Dreadful service no manners drove out from dun laoire to visit and service was a disaster, dirty toilets and rude staff, sent an email to make management awake and got no reply. Would not recommend this hotel, extremely disappointed.

Couldnt fault a thing everything was perfect n the staff were brilliant very obliging n couldnt do enough for us.

Had an amazing night here, food was amazing, staff so friendly and the room was beautiful.

My sister had her wedding here and from the minute we arrived the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The breakfast for gorgeous very tasty, the actual wedding itself was so magical from how the room was set up, deffinately reccomend this gorgeous hotel xx.

Stayed here in Feb. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very spacious room and very comfortable.

Rude staff, not very professional sniggering when asked a question thinking everything was a joke, 25 mins wait for cup of tea for room service and wasn’t given my change back. Beds are uncomfortable. Wasn’t told when the food was ready at the party.

Final edit/update: checked out this morning and a different woman was there and very apologetic. She seemed very surprised that the sound made the floor vibrate and the windows shake a bit. She comped a meal we had, a nice gesture, but I appreicated the fact that she seemed to care more than the overnight person. Stayed here for 3 nights. Easy to find, staff are nice, breakfast is good, water pressure is nice (claw foot bath was nice), but be careful about what days you book. Their event room is directly underneath a lot of rooms on the first floor and the events they have can go until midnight (we didn't see any events posted online before we booked our stay). They are loud and you can feel the floor vibrate from the sound system. When I went down to ask about the noise, the front desk said they couldn't change our room and sorry. Disappointing end to our stay here. I wanted to add a note that it'd be nice if the staff could have forwarned us of the event when we checked in. A simple "I see you'll be here for *insert event name here*, you're welcome to join/tickets cost $X, but it goes until 12am. " I don't know how common middle of the week events are, but having ear plugs on hand to offer would be nice. You can also feel the springs in the mattress, so getting a good night's rest hasn't been easy; but that just might be what all beds in Ireland/UK are like.

Stayed here for two nights in a family room midweek and from we checked in till we checked out it was spot on, we were very well catered for, we had breakfast and evening meals for the two days there and the staff were good and very helpful with requests for the two lad's{5&3}. Would definitely return again.

It's very beautiful and romantic place. It's a castle. The people are very friendly and it's not expensive. The breakfast is very good.

Here we have a piece of History in the centre of Kildare. This iconic hotel is old fashioned yet clean and has kept its unique identity throughout the ages. The customer service is excellent the food is excellent the people are a friendly professional and always willing to help. The estate is tranquil and presents an antique feel in a modern society. I would definitely stay here again!

For 4 stars we were a little disappointed … in the Hotel, several Points should be fixed: dead flies on the wall, carpet, floor arches, tile broken … We have booked our rooms for the "bargain price" of 90€, the full price I think is not justified. The room was decorated very nice and big but loveless. Also our room was promised "with a view" us. (See Pictures)
Positive is the Breakfast buffet, which was very hearty :)

The building and grounds were outstanding! We stayed in one of the Heritage Rooms, and it was stunning. Very intricate details throughout the entire building. Within walking distance to "downtown".

Absolutely love this hotel! We recently had our wedding here and it was just sensational. The hotel and their events coordinator Caroline went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect and ran smoothly. I also cant speak highly enough of their food which is simply amazingly delicious. I highly highly recommend this hotel for events or just to visit dublin, celbridge and the surrounds. Lovely.

Checked in and checked out. We have booked this hotel for a lot of money and previously read the reviews on Booking. Which were some really bad. Once on site, the first impression wasn't bad. Visually a highlight (exterior view and foyer), but the room corresponded to the reviews. Abused, the bathroom was not dirty however, the flowing were partially badly damaged and some mold in the corners. The price — performance ratio is not right at all. We should pay over EUR 320 for 2 nights. We really didn't want to let the reviews about breakfast come to us. That's why we decided to go again and look for another place to stay for the night. Nor am I a fan of putting every previously written word on the gold scale just unfortunately, in this case, this is rightly true.

