Absolutely loved our stay at The Twelve Hotel. We stayed in one of the dog friendly suites with our dog Alfie. It was spacious and had a fab king size bed. There was a dog blanket, 2 x bowls and even a personalized doggie gift bag. There was also some treats for us humans We will definitely be back Only 2 small issues. One was the pillows were way too soft and the other was the TV which had signal issues. I've no doubt they would have been sorted for us if we had of asked Food in the bar was amazing and service was great. They actually had designated areas for people with dogs and a doggie menu.

Fantastic lunch and dinner in The Pins today. Chicken wings and seafood chowder for lunch and excellent pizza for dinner. Very attentive service and friendly staff!

Had the pleasure of enjoying delicious gluten free fish and chips last week at 'the Pins ' … I'm a coeliac and am always limited with my options, but not in this restaurant… there was so much choice! In fact, it was a recommendation from another coeliac. Also great choices for those who were vegan and gluten free together, which is rare. My friend who was with me had fabulous gluten free/vegan risotto. The coffee afterwards was fab too and we had a very nice waiter called Rudy. Brilliant that it's dog friendly here too! Can't wait to go back.

The staff, as always were an absolute delight, especially Rudi in The Pins and Rachel on reception. Everyone was so lovely to myself, my husband, our little baby girl and our dog Alfie. Alfie took ill on our last morning and needed a vet urgently. Rachel organised it immediately and could not have been nicer. Rudi was so pleasant every evening at dinner and kindly arranged for boiled chicken for Alfie as he wasn't able to eat anything on the doggie menu. This was our third time as the Twelve but it certainly won't be our last! 5 star service all round!

Loved everything about this hotel. Friendly staff, from over the phone booking to arriving at reception, to restaurant staff for breakfast and dining upstairs. Food was fab especially the wonderful breakfast. Our room was fab. Located in the lovely little town of barna. Will definitely return. Thank you.

The best hotel in Galway! Attention to detail and service is impeccable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. You’ll never want to leave the restaurant it’s that good! Clean, comfortable, beautiful aesthetic and service that truly cares for their guests.

My daughter and I just came back from our first staycation with our 🐶 Diego from The Twelve Hotel and it could not have been any better. Staff were amazing, food was excellent and the rooms were fab. They made us all very welcome and catered to our every need. We'll defiently be back.

Just arrived and very disappointed-we were advise our dog was large on booking a dog friendly room we specifically chose this hotel as it purports to dog friendly. On checking in we were charged for our full stay only to be told once we brought our bags up to our room that we couldn’t have bar food or bring our dog in to the bar area — again we were told when booking that we couldn’t eat in the main restaurant but we could eat in the bar area — we are with the height restriction on their manifest but now we’re told it’s a few inches shorter — very unprofessional and extremely annoyed.

Twelve hotel is a gem in Galway, friendly staff, great customer service and the food fantastic. Wonderful ambience. No effort was spared to make our stay for our engagement so enjoyable.

Fantastic hotel. Staying here for 4 nights and loving every minute. Staff are super friendly and the whole hotel has an air of relax. Great bar and bar food and an amazing restaurant. And Barna is a great little village. Rooms are great too.

We had a lovely 2 day stay in the 12 hotel. Room was luxurious and bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent with a great choice of dishes. Friendly staff and lovely bar. Will be back.

Food at the West restaurant is basically fine dining without the exorbitant price tag. Have been here several times and it always lives up to expectations. On top of that the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They do everything at the Twelve so well with a personal touch and a thoughtful extra. Always a wonderful experience to stay here.

Hands down-the BEST boutique hotel!. Everything from the exquisite cuisine, quirky and stylish decor with such character, and the AMAZING managers and staff. The Twelve offers nothing less than the best in hospitality. The seaweed bath and spa was wonderful and the mood lighting in the bathroom was very innovative. The Twelve is a true gem

Wonderful place and great staff. Bakery, bar, and restaurant were all fantastic.

The food and room was great. Had a bit of a problem with food service, they were not attentive and one waitress was just an idiot. Check in was wonderful and the ladies there were so great.

Just back from a night at The Twelve with my doggy Macey. So impressed by the attention she received. Lovely hotel. Amazing staff. Great spacious suite. Pizzas to die for and the cocktails weren’t bad either. Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Definitely be back.

Dog friendly, helpful staff, spotlessly clean. Mini bar in the rooms. My wife particularly loved the mood lighting in the bathroom. I loved the elevator. Style, coupled with home comforts. It certainly didn’t feel snooty or too posh. I loved it and always say that I will revisit when the opportunity arises.

