The rooms were very outdated and the staff were not very friendly at all didn’t enjoy my stay as much as I was expecting to. Was disappointed.

I would definately return to this hotel, beautiful. Great atmosphere. Unbelievable service and spa.

We absolutely loved our 4 night break away with our two kids it was lovely and staff was so friendly and kind highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed recently emailed hotel after my stay but no reply. Very lax on the whole covid thing no temp checking and seemed as though anyone could come and go. Restaurant menu very limited and room over priced for executive room your hotel is over rated and you need to pull up your socks Mount Wolseley.

Cracking stay, fantastic spa facilities very professional staff and compliance with covid protocols but also not invasive, food was lovely in Fredericks and nice in bar, reasonable prices for a hotel not so much the surf n turf 33e bit excessive, setting of hotel in fantastic loved every minute of stay only thing don’t drop the ball guys ceiling in room was full of damp patches and exterior needs painting also get rid of the fri/sat night supplement people will be put off or at least drop it from 60e per night to even 20e times are hard enough for people But super hotel.

Just back from a break at this fabulous hotel, the food, the rooms, the grounds were all beautiful but the thing that stands out the most is the staff, every single member of staff that we had contact with was just lovely, they were friendly, helpful, funny and they went above and beyond. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of them and I look forward to my next break there x.

Stayed on 20th Feb, Wonderful stay, rooms spacious and spotlessly cleaned, evening meal faultless, breakfast fresh, and plenty of choice, Spa Day and treatment Wonderful, felt relaxed and pampered when leaving, afternoon tea beautiful, and even though we asked for a few alterations nothing was a problem. All staff from reception, bar, dining room, and Spa were excellent, all smiling and polite, Big Thanks to Laura O Neill, and girls in Spa, made our stay. Travelled as family group of 4. Will be back. Valerie Marie Pam and Lynn.

Spa facilities are excellent. Very courteous staff and lovely therapists. Light therapy room is amazing.

Nice hotel. Room and bathroom were lovely. The only complaint I would have was the hairdryer. The flex was so short that it wouldnt reach the top of my head and thats ehen I was sitting down. So bring your own hairdryer. We went during half term so it was extremely busy. Arrived down to breakfast to find a 20 minute queue only to discover when we finally got a table, that most of the fruit and all of the pastries were gone. They did bring out some more pastries after a while though. Other than those 2 issues it was an enjoyable stay.

Great family hotel. Safe, clean and really friendly.

We went in for lunch which wasn't being served for another 20 mins after we arrived. However we ordered 2 coffees which came quite promptly, not the nicest of coffee but adequate… when lunch arrived I have to say, it was really good. The pulled pork spinach wrap was fantastic and club sandwich was quite substantial, no soup needed as it came with chips. Busy lounge, friendly staff and quite reasonably priced for the country golf resort hotel it is. Well recommended.

Lovely relaxing hotel, even when busy, staff very nice. Food and drink in the lounge was super and not at rip off prices would go back again.

Would highly recommend the Mount wolseley Hotel, all the staff there were very helpful, friendly and lovely, and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel itself was unbelievable with beautiful surroundings, the food was top class and great music from mush in the bar made it, a thank you to the lovely manager at breakfast who was very nice and made sure every one was ok including her staff, (it's nice to see that) we are already planning our next visit, can't wait, thanks again☺️

One particular staff on duty in the bar, was very rude and her customer service skills were in my opinion not up to standard. Especially for a hotel such as this. We popped in for breakfast in which we were waiting for a very long time before any one came near us. It wasn’t busy so I couldn’t understand why not? The employee in question seemed high up in rank of employment so I would imagine she is setting a great example for your other staff. Won’t be coming to Mount Wolseley any more.

Great hotel, golf course and spa, excellent for young and old alike and very family friendly.

The staff, if you have good staff you have everything. Definitely be back soon.

Lovely hotel. Great food at the wedding and the staff were all very obliging for both the weddings I attended. The hotel facilities are superb including the bar and function room. Great welcoming to the wedding party when they arrive. I look forward to going back.

