Beautiful grounds and courteous people here. Excellent food! Will be back within the week to spend some more time here.

Beautiful building, or should I say Castle, yet modern where it needs it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (especially Jamie). The tasters menu was delicious as was the Guinness.

So beautiful and so many amenities on the grounds. The 3 bedroom lodges are perfect for three couples to share, it’s affordable and super comfortable. Bring food and cook your meals in the room.

Kilkea Castle was absolutely lovely. We stayed in one of the carriage rooms and the high ceilings and wooden beams were beautiful; the room was charming and so cozy. Staff was incredible, helpful and available at any time, and the meals were all delicious. We also took advantage of their spa with a deep tissue massage — which allowed us to use the whole sauna/jacuzzi area. Such a relaxing and peaceful experience all around. Last but not least, we got the chance to met this incredible man Bernard who offered falconry and owlery through the castle and thought we would get maybe a photo op and to hold one of the birds for a minute. Instead, he gave us a nearly 2 hour experience neither of us will ever forget with owls, hawks and a falcon. We got to know these birds and to see how much they trusted and loved him, and he shared so much knowledge and wisdom from his depth of experience. I would highly recommend this add on if you're going! Once in a lifetime experience.

The castle is just amazing. Staff are so helpful and friendly. If you want a round of golf or just a few days rest in a characterful building this is the place. A hidden jem in the middle of Ireland's bread basket.

Had the most relaxing day at Kilkea Spa. So lucky to have this beautiful hotel just down the road. Stunning location, excellent facilities and fantastic staff. Will definitely have to visit more often.

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Beautiful property, very quiet and peaceful. Staff so lovely and helpful at all times. Carriage room very spacious and loved the Elemis products! Breakfast and dinner were both so tasty with impeccable service. Perfect for a quiet weekend away!

I really enjoyed my stay at Kilkea Castle. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate and a joy to wander for a walk. The new Spa is a haven of relaxation and serenity. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely make a return visit.

My Husband and I stayed in this beautiful venue last night. Rooms were spotless and food was delicious. Hand sanitizer everywhere and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend kilkea castle for a romantic getaway. Beautiful walks along the garden also.

The castle in-grounds are stunning, you really feel as if you are taken back in time when you are walking the grounds. The gatehouse rooms were charming. Every dining experience was nothing less than extraordinary. Every single person on the castle staff went above and beyond and they were delightful in every way. An absolute MUST activity that is available on the grounds is the falconry. Words cannot describe this incredible experience. Bernard is exceptionally knowledgeable and is lovely with his birds. Last but certainly not least, are the opportunities for equestrian excursions made possible through Alex Warden at the castle. Alex is terrific and extremely accommodating, she will arrange a truly magical experience. Overall, this is a place where dreams come true!

Five friends all met at Kilkea Castle to enjoy exploring Ireland and do some horse riding together. I cannot say enough about the wonderful welcome, the comfortable rooms, the amazing food and the over the top options that Kilkea Castle and their amazing staff arranged for us. We loved Bernard and his falcons — a true goosebumps experience. The riding was beautiful beyond expectations. The Moone High Cross Pub, just down the road, is an experience not to miss. All of us want to thank Kilkea Castle for a beautiful experience in Ireland.

Beautiful Castle and grounds. Would highly recommend for couples or families. Staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Met a few locals in the bar and made us feel so welcome and had the best craic with them. We'll definitely be back for another overnight stay. This was the most amazing trip we have ever taken! We would highly recommend a stay at the castle. Our every wish was answered. We did the 4x4 off road experience and the falconry. Our boys said it was the best day of their lives after those experiences. The food was amazing and the service spectacular!

Amazing time! Scenery is beautiful. Even if your not a golfer… the spa is wonderful! Andrew the bar tender is wonderful, friendly and hilarious! Bernard for falconry was one of the best and unique experiences we had in Ireland. The castle was amazing!

A Fairytale wedding! We recently got married at Kilkea (6th October 2018) and had an absolutely amazing time! We had roughly 200 guests (half coming in from abroad, but nearly all stayed over! ) which were comfortably accommodated across the castle, lodges and carriage rooms. We took exclusivity of the castle for the entire weekend and cannot speak highly enough of this place. The venue and setting itself are stunning. A castle and a wedding reception room with a 12th Century feature wall with stained glass windows, just magical! Special mention to the staff, in particular; Elaine, Emma, Andrew, Nazeem, Aidan and Charlene, thank you, you were all amazing! Treasa and Steven.

Food is lovely in the golf club. The service is very poor. I asked for gourmet burger which was beef. A clubhouse chicken burger arrived at my table and I told the waiter that I ordered a beef burger called the gourmet burger. He said that this was the gourmet burger. I thought I may have made a mistake and I took the burger anyways. I checked the menu before I left and saw that I had order the beef burger. Service really needs to be improved because it takes away from the very nice food that is served there!

We had our wedding in Kilkea Castle two weeks ago with 250 guests and what a venue… Thanks to Kilkea for letting us rent the Castle for two days, thanks for the amazing food and service. Kilkea Castle is the dream. When they say you can have a fairytale wedding, it is true. I had my wedding the 22nd of July and I really felt like I was in a fairytale and I was the Queen. All guests did not want to leave the castle.
There won't be enough words to describe what you did for us, from our arrival on Saturday, until our departure on Monday. The castle grounds, lodges, castle rooms were amazing, but the best part was the stuff: professional, friendly, kind, always with a smile. Guys, you really made my day perfect!
Let's talk about food. Mine was an intimate wedding with all guests coming from Italy and we are well known of being very picky with food. Well, they could not stop saying how everything was delicious.