We stayed in twelve hotel last weekend for our anniversary. We had a fantastic weekend and stay in the twelve hotel.
the welcome we received was so nice, staff were so kind and helpful.
we got to our room we received a lovely chocolate plate and card from hotel wishing us a happy anniversary and wonderful stay. It made our day.
we had dinner in west restaurant and the staff were outstanding, so helpful and went out there way for us. We felt so special. All in all great hotel we definitely be back. The staff,, food, facilties are just fantastic. It little touches that made it for us.

We have had a fabulous time since we arrived on monday and left on wednesday. We brought our dog Blue and literally from the minute we arrived the staff were amazing. The room was amazing for just the 3 of us, the food in the bar was fabulous, the staff went above and behond and got Blue water, a doggie menu and one of the morning staff on even went and got him a slice of Bacon! we will gladly be back, it was also a nice way for us to spend our 1st wedding anniversary! Thank you to all the fabulous stafc again xx.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. We also did dinner and breakfast the next morning. The hosts we're more attentive to the people there than any place I have ever been. Upscale stop, but well worth it if you're near Galway.

Went there in July 2018. Really amazing hotel. I love how calm it was there and its near Galway. Everyone there was very kind to us and I really recommend it there. The price is fair and the rooms are clean and modern. They have good breakfast and the restaurants are great. The staff is very helpful.

Nice place! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The bathroom needed some drywall work, previous repairs were not well done. Not enough outlets available for us as guests but others may not care about that. The housekeeping could use to be a bit more through (trash not emptied and dirty dishes not replaced/cleaned and no way for us to wash them).

We celebrated our wedding at the Twelve Hotel last June and everyone had an amazing time! Fergus and the team went above and beyond to make our day a very special one. The dinner menu was so delicious and the wine pairing was perfect. Our wedding cake from the Pins Bakery was also a huge hit and looked gorgeous — thanks Norma. The setting was beautiful, warm and intimate. Thanks to Fergus and the brilliant staff for doing such a great job! And of course our suite was absolutely amazing with romantic decor, our wedding flowers were brought up and best of all the hot tub! I highly recommend this hotel to celebrate your wedding.

Really nice hotel. Pizzas and bar food is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly which is brilliant for us. Beautiful location and great places to eat nearby if you're just staying for a few nights. Great cocktail list too. Make an excellent Tullamore D. E. W. Whiskey sour. Could probably use a lick of paint or mini update in parts but really enjoyed our time there, so much so we've been twice and will be back again.

Unbelievable place, had a fantastic weekend there. We were upgraded to the Suite X11 and it was amazing. Beautifully designed lounging area, jacuzzi, the furniture and decor was fabulous and the tea making area was amazing. From the moment we arrived to the finish the staff were so accommodating (as we have very specific dietary requirements) they even left soya milk in the room for us so we could have tea! The spa was fantastic and the food in the West was unbelievable, the service Fergus provided was top class and the food was perfect! I would highly recommend this place. I can't wait to return.

Absolutely loved my stay here, from start to finish. We were so delighted and surprised to find out that we got an upgraded room from the one we booked, at the same price. The suite XII was AMAZING, the decor, the cleanliness, the design, it was absolutely fabulous and I cannot wait to return to it sometime in the near future. The receptionists were so friendly and welcoming and dinner in the West was so accommodating to our dietary requirements, the chef went out of his way to make something special for us and it was absolutely perfect (not too filling but just right) and Fergus made dinner so enjoyable, he was fantastic, with his recommendations and his service, I was so happy with it. Couldn't recommend this beautiful place highly enough, I'm just disappointed we didn't stay for a longer period of time. Next time our visit will certainly be a longer one. Thank you all so much. A very pleasant hotel with a first class staff. The hotel restaurant wasn't open when I visited, but the adjoining bar restaurant that is part of the hotel was much more an off-street restaurant and didn't prove to be as well run as the main hotel. Barna is great location; just at the edge of Connemara.

Great place to stay in Galway. Was able to check in early, received homemade treats upon check in, and the staff was beyond helpful. Breakfast and the cafe at the hotel we realso very good. Highly recommend to anyone!

Food superb, rooms beautiful, gorgeous village and surroundings, however go to bed early before the night porter comes in! An aggressive angry man! You won't get residential bar preference in this hotel!