This is a lovely hotel, nice spa, great golf course, only thing that let it down for me was the depressing music they played in the background 24/7 and the unhappy staff. Their Gluten free options were terrible in the pub part. They didn't even make an effort to try! Luckily enough we found the riverbank restaurant in Tullow, that was more than happy to accommodate and only about a mile away. Overall I was quite disappointed as I had heard such great reports, but found it to be nothing outstanding. Don't think I would be rushing back here, better hotels out there for less money!

Myself and my friends had afternoon tea here last Saturday and it was out first time ever visiting and it was amazing! The food was gorgeous and it was topped off by your staff member Rosìn who was serving us. She was a breath of fresh air and nothing we asked for was a problem and we had a few giggles along the way. She is a credit to your hotel and deserves to be acknowledged for it. Can't wait to come back!

Stayed in Mount Wolseley last Saturday and I had a really lovely experience. The sun was shining and the hotel had prepared blankets and sun cream for people to use. The grounds are really nice with an outdoor seating area with a gorgeous flower covered swing. The staff were incredibly nice, probably the nicest that I have experienced in a hotel. The dinner and breakfast were delicious too. Would highly recommend. I also got a massage and used the spa facilities which were absolutely lovely too. Well done!

Entrance foyer is fabulous but rest of hotel is a but dated looking. Spa is just ok too, staff there were very noisy though and were constantly moving around which upset the atmosphere. No relaxation music in relaxation room either. Reception staff were lovely though. Breakfast has lots of options and quality of food was fine. Room was clean, bed was comfy.

Very comfortable bedrooms just couldn't turn heat down. They hotel could do with being a little more modern. Hotel staff from the moment you arrive are fantastic and make you feel at home.

Fantastic, each and every staff member went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Morrow and his staff in Fredericks served delicious food in a wonderful manner with great attention to detail. Afternoon tea in the library was a wonderful event. I just can't speak highly enough of Mount Wolseley. I would highly recommend it to anybody… enjoy!

As part of a group of 8 golfers, we recently enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful/comfortable hotel. The hotel is the essence of comfort and the cuisine was excellent. We very much enjoyed a round of golf the superb 18 hole course together with excellent leisure facilities. Staff were courteous and very helpful — we will definitely be back.

My bridal party chose to have my hen here at the weekend and everything was just so amazing. We took up 4 houses, each one being very spacious (sleeping 8 per house). The beds were so lovely and a number of people noticed how the bed sheets were of high quality making them very comfortable. There was afternoon tea on Friday with my bridal party, my mother and aunts. This was so relaxing and the food was second to none. There was a number of coeliacs (including myself) and no…thing was too much trouble. We had dinner in the hotel Saturday night before getting a pre booked bus into Carlow. Danny was our main waiter and he was just fantastic. The food was amazing and the choice we got was great too. I will be forever grateful for the hospitality and thankful that my bridal party chose Mount Wolseley for my hen. Thank you so much, Áine Hyland.

Second time to stay here. Hotel is fab and staff are extremely friendly and very professional. We got a great deal on deal rush. We used gym, spa, bar for food and drinks and restaurant during our stay and found an excellent choice service and great value for money. The hotels and its grounds upkeep is spotless and well cared for. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Beautiful hotel with so much going for it. It was built on Christian Brothers monastery grounds with an expansive green areas. Bar and dining areas are homely and comfortable. Its leisure centre and Spa are extremely well run. The golf course I would rate as one of Irelands best. Parking is not an issue around the hotel or golf club.

Lovely hotel. Spent two nights there just before storm Emma hit. Huge beds. Lovely bathroom. Also loved the leisure centre. Big pool steam room etc and well equipped gym. Staff v. Friendly and dinner and breakfast v. Good. First night dining room service was a bit erratic… we will put it down to the excitement of all the snow! Would definitely go back.

The leisure centre is absolutely fabulous. Changing rooms are a touch small which would be the only downside. The gym is fully equipped for novices as well as professionals. The pool is just amazing. Very very warm for kids and highly enjoyable and very clean. Spa — would definitely recommend it. It's on the expensive side but you can buy packages and vouchers on pamper. Ie or in the spa itself that gives you various treatments for a portion of the price. This is one of the 4 spas that has a special 'beach room'. The ladies working there are so professional and friendly and make you feel completely at ease.