Noel, you really deserve few lines. I can't thank you enough for what you did for us. If we, bride and groom, were so relaxed before the wedding is just thanks to you. Your attention to details, your help, I could still see you running from one side to another making sure everything was perfect. You are a star. And not only that day, can't even count how many emails I sent to you before the wedding, since I was panicking all the time for no reason, and you always there with all your professionalism reassuring me and answering to all my questions (and I knew I was not the only bride, but you were always there, don't know how you did it).

Looking for perfection? Look no further than Kilkea Castle. This exquisitely appointed, 12 century castle is a marvel to behold. Having held our wedding reception at Kilkea Castle 15 years ago, my wife and I were elated to see it recently reopened, better than ever. During our recent stay at the castle, it was immediately apparent that the new owners of Kilkea spared no expense in their renovations. Our carriage house accommodation was gorgeous, spacious and extremely comfortable. As for the castle's staff, they all left no stone unturned in seeing that our stay was magical. Each and every one of the staff that we met were friendly, professional and truly made us feel that it was their pleasure to be a part of this wonderful experience. And especially Andrew, who made us feel as if we were the only guests in the castle. All throughout our stay, Andrew truly made us feel as if we were the king and queen of the castle. This stellar service does not stop with the accommodations. Our dining experience was fantastic as well. From our pints and club sandwich lunch at the golf course clubhouse to our 5 star dining in the castle's restaurant, all was amazing. Again, with the castle staff, particularly Nazim, playing a huge part in how well everything was presented. My wife and I look forward to visiting Kilkea Castle again and again. Do yourself a favor and book your stay for a magically amazing, fairytale experience.

The castle was closed for a while but was then bought by Americans. They have done a great job renovating the golf club and castle. The food in the golf club restaurant and bar is very good. The gardens are getting back to it's former glory, but that will take time. It's a popular venue for weddings and their ballroom is stunning.

We have had several visits to this Amazing Castle now. Its really is beautiful part of the country and only just outside Dublin. Staff are very helpful & informative and the food is superb. Lodges are extremely comfortable and you can get lost for hours on the 150 acre estate. Well worth a visit. Yet to stay in the Castle but we have eaten in there and had a few drinks there too. Top class.

Beautiful castle and grounds. The castle is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Ireland and has undergone an expensive refurbishment as have the lodges. The lodge we stayed in was extremely comfortable. The food provided was tasty and high standard and the staff were very friendly and attentive. No Dublin hotel could provide this experience. This place is amazing to stay in, albeit the spa will not be ready until late autumn 2018. Don't let that put you off though.

Just had a fabulous experience in kilkee castle, my better half brought me out for a beautiful meal. What a treat and serious spoiling was to be had! from the lovely relaxed atmosphere to the tantalizing menu. The staff made u feel special and were extremely friendly especially Joseph and Andrew. The roaring wood fire with plush sofas felt very welcoming I would highly recommend a visit! I will be back.

My trip to Castle Kilkea was THE BEST TRIP I EVER HAD! First off, I felt like I was transported to the 15th century, but with a brand new marble bathroom, gorgeous bedroom and glorious bed! You are so taken aback when you walk into the castle — the decor is so hip, modern, clean and new, but keeping the old world charm. We stayed in the castle and it was the trip of a lifetime. I can’t say enough great things about Castle Kilkea, it truly is an amazing experience. Let’s start from the beginning…. Each day we met at the club restaurant and had THE MOST DELICIOUS meals. The smoked Salmon is better than a NYC deli. The eggs were so fresh! Oh, did we talk about the potatoes yet? Creamy, creamy potatoes that melted in your mouth. The Castle staff would then set up our activity, which was unbelievable. We went horseback riding (they accommodated me and gave me “ My little Pony”). We went skit shooting, did Archery, and took a trip to an Irish Village, where we went to Irish Pubs (we went to the Clint Eastwood Pub) Yes, clint Eastwood loves to visit Ireland! Lastly, a shopping day for Irish wool and Linens. Back at the Castle we could have ourselves a little yoga class, a work out in the weight room or go for a walk on the castle grounds. Now, those castle grounds are steeped in History, with beautiful lush gardens and there is a small grave yard. There is also a full Golf Course and Tennis Courts, and an on staff Masseuse! OMG can this get any better.

Outstanding Irish magnificence at its best! If you’re looking for that special place with a wow factor for memories long to linger, this place is it! Everything was top notch from the moment we checked in with Samantha Flisher, with her careful attention to detail to the warmth of EVERY staff person we had met. Our room was sumptuous, yet cozy warm with excellent mattresses, feather stuffed pillows & buttery soft linens. The view of the rose gardens from our windows were unparalleled as well. No expense was spared in setting the mood of 5 star, modern comfort in an iconic 800 year old castle. Our server Jon Souster, was a keenly aware, consummate professional, who would intuit your needs throughout your stay. The Decor had many modern touches yet still felt incredibly historic without the drafty undertones one would imagine from a castle built in the 12th century. We enjoyed a romantic horse drawn carriage ride around the sprawling 160 acres and partaking in the ancient art of falconry as well as archery and shotgun target shooting. My husband and I felt like two kids at Castle camp! It was literally a page out of a storybook! The food was deliciously creative, artfully prepared and served by such warm hearted people who make you feel right at home. The 18-hole golf course which surrounds the castle, is meticulously groomed and is as emerald as Ireland itself. The food in Jays Bistro (the golf clubhouse) is spectacular as well.
