Very Nice time, always like The Great Basra.
The hotel is great and customer service is great, however, I just checked in about 2 hours ago and the reception are asking me that my "Arabic" is not that good. I told the reception that we fled from Iraq (Occupied Assyria) because of all the moslem persecution and they looked at me funny and they asked me where you from. I said to them I am Assyrian from Assyria and this is my country and land that your living on and you are invaders of this land. They didnt like what I said but this is the truth that they are invaders. Long story short, they saw that I was not scared and I looked them right in the eyes with attitude and they just said to me "enjoy your stay sir" lol.

This is Basra International Hotel, previously it was carrying Sheraton Brands, but after the sanctions on Iraq the Brand had been removed from the Hotel. The service is very good right now but it didn't get the standards that was working on it since it was under Sheraton Brand. This hotel needs for good trained staff despite the existing service. The hotel restaurant presents a delicious meals. As well as the view on Shatt Al Arab River is excellent. I hope the success for it.