Great food and service! We were a group of 8 for my father's birthday. The staff helped organise a birthday treat with candles. Food was amazing and going with a large group meant we got to experience a lot of the dishes. The first photo is the pigeon starter. The second is the cut of beef for two. Delicious and a generous portion, we didn't in fact, we want to save room for dessert.

I really like this. If I could have eaten in the upstairs restaurant this would almost definitely be a five star review. Great bar. Very good range of beers on tap and bottled. Lovely room with good appointments. Will definitely go again.

I could not recommend this beautiful, unique hotel more. I recently got engaged here and all the staff from the owner to the managers, to the girls behind the desk and even the waiting and bar staff, went absolutely above and beyond to make it a special weekend for me and my partner. They conspired with my partner from Dublin to get the preparation just right and had everything decorated and organized for my surprise proposal when I got there. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is amazing, in both the pins and the well known west restaurant. We stayed in XII suite so needless to say our room was beyond amazing. I could not have picked a better place to create such amazing memories and I am so thankful to everyone who was involved. Top marks from me!

Very hospitable. We were greeted with a warm drink, and tea cakes and chocolate in our room with a hand written welcome note. The West restaurant and the Pins Bakery have some of the best food in Ireland.

Myself and my wife went there on our 24th wedding anniversary on the the 23rd Feb 2018 we booked the funnymoon suite and I was really looking forward to it but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised when they said that we got an upgrade to the presidential suite. It was a beautiful room with a double jacuzzi double shower and a king size bed I think if not bigger. Very comfortable we had B&B and 1 evening dinner the food was fantastic. I would like to say thank you to the staff for an amazing time and we will definitely be back again.

Myself and my husband pat and our dog bonnie have just arrived home after a fabulous 2 nights in the twelve. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. All the staff were exceptional. Our suite was fab and our meal in the west was one of the nicest meals we have ever had. I cannot. Say enough good things. They also were fab with bonnie. It was our first time taking our dog away with us and it is something we will defo do again in the twelve. Thank you all so much.

We had our wedding of around 80 people at The Twelve in early Jan 2018. We organised it from overseas. We had a fabulous day and The Twelve exceeded expectations. Fergus the manager and all of the staff went out of their way to make the planning very smooth and easy and the day itself fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and many times service went above and beyond. We had many guests staying for a few nights also and tell us how impressed they were with both the service and the food over the whole weekend. The hotel has a lovely welcoming feel, the food and wine options were great, the bedrooms were unique and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone who wants a smaller, intimate wedding and also anyone who just wants a few nights away in a fabulous hotel!

Nice hotel; meal in the West restaurant a little disappointing. Table booked for 7.30 for four and 3 of the mains were unavailable which were the ones we wanted. Mathew the French maitre d was very attentive. Not the best dessert selection compared to the last time I was there. Great breakfast all staff very good. Extensive gin menu and loads of beers. Watched two six nations matches in the bar, great atmosphere. Aircondition quite noisy if I have to be picky. Overall 3 stars out of 5.

We stayed at The Twelve Hotel for the first time this weekend as a group of 6 and we are all so impressed. Such a beautiful hotel in every way. The staff are so professional and friendly. The food was excellent and the rooms are amazing. This hotel is ideally located for Galway city and is so welcoming. Check in and out was so easy. Definitely want to recommend.

Amazing hotel in Barna, Co. Galway. The food is top quality. One of the nicest hotels in the country.

My cocktail was unreal. The server was exceptional. Food was okay. I've had better food here. The meat quality wasn't as hood as it usually is and the meal was a bit of a let down. I am putting it down to a bad day though because usually I have a great meal here.

Trendy and stylishly decorated. Free car parking and courteous staff. Easily could have given 5 stars, except check in took 15 mins late at night and we were not informed of breakfast times so missed it. Still I would stay here again.

Very good hotel! I advise you to stay at the restaurant of the Hotel Le Pim.

Accommodations we're fine. Wires, switches and lights all over the room. Couldn't tell what's what so we just unplugged stuff. No laundry bag in room, not list of cable stations. But they were friendly.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Twelve Hotel. We arrived to a beautifully decorated reception area and were attended to right away by very hospitable staff and were offered a welcome drink. We booked the Funnymoon Suite, and it was well worth it. We even received a complementary bottle of Champagne! The room was beautiful as well and had a fantastic view of the main street, without being noisy. We dined in the West restaurant and that in itself was an absolute pleasure. The food was beyond what normal food is. Everything was presented in such an usual way and it was all thoroughly thought out. Gourmet food at it's finest! Breakfast the next morning was wonderful as well, a delicious full Irish. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. This was my second stay and I hope to return many, many more times.