Stayed there last night with two friends. We got a deal for 1 nights stay in a triple room including a 2 course dinner with tea/coffee and breakfast next morning. Hotel in general was spotless as was our room. It was a very large triple room and had TV, kettle, hairdryer, and a nespresso machine. Huge bathroom with freestanding old fashioned claw foot bath and also shower cubicle. Temp of room was excellent as we stayed during warm weather. So peaceful and quiet. … Lovely drink had in terrace garden, but sadly we had to carry drinks from bar to this area which was a bit of a pain as one of our party was using a crutch and couldn’t do that walk. Bar was lovely with a nice menu. Lots of people were eating there. Our meal in the restaurant was very nice with a decent selection and plenty of side dishes to accompany our steaks! All staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious the next morning with some of the nicest scrambled egg I’ve ever had! Building outside and inside looks fab with real ‘olde world’ feel, grounds were very nice and there is tons of parking. Overall we had a fab time and will definitely be returning.

Positive experience, however still some teething problems. Lovely entrance now — — great improvement. New layout inside is a great improvement. Unfortunately the food took too long to arrive. Overall good experience.

I have stayed here on 2 occasions whilst working in Kildare as it's only a 15min drive into work. I have stayed in the historic room and the regular and I preferred the regular room, it was bigger and warmer with a better TV and there's not that much difference between the two apart from price (historic more expensive) The price for the regular room is reasonable — they do fluctuate quite a lot sometimes cheaper to stay elsewhere. This review is for my latest stay in the regular room. The bed was comfortable, room was clean — it is a big room. There was sufficient place for me to work. Bathroom is lovely with a roll-top bath and the shower is amazing! There's not many TV channels at all in either rooms… Breakfast is good with a good selection and they will make something for you if you don't want the buffet, I had porridge and boiled eggs. I ate in the bar at night, the food was very nice, not much choice if staying a week or so but very nice — I really enjoyed the fish, chicken and steak! not to mention the desserts :-) There are 2 lovely ladies serving meals in the bar — I unfortunately didn't get their names but they were wonderful! All in all, I will stay here on every business trip if the price is right. Not much to do in the little town but if you have a car there is a lot near by to see and do.

Used to love the food here. After today, we won't be rushing back. Food was nothing like it used to be. Very disappointing. Roast beef was tough and full of fat. My daughter picked the pasta Bolognese from kids menu. When she said it didn't taste nice, we tasted it and she was right. Absolutely no taste to it. Could hardly taste the tomato sauce. Very bland. The waiting staff were also not in sink with each other. One staff member gave us a menu to order from. Very limited choice. Then after dinner, my daughter said she'd like some ice cream as couldn't eat much of the dinner. A different staff member brought us over a menu for my daughter to view what desert she'd like. This menu was completely different to the first menu with a much better choice of meals. Why weren't we handed this menu to begin with? All in all… wouldnt rush back. Please bring back the old chef from the Setanta days. His food was absolutely lovely. So disappointing. Glad I booked elsewhere for my daughter's communion now…

Somewhat muted colours but a lovely cosy 'great house' which would be particularly lovely in summer given the quite extensive gardens & grounds. Good pub grub, quite roomy public areas & helpful staff. Did not stay in the hotel nor eat in the restaurant but the general ambience suits a period-style property.

Beautiful hotel in Celbridge. The grounds are keep very well with plenty of parking. The decor is very tasteful and there is a real luxury feel when you walk in. We used a function room and had tea coffee and pastries. All very well presented and very nice. Would recommend here for corporate meetings.

Lots of refurbishment has taken place at the Celbridge Manor hotel. Looks great. We had Sunday carvery. Tasty and reasonably priced. Very nice staff too. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Nice place. Could do with a proper smoking area, rather than the front door.

Lovely hotel. HUGE room. Heating was a bit high in the morning and woke us up but it would of been a cold night so I can understand. Would recommend.

Large comfortable rooms with Nespresso machine in it; soaking tub plus shower and a restaurant and bar on premises. Reception desk open late (24? ). Staff most helpful! They really made my vacation. Room service available (5 euro charge) and the breakfast daily downstairs is included.

