James and Gina were excellent hosts and were happy to give recommendations on things to do in Stone Town and Zanzibar in general. They also helped with directions around town and with transport to different towns around the island. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, reasonably priced laundry services, and a good location.
Basic no frills rooms, but the staff are amazing. James is wonderful caring and honest person. Highly recommended if on a budget but still want clean and safe environment.

I walked into this place on a recommendation from a friend who lives in Zanzibar. James and Gina were very flexible, easy to communicate with, and helpful with advice on things to do and making arrangements for activities and travel. The rooms are clean and simple, and the location was close to the heart of Stone Town but not right in the middle of all the tourist traffic. Highly recommended, especially for the budget traveler.