Perfect hotel for business travelers and tourists. You truly feel relaxed and taken care of in this modern hotel. Breakfast was exceptional and dinner was one of the best places I ate in Ireland. Quick access to anywhere on the Galway bay.

Hi the twelve food was not as good as previous visits. We normally eat there 3 times a year. For instance the fish and chips the chips were over salted. Ths pasta dish special of the day the pasta sauce was not consistently spread/mixed into the pasta, would definitely think twice before returning before tonight I would have always recommended the twelve as a great place to eat.

I have been here several times. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is a bit expensive but you won't be disappointed with whatever you order. There is not that much parking underground but I've always managed to find a spot. The rooms are nice and clean too. I absolutely love the decor! Look forward to returning soon.

In our room which overlooks the most frequented avenue of the region, the sound rises a 65 db at each vehicle pass either every 10 seconds, 30 at night!
The Deco is more than antiquated, the mattresses uncomfortable and is far (20 min) from the center of Galway)
to flee…

We stayed in The Twelve recently for three nights and had a great time. We were travelling with two teenagers and found the family suite was ideal.! From the minute we checked in to when we left we could'nt praise the staff enough they were really friendly and helpful. The food was great both in the bar and restaurant. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back.

Worst hotel and restaurant service ever. Do not come to this place. You endure the longest wait times in all of Galway for any food ordered, an example of how I mean to refer to; for even just a simple cup of coffee, on an entirely non-crowded day you could be waiting half an hour in this place, thats literally no word of a lie and word not just from me at all either. Try and speculate how much longer you have to wait on such fools for a meal on any day of the weak; pretty long and over-extended wait time, don't go there seriously. I am most deadly serious on that, do not think that that is just word from me because absolutely not, no it just isn't, it certainly isn't, not at all, not ever!. Secondly, last but most definitely not least, they have the rudest and most incompetent staff members ever; they absolutely never show up when they are needed and when they do they are the rudest, brashest and most incompetent idiots the world over, in a way that I and many others which I am associated find it shocking to believe that you would ever find their likes given such a job role. No marks for this place whatsoever and if I could give this place lesser than that, I can tell you that so help me all that is sacred I truly would and most far lesser indeed, enough said at that.

Wonderful hotel! We hosted a 70th birthday party for my granddad here and the staff was wonderfully helpful when we were setting up. The rooms have a "antique" vibe that is very welcoming (think lots of wood accents), & the staff again threw in a delicious treat with the room!

The Twelve in Barna is really three places in one: a hotel (haven’t stayed so no review), a bar restaurant and a fine dining restaurant. Downstairs is the bar restaurant great food and very friendly. It can get busy but is open most of the time so it's easy to go at a quiet time. The pizza’s are excellent and made in a huge pizza oven in the bakery. Other options are diverse, imaginative and always a treat. Upstairs is The West. It's probably in the top 5 restaurants in Galway. We go there for special occasions and have always enjoyed the experience with amazing food and perfect service. As is the way in the west of Ireland, formality is minimal so The West offers a relaxed quality that would often be much more formal in other cities.

I was here for a work Christmas party and a private party and both were excellent. I have to admit the food was original and we could see the staff working really hard with great results. Some people that I know swear by this place and now I know why.

Best steak in Galway and the pizzas are amazing too. Good team that never dissapoints.

This is a small place in the middle of nowhere with a charm and it was a crowded every night. The locals know a good thing when they have it.

Perfect base camp to explore the spectacular city of Galway, which we did in the autumn of 2013. Every star is well owned: great service, great food — especially the breakfast — and great people. Also nice surroundings from the lovely beach (quite near) to the eponymous hills.

Lunch at the Pins was perfect. Excellent service and top notch food. The dessert pizzas are also super tasty.

My fiance and I really enjoyed our stay at The Twelve, it was the highlight of our trip to Ireland! We stayed at a 5 star hotel the night before and can say that The Twelve was better in every way. Our room was spacious and clean and we liked the decor. The highlight however was the food, both our dinner and breakfast were excellent and all the food at bakery next door looked delicious! The staff were excellent too. We seriously considered altering our travel plans to stay another night. I wouldn't think of recommending to people to stay anywhere else when they are near Galway.