We spent our anniversary here. It was an amazing time. Staff as always were superb especially Sheila. She really looked after us and our friends for dinner and drinks. Room was gorgeous thanks to everyone for a great and memorable time. We can't wait to return to see everyone again.

We had the afters of our daughter's christening in the Celbridge Manor and I have to say the food and staff were fantastic. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. They set the tablet as per our request and it looked great. We had a great day and in terms of price it was extremely reasonable. The Celbridge Manor has made a repeat customers out of me.

Stayed here for a wedding. Rooms were clean and good sized. Food was very good. Bar Service was excellent. All round nice relaxing place to spend a weekend.

Terrible and unbelievable for a hotel with such history and beauty. Decided to have dinner for 20 people in the Celbridge Manor Hotel (Monday). Went onto website to view dinner menu and found a huge variety of food available that catered for ever taste and preference. Made our way to the Celbridge Manor Hotel only to find pub grub available until 17.00pm. Waited until 16.45pm and was then handed a dinner menu which was no different from the pub grub menu except the cost had substantially increased. Main course on offer comprised of fish, fish, fish, steak, burgers and two other meals that comprised of buns and baps. Decided we had enough of this shoddy kind of service, finished up our drinks and left the premises. May I also say the general hotel staff were very friendly, understanding and in my personal opinion far more professional than the people who subject them to situations they are obliged to defend as employees of the hotel. Moral of the story. Do not believe anything this hotel posts on the Internet. If you are travelling a distance for a meal, then based on the menu offered on the hotels website, forget it, it's not real. When hoteliers complain about a decline in visitor numbers to Ireland, one reason for that decline can be found in the way the same hoteliers treat their customers. The inconvenience I experienced on the day concerned should not deter others from enjoying the many facilities and services offered by the hotel.

Very beautiful! This was probably the nicest hotel we stayed at in Ireland. The building is huge and very beautiful, the rooms and large, and he beds are comfortable.

Great hotel the room was huge with four poster bed, the food was great and the staff where very helpful and friendly. Clean warm cosy friendly only minutes from great shopping attractions and entertainment.

Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in! The hotel itself is beautiful but the staff are extraordinary! Can't wait to visit here again very soon!

What I imagine castle living would be like. Very detailed decor and architectural right down to the cold chill in every room. Friendly and accommodating staff, with the Irish brogue I thought was specific to television. Perfect place to stay if your in the area, make sure you get a lower level room if you want to keep warm.

We spent 2 nights at Celbridge Manor for a wedding. On the day we arrived there was a large wedding taking place yet we were welcomed as if we were the only people in the hotel. Every member of staff was charming and helpful. On the day of our wedding the food was superb, exceeded only by the service and attentiveness of the staff to all guests (not just the top table). Just an exceptional example of well trained and competent staff, simply superb.

Would definitely not recommend firstly the rooms are too small even though they knew it was for a family of 5 breakfast and breakfast staff very good. Our meal in the hotel we could not eat as it was freezing and when the waitress came back to clear up she was astounded at the amount of food going back and told us she would let management know which she did because each time we met him in the hotel he dropped his head — he didin't want to know — found him to be very rude and still waiting on an email from them. Management very poor indeed!

Absolutely first class hotel. From the time of booking, to the time of our departure, the service was excellent and staff were friendly yet very professional. Lovely hotel.

We stayed at Celbridge Manor from July 20th thru July 30th, 2014. We had 5 people in our party / 2 rooms. Celbridge Manor is much more than a hotel! Everyone on the staff is friendly, helpful, caring and knowledgeable. The manor is clean, beautiful and full of history. While we were there, we made lots of friends at the nearby Village Inn. The village is within walking distance and there is also a taxi company in the village that was always available to take us around the neighboring counties. We toured Castletown, which is also located in Celbridge village. We rented a car during our stay, but we noticed that the bus system drove into Dublin everyday. It's the perfect place to relax. We highly recommend that you stay at Celbridge Manor Hotel.

Went for brunch on 26th June. Venue is nice but menu is limited. Various items were unavailable and I was overcharged (full breakfast price 9.95 as per menu but was charged 14.95). Not acceptable.

Great experience and value.