Family reunion @mountwolseley in January. It's a beautiful place. Breakfast was typically the same but always nice, dinner as well. Despite the weather, we were able to squeeze in a round of golf. A memorable stay.

Lovely staff, very relaxing stay. Nice food in bar and restaurant, thought not amazing food. Very good breakfast selection. Slightly older hotel now but in general maintained very well. Great place familys. We went as a couple and didn't find it was overwhelmed with kids and they have good facilitates for kids, any children we seen seen happy and no were running around etc so good place for couples also.

Have just spent the most amazing 2 days in Mount Wolseley. From start to finish it was the type of experience you can only dream of. Staff, Rooms, food and facilities were first class. If you ever get a chance to stay here. Take it. You will not be diappointed. Really hope I will be back. A big thank you to all at Mount Wolseley. Robbie.

We could not recommend Mount Wolseley enough as a wedding venue. Gill Long is the most amazing wedding planner — so thorough, friendly and truly professional throughout the whole time. Every hotel should have a planner like Gill. From our initial conversation late last New Year’s Eve 2016, Gill stayed back to chat to us and take us through the different packages available and give us a tour of the hotel. Nothing was a problem, she was able to tailor our package to our needs and accommodate any special requests we had. Communication was always clear and no detail was missed.
Along with Gill, we had the pleasure of meeting lots of other hotel staff. Gillian, our host on the night of our menu tasting was so professional and helpful when selecting the wine and food for the wedding day. Her knowledge of what works and what guests like was excellent. It all paid off when we received so much compliments from our guests after the wedding about the amazing food – the chefs did an amazing job. Compliments also have to go to Keith, PJ and Hannah who did so much for us in the days leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. They left no stone unturned when it came to looking after us and our guests with utmost care. We are so grateful for the entire Mount Wolseley experience, it was impeccable and a credit to the hotel’s stunning location and surroundings and most of all, its wonderful staff.

My husband and myself were there few days before Xmas and we had a great experience.
The hotel was nicely decorated and the staff was polite.
The restaurant is very good. I highly recommend it. The place is nice, the food is delicious and the staff is amazing.
The spa is very nice but you have to pay 25 euros p/p if you are guest to be able to use the thermal rooms. The place is clean and the steam room is just perfect to relax and clean your skin. There are towels all around the place (I loved that).
I would like to give an extra point for the breakfast. There are plenty of options and the food is delicious.
The leisure center is big and it has a gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool, steam room and sauna.

Beautiful hotel. Has reasonable mid week deals. The food is lovely, staff wonderful. We definitely will be going back. There is a beautiful forest park and gardens a short drive from it.

It Ok. Location is excellent. Rooms are small and a bit tired but they are 100% functional. Beds probably in need of replacement. Leisure centre needs an overhaul/ redecoration big time… but the kids loved it. I probably would not come back at the price but would if there was a special package.

Getting back to its previous high standard. Just one rung on the ladder below Mount Juliet which I would consider the best in the country.

Liked the hotel but when we arrived for a function later on that night, all we wanted was a sandwich to keep us going till the meal later. We were told that they were only serving a restricted menu so had to order the only option available on said menu. (My friend went for the soup because she didn't fancy the only open sandwich option on the menu) Not 10 mins later, trays of sandwiches were being served to another group. What 4 star hotel cannot russell up a few chicken salad sandwiches when asked? Also a bottle or two of complimentary water in the room would have been appreciated. Otherwise the function went well.

Had lovely overnight stay and would highly recommend. Staff very attentive and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in bar and resident singer Martin easy listening with his wide range of lyrics.

Had a great weekend here. Really enjoyed the spa and dry flotation in particular. Dinner was lovely from the set menu and breakfast was nice also. We had one of the suites so the bed was big enough that we didn't get another bed for our 4 year old. She loved it there also as there is a playroom.

