Stayed at Sofia Boutique Residence in Sleman and absolutely loved it. The hotel feels luxurious but still cozy — elegant interiors, soft lighting, and a calm atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with modern touches. Everything looked well-maintained, from the bathroom to the bedding. The attention to detail really stands out — it’s the kind of place where you can tell they care about comfort and aesthetics.
The staff were super polite and helpful from check-in to check-out. Service felt personal and warm, not just formal. The breakfast was great too, with a good variety and excellent quality — especially the pastries and local dishes.
The location is peaceful, away from the main noise of the city but still easy to reach popular spots around Yogyakarta. It’s perfect for a relaxing stay or even a romantic getaway.
Overall, Sofia Boutique Residence delivers both style and comfort. Definitely one of the nicest boutique hotels I’ve stayed at in Jogja — worth every penny and would love to come back again.

Absolutely loved my stay! The location is perfec. A short drive to the US Embassy (which wa the motive of my trip to get my visa) and place is surrounded by great restaurants. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Highly recommend!

BAD EXPIRIENCE, Never in my life step in this hotel AGAIN!. The AC was worst, I can’t even sleep all night. Thankfully I only stayed one night. Even when im up in the morning it still hot. And IM SWEATING while sleeping.

Sofia boutique residence has a unique building. With 5 rooms in each floor. This hotel dominant in black colour. This hotel is a good choice to unwind after work.

Fancy architecture. Top ceiling. Contemporary or continental style. Comfort bed. Satisfactory with the service, coffee machine and mini bar snacks. Clean toilet. But need to fix a light bulb, keep buzzing. Anyway, we will reserve this again wherever we come to jogjakarta.

Just stop by suddenly for lunch. The restaurant was so quiet, feeling cold with lux boutique interiors. Food was served quite long for about 45 minutes. The taste is average.
Bad manners: The staff in FO was not good manners, needed to training Hospitality service sequence. Main looby doors are empty now one like quiet, no security, no doorman just like no operation building even actually is.

Claims as a boutique hotel. The architecture suits its name. But there is a lack of aircond at the lobby and I feel a bit "warm" Down the alley. Great parking spaces but outdoors. Only fewer options for breakfast,. Big size room and bathroom, over 40 meters square for deluxe.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the rooms to be quite nice. The exterior and interior design were both impressive, and the overall atmosphere was very comfortable. However, I was disappointed that the toilet in my room could only be flushed once and took a long time to fill up before it could be flushed again. This meant that I had to go to the lobby to use the restroom for more extensive needs.
The breakfast menu had a lot of options, but unfortunately, the food was served cold and tasted too light. I also discovered that I could order scrambled eggs for breakfast only after 4 days of staying there since there was no live cooking or information provided. Nevertheless, the taste of the scrambled eggs was quite bland.
Overall, the room was good, but the bed sheets were not 100% clean, as there were black stains on them. I did not complain at the start as I was not particularly bothered by it. However, during check-out, the hotel staff inquired about the stains, and wrongly assumed they were from massage oil.
Despite these issues, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and I hope the management can address these concerns to improve the guest experience in the future.

Spacious room and bathroom. Good service. There is dedicated car parking area, but its open space without roof. Internet connection is not good, average connection speed is only 3-4Mbps. Great hotel interior design. The room needs some cleaning and painting work in detail, for now, the rug looks a bit dirty and the chair paint looks peeling. The rooms are quiet and good for resting. A bit far from the main road.

Absolutely loved our 5 days stay at this fantastic hotel. Rooms are made with unique character and double glazed sound proof windows. Stylish interior of the entire building in and out. Staff are friendly and professional. Delicious breakfast!
So worth it!
