

To not recommend. From my shower, I was able to use with almost 1, 90 m just in the bend, came no hot water. It is slow, no Wi-Fi in the rooms, in the Lobby only extremely. Completely finished floors and musty smell.

Once and never again! Totally outdated, dirty, loud, down not performed … to recommend Breakfast. Outside hui, inside pfui: The facade is still beautiful, the rooms are however, in the "cultivation", consisting of ugly, filthy concrete blocks with a view to garbage bins and a loud train. Parking is not enough. Staff did not complaint about the unclean room. There are a thousand nicer places in Ireland!

Food fantastic friendly staff an great service.

This is a stately hotel across the street from the ocean (maybe not a big deal for frequent visitors to the Emerald Isle, but I enjoyed that). The rooms were clean and comfortable enough. It would have been nice to have air conditioning but being near the shore made for a nice breeze. The breakfast options were great for those who enjoy traditional food. The parking filled up to capacity every night but it all worked out. The hotel staff were cordial and helpful.

Nice hotel in Bray just in front of sea. About 30 min train to Dublin city center.

Very good customer service. Staff pleasant, polite and knowledgeable as well as professional. Bed was super comfortable and basic needs were met. Staff very friendly towards my elderly relative even when she was confused and struggling.

Gekommendes in the hotel, very far outside of Dublin. But the train station is 10 minutes walk and right on the beach. Facilities only 3 star and old.

This is a decrepit hotel. The decoration in the room was dated, with peeling paint and dubious stains, and had been poorly cleaned. There was no internet in the rooms and the TV was laughably tiny. The staff were surly, and there was no free parking available when we arrived. Terrible!

Distinctive Victorian hotel right in the seafront in Bray. Bright, clean and very well kept inside with friendly, helpful staff.