I went to the spa and for afternoon tea with my friend for my birthday. The staff we so friendly and helpful. It was such a lovely day, very relaxing. I lost my bracelet in the spa and the staff did their very best a found it for me. I am a vegetarian so I couldn't have some of the normal afternoon tea menu and so the chef made so vegetarian friendly options for me. Overall, a lovely experience. Beautiful surroundings, lovely food and nice people.

We spent the day at the spa today it was amazing we got the diamond package such great value I couldn't recommend it enough the staff were so lovely also the food was fabulous such a wonderful place!

Beautiful hotel just outside Carlow town. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy. Staff very very friendly and the food in both the bar and restaurant was of a good standard. The golf course is a Tough test but fair. Would go back for return visit.

Lovely Hotel and Spa. Friendly staff, good food in the bar area — Aaron Lounge but dinner in the restaurant is not good. Pretentious French style that doesn't make it. Poor quality and tasteless food. Staff are very professional and friendly. Very good breakfast and the Spa treatments are the best we've had. Rooms are very comfortable and room service was quality and fast.

Just back from a two night stay. Great food, service, nice spa and a superb golf course. Lives up to its billing of 5 star resort.

A place where like to visit from time to time. A brilliant weekend at a family wedding. Great food. Great staff.

Greets. So we did not stay in the hotel but stayed in the lodges. These are spacious, four bedroom units with a completely open ground floor. The rooms are adequate with a twin, one single and two double bedrooms, one with ensuite. The bathrooms are poor, showers are noisy and have little power. The catering facilities are adequate, the cooker takes a bit of understand but the fridge is a good size and storage/delph is excellent. The back opens up to communal gardens but the orientation and large trees won't help you get a sun tan. I thought it was expensive for what it was.

Wow this course is a gem 4 of us travelled 2 play 2 rounds here and Bunclody. We played here at 9.30am and we had the course to ourselves all I can say is this is one of the most manicured courses I have played it deserves to be placed in the top 10 of ireland's courses. The layout suits a draw off the tee but plenty of room fairways are lush greens are smooth and true. Will definitely return here.

I am local, I have never stayed here but I have been to plenty of events here. I have had great fun there. Particularly in the Golf club venue. I don't recommend ordering at bar. Food is sub par. The waitress also did not heed my mothers request for gluten free option. My Mam is a Coeliac and she was very ill after her meal. Also and most importantly the coffee used is Cheap. It's the most disappointing thing for me. So if you are meeting a friend here. Go for a cup of tea :)

Staying in the holiday homes the hotel provides, they are very comfortable and spacious. Wi-Fi is not available in the homes and is very patchy in the hotel. There is a range of activities to do in the hotel which is great. Parking at the hotel is very good.

For the price off the hotel I was disappointed with the rooms. Small separate toilet felt very confining. Shower was small considering the size of the room it was in but bath was nice and sink area was well lit up which makes the small shower a strange idea. Pillows were all large and hard if like me you prefer a thin pillow ask for one. Restaurant food was OK but my partners order was taken wrong and I was more or less finished my food before she got her mains and then we were overcharged for the course she didn't order but I never noticed until after we left, it was only a small amount so didn't pursue it. In the staffs defense it was extremely busy that night so standards obviously slipped. As we had booked this for our anniversary celebration we were suitably disappointed over all. There were plenty of families there who appeared to be enjoying themselves so it might be a better option as a family break rather than a couples night away.

I love this place, the welcome is always flawless as is the setting, easy access to main roads makes this place easy to find while being tucked away in a beautiful corner of the world. The food is delicious with excellent catering for a gluten free diet. We love coming here and have tried to make it a tradition.

Just had my parent's 50th there. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough. Lovely hotel, nice food and large enough to accommodate numerous groups without interfering with each other yet still cosy enough to be welcoming and warm. Highly recommended.

We were at country music in MW last night a great night.

Quite a nice place to be. It has a very grand atmosphere. The rooms were lovely, and it was a change to have a lavatory separate from the main bathroom. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The food was quite tasty and I was thoroughly satisfied with each meal.

Very polite and helpful service a little bit slow.

We go there every year it's great you should go.

Thr swimming pool is so good thankd xxx.
